**Brian's POV**

Zacky is supposed to be taking me out on a date today and honestly, it's causing me to walk around grinning like a love-sick puppy all morning.
"What are you all smiles for?" my step mom, Suzy, asks and my smile falters slightly because I'm worried about my dad finding out. Her eyebrows furrow together as she lays a hand on my shoulder, "Brian, is everything ok?" she wonders with genuine concern.
I nod my head and look her into the eyes....I have to tell her because I don't want Zacky to think I'm ashamed of him. "I have a date later" I reply as the smile slowly creeps back onto my face.
"Awe, is it with that DiBenedetto girl?" she asks and I full on frown....fuck Michelle!
"No." I say in a very clipped tone that causes Suzy to flinch. I pinch the bridge of my nose in frustration because I'm taking out my anger with Michelle on the wrong person. "I'm sorry Suzy...Michelle and I- well there is no Michelle and I anymore since she found out.." I choke out and feel a huge lump forming in my throat, "I'm gay" I say just above a whisper and brace myself for her harsh criticism.
"Oh, well...um" she stammer out and my heart sinks. I was a fool to think that my dad and her would be supportive. They are probably going to just tell me that I'm confused, or just going through a faze.
Suddenly, there is a knock at the door and I turn quickly to grab it before Suzy can say another word. When I push the door open I see Zacky standing there and I immediately rush into his arms.
"Get me out of here...please" I beg as he leads me over to his car and tears fall from my eyes..
..I wish I could just run away!
