*Carry On*

**Kaylyn's POV**

Brian and Jimmy walk off towards the camp store and I decide to head back to the bus because nature is calling, and I don't mean the wildlife. I swear that our baby girl spends 90% of her time laying on top of my bladder and the other 10% is spent kicking me in the lower back.

I step on to the bus and chuckle as I see Matt desperately searching for the videos that I know Jimmy stole from him. "Whatcha looking for?" I tease and his head snaps over in my direction.You are so busted Sanders!

He rubs his hand over the back of his neck and tries to come up with a lie but he knows that I'm to smart for that. "Do you know where they are? I'm serious...everyone seems to be getting laid except Johnny and I, and frankly, it's getting pretty frustrating. I should wake up Baker's girl and show her-"

"Your horsecock??" I say with a smirk before stepping closer. "Oh please, Brian has mentioned it on more than one occasion. Although, I think Zacky would pummel you for taking what is his" I tsk and push past him towards the bathroom.

Once I've done my business, I pull the door back open to reveal a very defeated Sanders. "Don't you have any more smoking hot friends that you could hook me up with?" he pleads and I quirk a smile at him. I know plenty of girls who would die to help him ease his sexual frustration.

I open my mouth to tell him that I'll see what I could do when suddenly the bus door flies open and Brian comes barreling onto the bus. I look at my watch and there is no way that he walked all the way down to the store and back by now...not even Jimmy's long legs to get there is under 5 minutes. "I know you call yourself the Lazy German but this breaks my heart. If you didn't want to walk-" I joke but the serious look on his face causes me to stop. "Brian, what's wrong?" I question and he pulls me into his arms. What the heck is going on? Oh please don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't enjoy his body pressed against mine, but this embrace is void of any passion..it almost seems like a condolence hug.

Brian pulls back and stares at me with sad eyes, "Kaylyn, your mom-" Ugh, I so don't want to talk about that woman! She does nothing but snub her nose down at me and frankly, I'm sick of talking about her.

I push Brian away and turn towards the kitchen, "Please don't tell me that you want to have another formal dinner with that bitc-" I huff before Brian spins me around to face him again.

"Kaylyn she's in the hospital.." he says sadly and I roll my eyes. She would say anything to get me to come running home.

"Oh please Brian! That woman would lie and say anything just to get me to leave you! Wait...she called you because I refused to answer the phone?? Wow, that must have hurt her pride" I snip out bitterly, and take a long swig of water.

"Barbara didn't call me.." Brian states and I place the water bottle back down on the counter.If Barbara didn't call him then who- "Iida called me and told me that your mom is in the hospital a-and that she doesn't have long.." he trails off and looks down at his boots.

"Bri, that's not funny...I'm so not laughing" I reply with a shaky voice. What does he mean 'she doesn't have long?'..my mom is one of NYC's cockroaches..she can't die.

Brian pulls me in for a hug, "I'm sorry baby but I'm not joking. Do you want me to fly out with you?" he offers sweetly and I look at Matt who is going over the upcoming tour dates.

"Um, we can push back the Pittsburg show..." Matt states and I wave him off. We still have to do a press release about Brian having a baby, I can't be the reason the band starts canceling shows..the fans will despise me.

I give him a grateful smile but shake my head. "I can just go for a few days to make sure that she's ok and then I can catch up with you guys in Detroit."

"I don't want you flying alone" Brian argues and I motion to my belly as to stay that I'm never alone but he's not amused.

I pout a little but realize that he's right...it's not safe and also, if my mother really is sick. I will need a shoulder to cry on. "Maybe Ashley or Tempe will come with me" I suggest and he noticeably relaxes. "I-I, um, I will go pack" I say and rush off before the tears start falling.

I hope this is my mom's poor attempt at humor and not the end.

**Barbara's POV**

Brain Cancer. I still can't believe I have an inoperable brain tumor that has my chances of survival down to 2%, and to top off that cheery statistic, the doctors are saying I only have days left to live. Days.

I want to scream, I want to argue, I want to tell them that they are incompetent fools who obviously made a mistake, but deep down I know I'm the mistaken fool. This is karma rearing her ugly head at me for all of my wrong doings... Basically telling me that I deserve to die for turning my back on my daughter.

I had tried to call Kaylyn multiple times since I received my diagnosis, but of course, she's ignoring my calls. I eventually had to beg Iida to try and get a hold of her for me. I need to tell her I'm sorry for never supporting her and for being so judgmental of her relationship with Brian. I did some research on him after the blow up at the restaurant, I wanted to prove to her that he was the low life scum that I assumed him to be, but all I realized was that he was immensely successful, talented, and loving and loyal to the people he cares about.

I was so busy trying to compare him to Alex that I never really saw Brian for all that he had to offer. He's handsome, charming and he's even overly polite to people who judge him right to his face. He stood in that restaurant and took every mean and hateful thing that I spit at him, with a gracious smile.

"Mom?" a shaky voice calls from the doorway as I turn to see Kaylyn and Tempest staring at me with sad eyes.

My eyes blink and attempt to focus on the two girls as they make their way closer, when suddenly I notice the slight bump hidden under Kaylyn's shirt. "Oh god, are you having a baby?" I cry and Kaylyn looks down and frowns. Shit, she probably thinks I'm not ecstatic about it! "Kay, that's wonderful! I'm so happy for you and Brian!!" I clarify and both of their jaws drop in shock.

"Do you mean that?" Kaylyn questions and I nod my head as tears spill from my eyes.

"Do you know if it's a boy or a girl yet?" I sniffle out and she chuckles and tells me that they are having a girl. "Did you pick a name yet?" I question and she shakes her head no. "You should make her middle name Marie...it's a tradition in our family. I mean, as long as you and Brian are ok with that" I state and she pulls me into her arms.

I can feel her hot tears hit my shoulder as I gently rub small circles across her back. "Mama Rizzo, are you ok? You look pale all of a sudden" Tempest states and I nod my head as a wave of nausea hits me like a freight train.

I look over at Tempest, "Can you grab me a glass of water?" I ask and she nods her head and retreats out of the room. I pull Kaylyn back and stare into her tear filled eyes. "I'm so sorry for never supporting you but I realize now that my assumptions were wrong. Brian is the perfect guy for you because he doesn't expect you to change. He accepts you for the amazing person that you were born to be, and will even suffer through a dinner with your overbearing, judgmental mother just to keep-"

"Mom stop, I forgive you" Kaylyn sobs and I softly kiss the top of her head before relaxing back against the mattress.

"My only regret now is that I won't get to see my beautiful granddaughter be born" I sigh out as my eyelids begin to droop shut.

"Mom?? Mom?!?!"
