Two Vibrant Hearts

Chapter Seventeen

“So what do we want to do today?” I asked, once again in Matt’s house. I began doing sit-ups out of boredom on Matt’s lap, my legs around his waist. People stared at me as I casually continued to lay my upper body down the side of the couch before pulling myself up, jolting Matt with every sit up.
“I don’t know about you, but this is actually pretty interesting to watch,” Zach mumbled, staring intently at me. “Do you have ADHD or something?”
“No. I just do weird things to keep myself entertained half the time,” I answered, not stopping from my sit-ups. I looked back at the ceiling after starting to feel sick from staring sideways as I pulled myself up.
“Honestly I think this is quite entertaining,” Brian interjected, smirking. I sighed, already having a pretty good idea on what he was going to say. Everyone else must have too, because they all started smiling. “It looks kind of like you’re the stripper and Matt’s the pole.”
“If I were a stripper I would do sit-ups on my pole, hands down,” I remarked sarcastically, finally stopping to catch my breath. I looked back at all the guys and Emma, who were all on the floor in the same general area. “So what should we do?”
“I know!” Jimmy began, sitting up in excitement. We all looked at him and he smiled widely, looking proud of himself for his idea. “We should go to the beach.”
“We should.” Emma agreed, nodding. Everyone nodded and agreement rushed over them. I smirked and nodded.
“Yeah, I mean, considering I haven’t been to the beach once since I moved here, we totally should.” I pointed out, slightly grimacing at that fact. In sync, all their heads snapped towards me, looks of shock and disbelief on their faces.
“You haven’t been to the beach in the span of one and a half months?” Johnny asked incredulously. I grimaced a little more and nodded.
“Well, it’s because the first two weeks I was getting settled in, and then the other month I’ve had you guys to keep me entertained. So the beach never really came up until now.” I explained, shrugging. People shook their heads at me and I sighed.
“So are we gonna go?” Brian asked, standing up. “Cuz if we are we should go now.”
“We are gonna go, but I need a swimsuit.” I stated, huffing. I really should have thought to get myself a new swimsuit since I was moving to California from Florida.
“I thought your old swimsuit was still good.” Emma questioned, raising an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and smirked.
“Yeah. If by ‘still being good’ you mean it will fall off my waist every step I take.” I scoffed, cracking my back. Eerily, all the boys got wicked smiles on their faces.
“The swimsuit sounds good to me,” Jimmy snickered. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
“Well, I was going to get a Victoria’s Secret one, but if you really think so…” I began, glancing at Matt. His eyes brightened up and he smiled.
“I think I should go with you, you know, for insight on which swimsuit you get,” Matt said, smirking. I rolled my eyes and chuckled.
“Make sure to send us pictures, Matt.” Zach chuckled, winking at us playfully.
“Sure thing, pal.” Matt replied, laughing.
“Shut up. Was anyone counting how many sit-ups I did?” I asked, looking at them. All of them shook their heads and I looked at Matt.
“72.”
“Okay. We’ll go after I do 100.” I stated, beginning to do sit-ups again. Everyone was once again staring at me, all giving me looks as though I were crazy.
“Well, Matt, atleast you know how rough she is in bed.” Brian mused, winking at him just as I finished. I felt my face go red as everyone laughed loudly at the joke.
“How awkward.” I mumbled quietly, hiding my face in my hands. Matt chuckled quietly and stood up with my legs still wrapped around his waist. He put his hands on my thighs and held me up as he began walking.
“We’ll call you when the shopping’s done. Pack stuff for a barbeque and get your swimsuits. We’ll meet back here when we’re all ready.” Matt commanded. Everyone answered back that they understood, and we were out the door. My face still felt like it was badly sun-burned as Matt walked casually over to my car. He stopped and I looked up. I blinked a couple times and he smiled, entertained. “Neither of us can drive like this.”
“Oh, right.” I whispered, unwrapping my legs from his waist. I hissed in pain as I turned around and he laughed. I leaned down to stretch out my legs, and my butt accidently rubbed against his torso. I shot up and turned around, my face flushing to an ungodly color once again. “Oh my God, I’m so sorry.”
“Hey, I’m not complaining.” He sang, smirking as he walked to the passenger seat. I slid into my car and started it up, trying to get my face to return to its normal color. I looked at Matt as I pulled out of his driveway, and he had put his sunglasses on. I smirked and he returned it. I stared at the road, but continuously glanced at Matt, who was gawking at me from the passenger seat. I put my hand on his leg and rubbed his leg with my thumb. I glimpsed at him and he was smiling softly. “That feels nice.”
“Ah… Do you know where Victoria’s Secret is?” I asked, slightly embarrassed again. He chuckled and nodded.
“I’ll tell you when to get off the highway.” He stated. I nodded and began massaging his leg. He smiled and I kept glancing at him. I got on the highway and tried to watch the road, but I kept looking at Matt. He was just so perfect.
“My God, Matt,” I sneered playfully, looking back at him for the umpteenth time. He looked at me in shock and I held back a smile. “You’re going to kill us.”
“What am I doing?” He asked innocently, making his dimples show. I held myself back from making a noise, which I often did when something was really attractive. And man, was he attractive.
“I can’t keep my hands-and eyes- off of you.” I answered, struggling to keep my eyes on the road. I finally pulled my hand away and tried to focus myself on the busy highway. He laughed and I glanced at him.
“If you really can’t keep yourself off me, just let me drive.” Matt suggested, shrugging. I scoffed.
“Matthew Sanders, you would look so-“ I stopped myself from continuing, sadness slowly running through me. I let out a deep breath and ran a hand through my hair. I looked back at Matt, and he was staring at me, puzzled.
“What were you going to say?” Matt questioned, looking at me with his eyebrows raised.
“Well, I was going to say: Matthew Sanders, you would look so manly with your many tattoos and your badass apparel driving a blurple car.” I started, my voice thick with sarcasm. I sighed and glanced at Matt. He was staring at me, his eyebrows raised. He motioned for me to continue and I let out a breath. “Until I realized that when I was nineteen I traded my beautiful Indigo for this black Porsche.”
“You had a… blurple car?” He questioned, baffled by my sudden melancholy. I nodded and his face was covered even more by confusion. “What is blurple.”
“It’s that color blue that has a purple tint to it.” I explained, smiling at the memory of my old car. “That was my dream car.”
“Then why did you trade it?” Matt inquired, looking slightly irritated at my story.
“Because a black Porsche is my dream car, too. But more expensive.” I sighed. “I also want a black pick-up truck.”
“A black pick-up truck?” Matt repeated. I nodded and smiled.
“I like the feeling of being high off the ground while I’m driving.” Matt nodded and the car became silent. I was still on the highway, and I widened my eyes a little at how far Victoria’s Secret was from Matt’s house. I glanced at the backseats of my car and laughed a little. Matt looked at me and I smirked. “I’m glad the backseat is pretty spacious though.”
“Why’s that?” Matt asked, raising his eyebrow. I smiled wickedly.
“Have you ever had car sex?” I replied, glancing at him. His head shot up a little, taken back by my random question. He composed himself and smirked.
“I can’t say that I have.” He answered. I smiled and looked back at the road.
“Me either. Sounds fun though.” I said, not looking at him. I could see out of the corner of my eye that he smiled mischievously at me and turned forward, facing the dash for once.
“Where have you had sex?” He questioned. My eyes widened, shocked at his question.
“What kind of question is that?” I chuckled, looking at him. He shrugged and I blew a hair away from my face before huffing. “Okay, let’s see. A bed, couch, floor, roof, swim-“
“You’ve had sex on a roof?” Matt yelled. I nodded and he raised his eyebrows in admiration.
“It was on top of a bar." I added, smiling. I shot a look at him before clearing my throat. “And swimming pool. Now you answer.”
“Everywhere besides the roof, and also on a counter and table.” Matt retorted calmly. I nodded and smiled at him.
“Kitchen sex sounds fun.” I stated. He pointed towards an exit and I could see the Victoria's Secret from the highway. It was huge.
“It is.” He replied. I smiled and laughed a little. I pulled into the exit and drove over to the store. I cruised into the parking lot and parked. I was about to get out when Matt grabbed my arm. “Question before we go in.”
“Shoot.” I said calmly. He smiled alluringly at me.
“Does it matter if the car sex is in your car?”
“No, not really.” I answered, raising an eyebrow. He continued to smile. “Why?”
“Because Porsches don’t have a lot of room.” He replied simply, shrugging. He opened his door and stuck his legs out before looking back at me and winking. “But BMWs do.”
