Life According To Amber Haner
Summary
Amber Haner appears to be your average thirteen year old girl; she can be sarcastic, bitchy, moody and underneath all of that, she has the biggest heart in the world. But if you look beneath the surface, she's fighting her own battles and her life isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
Amber's mom, Lily, has just passed away from cancer. This is just one of the many struggles that Amber is currently facing. She tries to stay as strong as she can for the people around her, but there's only so long that you can stay strong for. She torn up inside, but she doesn't want anybody to see her fall down.
Youre probably wondering; "where does Amber's biological dad fit into this?" and the reason is quite straightforward; Amber hasn't met him, nor does she know who he is. Lily fled to LA from Huntington Beach at the age of seventeen, having found out that she was pregnant with her highschool boyfriend Brian Haner's daughter. His band were just starting to gain popularity, and she left to save his career.
Under sad circumstances, Amber finally gets to meet her dad, but will they connect instantly like they've known each other for years, or will they hate each other?

Characters
Amber Haner
Brian's daughter. Amber can be considered shy/sarcastic/occasionally bitchy, but she has a really big heart. She goes through quite a good bit of heartbreak throughout the fic, and doesn't have the best of luck.
Arin Ilejay
He's married to Kim, and the drummer/newest member of Avenged Sevenfold.
Austin Carlile
Amber's step-father. Lead vocalist for Of Mice & Men.
Brian Haner
Amber's dad. He's Synyster Gates, the lead guitarist for Avenged Sevenfold.
Johnny Seward
He's Johnny Christ, bassist of Avenged Sevenfold. He's sometimes called "Gnome".
Kim Andrade-Ilejay
She's married to Arin, and she's very close to Amber.
Lily Dawson
Amber's mom. Lily has a form of brain cancer, and has for the past four years. She's married to Austin Carlile, who's Amber's step-father.
Luke Brooks
Amber's best friend. They meet when Amber transfers to Huntington Middle School. Luke's from Melbourne in Australia.
Matt Sanders
Amber's godfather. He's M. Shadows, lead vocalist for Avenged Sevenfold.
Meaghan
She's Zack's fiancée, and model for VU
Michelle DiBendetto
Amber's sort-of step-mom. She's Brian's ex-wife but still a close friend.
Val DiBendetto-Sanders
Amber's godmother. She's married to Matt, and mom to River and AJ* (*i don't know the new baby's name, so I just used AJ as a name)
Zack Baker
He's Zacky Vengeance, rhythm guitarist for Avenged Sevenfold.
