Two Vibrant Hearts

Chapter Fourty-Two

I began curling my now blue hair while dancing to Pierce The Veil. Tonight I had decided to go out to Liquid by myself so maybe I’d make some new friends. Emma was out with Johnny and the rest of the guys were all hanging out today. I still had to get dressed and put my makeup on, but I knew that I could take all the time I needed.

James had left yesterday, and Zach called to talk about it with me. He wanted to see me in person to do it, but I told him that I was busy today and we could do it another time. I really wanted to try to make some girl friends, since one of the two were no longer involved.

I finished curling my hair and I flipped out my silver lip ring with my black one before starting on my makeup. After the long endurance of trying to get my eyeliner symmetrical, I went out of the bathroom to pick out a dress. I decided to wear a white mini ball gown dress with white heels, since I also wanted to feel a little sexy. I wasn’t expecting to pick up a guy since I had that small hope that Matt would forgive me, but I had to keep my options open.

Once everything was perfect, I grabbed my black clutch purse and threw my ID, phone, and some spare cash in it before heading out. I took off my heels when I got to my car so I could actually drive, and I headed towards Liquid. I hadn’t been there since the date, but I mean, I hadn’t really been anywhere since then. Excitement was building in me as I got closer, really wanting to let go tonight. Even if I didn’t make friends tonight, it still gave me an excuse to get drunk and have fun. And if I did get drunk, I could always just call Brian or something.

I got to Liquid a few minutes later and pulled my heels on before anxiously walking to the entrance. When I got in, I immediately went to the bar and got me an appletini. Of course, though, the fucking bartender tried to kick me out. After I identified my age, I sipped on my drink for a little while, scoping out any people that seemed fun and my age. There were a lot of people here tonight, but that was probably because it was Saturday. As I ordered another drink, a girl with long black hair with two black haired boys came up next to me. As they were ordering, I examined them.

The girl with black hair was wearing a blood red form-fitting dress and black heels. She looked about my height, and she had bright green eyes, which was complimented by her dark makeup. The shorter one of the boys actually had purple strips in his hair, which was down to just above his shoulders. He was wearing a white button-up shirt and black skinny jeans with red converse, and he had big brown eyes that had a layer of guyliner around it. The taller boy was thinner than the shorter one, and his black hair was a lot shorter than the shorter boy’s hair, but it was still kind of floppy. He had bright blue eyes, which stuck out from his all-black outfit that was similar to the shorter boy’s outfit.

They all looked related, but they were all similar to my age. The girl noticed me staring and smiled at me, which cause me to blush and look away. She turned her body half way and hit the short boy’s shoulder. She whispered something in his ear, constantly glancing at me. The boy looked me up and down and smiled kindly at me, and I gave a small smile back to him. I finished off my drink and ordered another one, trying to keep my eyes off the three people next to me. As they all got there drink, I looked at them once more to see that they were all looking at me.

“Hi.” The girl greeted. I smiled a little and waved at her. She came closer a little and sat on the stool next to me. “I’m Jordyn.”

“I’m… Jessica.” I introduced myself, trying not to make a face at my name. I didn’t want a random girl to call me Kid, since that was an Avenged thing. She noticed my discomfort and turned her head a little.

“What’s your last name?” She asked. I was a little taken back by her question, but I obliged and answered her,

“Caron.”

“J.C…” She muttered. The smaller boy turned to us and finished his drink before clearing his throat a little.

“You look like you don’t enjoy the name Jessica, so why don’t you go by Jaycee?” The boy said. I blinked a little, smiling at the nickname. When I was younger I had tried to make that name work, but no one ever called me that, so I sufficed with Jessi.

“I like that.” Jordyn clapped, patting the boy on the back. I smiled and looked up at the tall boy, who was staring at me.

“We haven’t introduced ourselves,” He began, his voice deep. “I’m Jamison, and this is my boyfriend TJ.”

“It’s nice to meet you guys,” I replied, smiling at the word boyfriend. They were really cute together, and they all seemed really nice.

“We have more friends than this, but most of them are home sick,” Jordyn explained, pouting a little.

“Yeah, we also have Lyssa and Cass,” TJ began, taking another sip of his drink.

“And our other group of dating friends, Dalton and Alyx,” Jamison added. I smiled and Jordyn giggled.

“Alyx is a boy, by the way,” Jordyn pointed out.

“Fine by me. So is it just you guys here?” I questioned, letting them know that I wasn’t one to judge. They smiled widely, catching my statement, and shook their head.

“Her sister Demi is here,” Jamison said, putting his hand on Jordyn’s shoulder. Jordyn grimaced and sighed.

“You don’t like your sister?” I questioned, raising my eyebrows. She shook her head.

“No, I just don’t like bringing her to clubs. She always attaches herself to boys,” Jordyn chuckled, taking a drink. I nodded and they gave me a curious look.

“Do you have any friends here?” TJ asked, staring at me with wonder.

“No. I only have one friend and she’s with her boyfriend.” I answered, leaving out the boys. I didn’t want them to know I was friends with Avenged Sevenfold in case they used me just to get to them, because that would suck so much.

“Incorrect. You had one friend.” Jordyn stated, smiling widely. I smiled back and laughed a little.

“Sweet, that’s what I came here for.” I said, smiling widely at her. We talked for a little, consisting mostly of Jordyn and I complimenting each other’s outfits.

“Do you want to hang out after the club?” Jordyn asked. I nodded and she smiled widely. Jamison hit her and she gave him a look.

“What about us?” TJ asked for Jamison, which caused Jamison to wrap his arms around TJ’s waist and kiss his head.

“If we go to my house you guys can come. Emma won’t mind.” I offered, smiling at them. Jordyn and Jamison smiled, but TJ raised an eyebrow.

“Emma?” TJ said in a questioning tone. I narrowed my eyes a little bit and nodded. “Your roommate is a girl.”

“Yes. She’s my best friend.” I answered, giving him a weird look. I could tell where TJ was going with it, and it amused me. Jamison groaned and lightly hit the back of TJ’s head.

“TJ wants to know if you and Emma are together.” Jamison spat out, making me laugh.

“If you count sharing a bed as being together,” I chuckled before shaking my head. “No, we’re not together. As much as she wishes she were with me, she has Johnny.”

“Are we going to meet Johnny tonight?” Jordyn asked, curiosity in her eyes.

“I don’t know, honestly. I don’t even know if you’ll meet Emma. She might stay at Johnny’s like she usually does.” I answered simply, shrugging. Everyone nodded and I looked at Jamison.

“Hey Jamison?” I called, trying to get his attention. He looked at me and I smiled. “I love your name and all, but it’s kind of a mouth full. Is there a nickname you go by?”

“You’re not the first one that’s said that,” Jamison chuckled. I smiled and he returned it. “I usually go by Jamie or James.”

“You remind me of my old friend James, so I’ll call you that,” I informed him. He nodded and then took a drink from his cup. We all stayed and got another round until the cover of Blame It by Of Mice & Men came on. We all screamed and ran into the crowd, all tipsy enough to let go and dance. Jordyn and I danced with each other, while Jamison and TJ danced together. After that song ended we continued to stay on the dance floor, the alcohol raising our energy levels. It seemed like forever until we decided to stop for another drink, and when we did a girl that looked like Jordyn stumbled up to us, either highly drunk or crashing from being drunk.

“Hey Demi.” TJ greeted.

“Sup Teej?” Demi slurred. I eyed Demi, trying to find any resemblance to Jordyn. They definitely had similar noses, and the only difference I could really tell is that Demi’s face was wider, indicating that she must be older.

“Nothing much. We’re just hanging out with our new friend, Jaycee.” James explained, sending a warm smile to me. Demi looked over at me and looked me up and down before smiling.

“Hi, I’m Demi.” She introduced, sticking her hand out to me. I shook her hand and smiled.

“Jaycee.” I repeated before letting go of her hand. Demi sighed and looked at Jordyn, who was hiding her face.

“What’s up, sis?” Demi asked, playfully punching Jordyn’s arm. Jordyn looked at her before sighing and putting her hand down from her face.

“Demi, you’re my older sister. You shouldn’t be acting like you’re younger than me,” Jordyn complained, groaning a little. Demi let out a drunken laugh before punching her again.

“I can do what I want.” Demi retorted before ordering another drink. Jordyn gave me a look and I just shrugged before ordering myself a drink. We all just made small chat for a little bit before Demi glanced at me. “So what are our plans tonight?”

“We were all going back to Jaycee’s house.” James informed her. Demi nodded a little before making an odd face.

“How will we get back to her house?” Demi questioned. Everyone looked at me and I pursed my lips.

“I’m sure Emma or my step-brother wouldn’t mind picking us up if necessary.” I said, hoping that Emma would be willing to get us. Demi clapped her hands excitedly and jumped a little.

“Perfect! Because I want us all to get shit-faced.” Demi announced. Everyone seemed up for it except for Jordyn, and Demi noticed. “C’mon you party pooper. Why are you so down?”

“Demi, you always have us get shit-faced. You’re going to kill us.” Jordyn whined, putting on a pouty face. Demi smirked and wrapped her arm around my neck.

“We’re initiating Jaycee into our group!” Demi shouted. Jordyn sighed before looking sympathetically at me.

“I’m sorry. If Demi is freaking you out, you can go home.” Jordyn offered. I shook my head and smiled.

“It’s fine. I haven’t had fun in a while, and what’s better than getting shit-faced with a bunch of friends?” I commented. Everyone smiled widely and Demi squealed.

“Sweet! Let’s get started shall we?” Demi yelled. We all cheered and began ordering shots.

“H-hey, Emma.” I slurred into the phone.

“My God, Jessi. How drunk are you?” Emma asked. I laughed loudly and looked at my friends. James and TJ were sucking face, and Demi and Jordyn were laughing about something that happened in their childhood.

“Pretty damn drunk!” I cackled, throwing my head back. “And because of that I can’t drive for shit. Can you pick me up and then tomorrow we get my car?”

“I don’t know what I’m going to do with you, Jessi,” Emma sighed.

“You’re going to love me because I’m fucking awesome.” I mumbled.

“Fine. Are you at Liquid?” Emma questioned.

“Sure am.” I answered proudly.

“Okay, I’ll be there soon.” Emma groaned.

“By the way, I have new friends and they’re coming home with us.” I informed her, looking back at everyone. My vision started blurring, so I could barely see them. “Ha-ha, guys, you’re like fucking blobs of nothingness!”

“I better be the prettiest blob!” TJ retorted. I laughed loudly, which caused everyone to laugh as well.

“Are they all as drunk as you?” Emma asked.

“P-probably more drunker.” I stuttered.

“More drunker doesn’t make sense, silly!” James cooed to me. I pouted and he came over and gave me a hug.

“Oh my God, Jessi.” Emma grumbled. I let out a small burp before hiccupping and shaking my head.

“H-hey. We need friends. These guys are awesome.” I retorted.

“Whatever. I’ll be there soon.” Emma mumbled.

“I looooovvveeee yoooouuuuuu Emma!” I squealed right before she hung up. I looked to the others, who were all staring at me. “My bestie Emma is on her way.”

“Yaaaay!” They all called.

“Is she drunk too?” Demi asked excitedly. I giggled and shook my head, which made me dizzy.

“No, silly! She has to drive!” I snickered. Demi pouted and made a funny face.

“She’d be funner if she was drunk.” Demi mumbled. We all laughed and talked about random stuff until Emma arrived. After about ten minutes Emma pulled up and I squealed. She got out of her car and looked at us.

“Baby!” I screamed, running up to her. I smashed my lips against hers and everyone ooh’ed. Emma pulled away and wiped her lips, trying to keep a straight face.

“If you were sober I’d punch you in the face. But you’re not, so you’re off the hook for kissing me.” Emma stated calmly. I pouted and my lip quivered.

“You don’t love me?” I cried, wrapping my arms around her.

“Jessi, you know my boundaries. Get the fuck off or I’m leaving you here and taking the rest of them.” Emma threatened. I stepped away and she straightened her clothes before looking at the rest of them. “So who are they.”

“Well, this is Jordyn and her sister Demi,” I began, pointing to them as I said their name. Jordyn waved happily, but Demi was out of it so she just stared. “And that’s Jamison, or James, and TJ.” I continued, pointing to them. They were still making out, so they didn’t notice that Emma was here. “They’re dating.”

“I can tell.” Emma muttered. They pulled away and waved at her.

“Guys, this is my bestest friend ever, Emma. We moved here together.” I announced. Everyone smiled and stared at Emma, who was standing awkwardly.

“Okay guys, into the car.” Emma announced. We all piled into the car, with me in the front and everyone else in the back. Since we were one seat short Jordyn laid herself across the laps of the others. We all babbled on the way home, telling Emma how fun it was and what she missed. We returned home rather quickly, and Emma led us up to our apartment. The first thing she did was get us all water, which James, Jordyn, and I finished quickly. TJ and Demi refused because it made them sick, so Emma just left them alone.

“So Emma, we have friends now!” I squealed happily. Emma smiled and nodded before continuing her conversation with Jordyn, who was slowly coming down from her drunkenness. I sat quietly as everyone talked until James gasped.

“Holy cow you guys have a sex bedroom!” He yelled. TJ went over and looked in it before looking back at me.

“Who did this?” TJ asked. I raised my hand and he gave me a cheeky smile. “Do you think James and I could have this tonight?”

“Since I haven’t gotten to use it yet, no.” I snickered. They both pouted before returning to the living room, where Emma was beginning to set up a nest of blankets and pillows. We all called places and laid down, the alcohol beginning to leave our systems. Demi was the first one out, and we all began dropping like flies. TJ and James fell asleep in each other’s arms, and I fell asleep to the sound of Jordyn and Emma talking.
