"So where is Johnny?" I asked as I stared at Jimmy. His eyes started twitching and I smiled in triumph; I knew I was about to win. For two straight hours I had been having staring contests with all the guys and I have yet to be beat. Matt couldn't go thirty seconds without blinking, Zach always got distracted, and Brian would always cheat. They all dropped out, so now it was between Jimmy and I. Jimmy was a worthy adversary, but he still lost countless numbers of games. I stared at him with a bored expression and his eyes were beginning to water. He was almost down.
"Just called him," Matt said, walking back into the room. Well, I assumed he was. The rules of the game were you couldn't blink, look away from the opponent, or forcefully make the other blink. The people watching could not distract the players otherwise they'd be hit and the loss wouldn't count. I heard shuffling and then a creak from the leather couch, so I was guessing Matt had just sat down. "He and Emma will be here soon. They just have to get dressed."
"So they were having sex again.” I stated, smirking. I held myself from rolling my eyes and continued to stare at Jimmy. I smiled and his lip quivered.
“He says they were swimming,” Matt replied sarcastically. I let out a laughed and shook my head.
“Swimming my ass.” I laughed. I knew that Jimmy had very few moments left so I smiled kindly before launching myself at him. He screamed loudly and covered his face as I pushed him onto the floor in a surprise attack. He looked up at me in shock and I leaned down and hugged him, finally letting myself blink. “I love you Jimmy!”
“I love you too, Kid.” He cooed, rubbing my back. We sat up and I stayed on his lap.
“So who won?” Zach asked, rubbing his eyes as he laid himself up from his spot on the floor. We both looked at him and smiled.
“I saw him blink first.” I said, smiling widely. He gave me a look and shook his head.
“She attacked me. Doesn’t count.” Jimmy retorted. I giggled and he pinched my cheek. “You are just the cutest thing ever, Kid.”
“I’ve heard that so many times recently you wouldn’t believe,” I chuckled, looking back between all the guys. They laughed and I scanned my eyes across all of them until they landed on Brian. I smirked and slid off Jimmy’s lap and stood up. I turned towards Brian and he narrowed his eyes. “Actually, I haven’t heard Brian say it.”
“You’re going to have to make me, Kid.” Brian challenged, smirking. I raised my eyebrows and walked over to him. I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him close to me. He grinned and rolled his eyes. “So you’re going to seduce me?”
“That’s what girls do to get what they want, isn’t it?” I muttered, playing with the collar of his shirt. I looked back at the other guys and they were all watching in anticipation and entertainment, thankfully including Matt. He nodded to me and I took that as the go-ahead to seduce the words out of Brian. I glanced back at Brian and winked. Brian laughed and stared in expectation. I pushed him against the wall and ran my hands up under his shirt.
“Guys, this is seriously like free porn,” I heard Zach mutter. Jimmy snickered and I smirked. Brian smiled and shivered a little.
“How far am I going to have to go to get you to say it?” I whispered seductively, unbuttoning the top of his shirt. He stifled a laugh and stared at me.
“Depends on how far you’re willing to go.” He answered through his teeth, trying not to laugh. I raised my eyebrows and finished buttoning his shirt. I batted my eyes at him and he chuckled.
“Oh damn, your chest is out.” I said in a mocking voice. He pursed his lips and I could tell he was trying not to say it.
“It doesn’t count if I don’t say it in a loving way, right?” He asked, his voice wavering. I slowly shook my head and gave him a smug look.
“Saying it condescendingly still counts.” I replied, smirking. He rolled his eyes and brushed it off. I huffed a little, thinking of what I could do. I looked down his body until I spotted it. I glanced back at him and smiled wickedly. His eyes widened a little but he immediately tried to hide it. I pushed myself close to him and kissed his chest gently to distract him. He scoffed and began to say something when he stopped and gasped. I heard gasps from behind me and I held back a smile. As I kissed his chest I had slid my hand down his chest to his pants. I played with the button a little before pulling it out of the loop. I looked up at Brian and his face was full of shock and want.
“Okay,” Matt interjected, standing up from the couch. I held back a laugh and continued to stare at Brian as I waited for Matt to continue. “This is fun and all, but Brian is not getting farther than me with Kid. Brian, you know it’s killing you to say it.”
“Fine,” Brian muttered in defeat. He smiled kindly and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a hug. “Kid, you are absolutely adorable.”
“I know.” I chirped in response. Everyone laughed and the front door opened. We all looked to see Johnny and Emma walking in.
“Hey guys,” Johnny greeted happily, squeezing Emma’s hand. “What’d we miss?”
“You just missed the best thing you could ever possibly witness, dude,” Zach answered, smiling. Johnny gave him a look and Zach laughed loudly. “Kid literally almost gave Brian a heart attack.”
“How?” Emma asked, raising her eyebrow at me. I smiled innocently and everyone else laughed.
“She almost took my pants off, that’s how,” Brian responded, pulling away from my embrace to button up his pants. Emma gave me a questioning look, but I just shrugged.
“Johnny, since you’re here, we need you to do something,” Jimmy began, shooting a look at me. I moaned loudly.
“What is it?” Johnny asked, staring at me. I threw my head back in anguish.
“Not again!”
“Kick Jessi’s ass.” Zach stated, staring intently at Johnny.

“Dude! Shoot the guy! No, not that one!” Zach yelled loudly. I sat still as Jimmy, Brian, Zach, and Johnny all played Call of Duty. Matt lounged across his couch and watched them play while Emma sat in front of me, giving me a bored look.
“Jessi, what are you doing? Come up here.” Matt offered, patting the seat next to him. My eyes twitched as I continued to stare at Emma intently. She gave me look, blinking.
“Jessi, I stopped playing half an hour ago, why are you still staring at me?” Emma asked, narrowing her eyes at me. My eye twitched again. Emma was about to touch me when I screamed and jumped onto my feet. Everyone looked at me in shock as my hands shot to my hair in panic. I looked down at Emma and she stared in fear as I bent down and shook her shoulders furiously.
“Four hours! I barely blinked for four hours! What is life?!” I screamed in Emma’s face. She looked like she was about to punch me when strong arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me back.
“Shh, Kid, calm down.” Matt cooed in my ear. I shook uncontrollably and he walked us towards the stairs. “I’m gonna bring Kid to bed before she hurts herself. Feel free to crash wherever, but Johnny I swear to God you have sex anywhere in my house tonight I will personally shove a ten inch dildo up your ass.” I continued to stare forward as Matt led me upstairs, leaving the loud laughter behind us. He steered me towards his room and opened the door. He let go of my shoulders and walked to his closet to grab out pajamas for himself. I threw my shirt off, keeping on my blank tank top, and pulled down my skinny jeans, revealing my pajama shorts I was too lazy to take off this morning as I was getting dressed. I crawled into his bed, fatigue suddenly hitting me. I snuggled under the comforter just as Matt came out in pajama pants. He slid himself onto the bed next to me and brought his hand to my cheek. He pushed my hair away from my face and stared deeply at me. I examined his eyes, the hazel still clearly visible in the darkness of his room. He continued to look into my eyes for what seemed like hours, our faces just inches away.
“You’re doing a good job at not blinking,” I whispered, breaking the silence. He smiled and rubbed my cheek. His smile fell as he slowly leaned in towards me. I closed my eyes and seconds later his lips gently touched mine. My heart went haywire and my breathing became shallow and his lips rested on top of mine. He pushed them a little bit more onto mine and caressed my cheek with his thumb. He kissed me for a few more seconds before pulling away and looking at me. My mouth fell open and he smiled softly. Matt stayed quiet and he pulled himself under the comforter with me and pulled me into a hug. I snuggled close to him, still in shock. Matt freaking Sanders just kissed me.
“Penny for your thoughts?” Matt whispered, barely audible. I let out a breath.
“I think I’m going to explode.” I muttered, literally beginning to feel as though I were about to have a panic attack. He breathed a laugh and pulled away so he could see my face. He traced my jaw with his fingertips gently, smiling at me.
“Is it really that exciting that we kissed?” He asked, his eyes sparkling. I barely nodded and his smile widened. He came closer to me and leaned down to my eye level. He kissed me gently one more time. My heart jolted. He smiled and I tried to smile back.
“I think I’m going to have a heart attack.” I breathed, euphoria rushing over me. He chuckled and pulled me close.
“Go to sleep, Kid. You’re eyes must be worn out.” He whispered, wrapping his arms around me protectively. When I managed to calm down, I snuggled my head into his neck and fell asleep.
