Chapter Dos

"It's Cindy." The voice on the phone said.
"Cindy! Hey! I'm glad you called what is this about you dropping out?" I asked, mentally gagging myself.
"Yeah, I'm just so stressed out about this college thing," She sighed and something on her side of the line.
"Well, you have me and Kelly. You we can always help you. Don't quit on us-AHH!" I screamed and dropped the phone watching it skid across the hard wood floor, "Megan!?" I yelled, notlooking away from the livingroom, "Why are their five, large, tattooed men in our livingroom?" I asked, taking a couple steps back into the hallway to wait for MEgan to come out of her room. She had the key to the guest rooms in her hand, I eyed it suspiciously.
"They're our guests." she said, walking past me into the living room. I followed, "Boys, meet my room mate/best friend, Devon."
The men lifted their hands one by one to wave at me. I tried to take them all in, "No," I finally said, shaking my head, "No."
I walked out of the living room into the kitchen, "I know this is Larry's doing, what's his number?" I called out to her as she was still in the living room.
"NOOO!" Megan yelled, running into the kitchen and yanking the phone out of my hand.
"Megan, how do I know these men are safe enough to be in our home?" I asked, my eyes wide as I stared at her.
"But, They're a band!" She whined, looking at me with pleading eyes.
"I don't care they could be killers!" I exclaimed, taking the phone back from her.
"Please, Larry said it would only be for a couple of days until their concert stops being cancelled due to the weather.
My mouth dropped open, "Megan! It always rains here!" I pointed out, motioning to the window behind me, it could be weeks before their concert to stop being cancelled!" My voice kept rising.
"Please?" Megan whispered to me, staring wide eyed at me. I ran both hands through my hair before sighing, defeated.
"Fine, but once their concert is good, then they leave, understand?" I moaned as she skipped away, happily, "I hate my life, I moaned to myself.
My phone rang in my hand, Kelly. I moaned again, "Hello?"
"Did you talk to er?" He asked immediately.
"Hello to you too." I said, annoyed as I walked into the livingroom to take in the sight. The five men sat on every piece of furniture I owned trying to make themselves comfortable. They're going to be a huge mess, "She called me but I disconnected due to a small home matter." I said, watching as one of the men, rough housed with another. Cringing as a lamp wobbled on the stand it was on.
"Oh, okay, call her back after you're done taking to me." He demanded in a kind voice.
"I'll do whatever I want to do, Kelly," I snarled. I pulled out my sketch pad and opened it up to a new page.
"Right of course," he mumbled, "What are we doing for our project?" He asked his voice full of eagerness.
I rolled my eyes and sat down on the floor in front of the coffee table, completely ignoring the spot next to the more muscular of the men on the couch. I put Kelly on speaker so I could draw.
"Well, do you want the center of attention to be a person, if so do you want it to be a male or female?" I asked, taking out some charcoal to draw with.
"A woman, we can have her hair blowing all around her." He said, I could imagine him playing with the small scruff of beard that he has on his chin.
"Okay." I said, sketching the head of the woman and started on her hair.
"Can we have fire in the background?" He asked, hopefully.
I rolled my eyes, "yes."
Megan walked into the living room, "Boys, your rooms are ready." She exclaimed, proud of herself.
"Shhh!" I hissed trying to concentrate.
"Sorry, hey Kelly." She apologized.
"Hey, Meg, what's up?" Kelly asked, using the nickname Megan hated.
She cringed, "Don't call me Meg, Kelly." She warned.
"Sorry," He said, in a shamed voice.
I sighed and rubbed the bridge of my noise and noticed the muscular man staring at me, "What?" I snapped, annoyed.
He just smirked and then shrugged, "Nothing."
