**Kaylyn's POV**

Oh God....Aubrey is even more of a spineless bitch than I thought she would be! No matter how painful it was for me to put that ring back on my finger, it was worth it for the satisfaction of watching her storm away like a toddler on the verge of a temper tantrum.

Brian keeps messing with the ring on my finger and the constant movement feels like a jab to the heart each time it happens. I quickly slip the ring off and shove it back in my pocket...it's funny you know, there was a time when I couldn't wait for someone to notice it, and now all I want to do it chuck it as hard as I can into the ocean. Of course, I won't....I'll hang on to it as a reminder not to let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.

Brian questions me about the ring and I just blow him off with the old, "It's a long story" spiel before quickening my pace in an attempt to run away from this conversation.

"Seems like we both got a few of those" Brian chuckles and hands me a cigarette. Damn, he sure does know how to make me feel better, so I have to give him credit for that.

"Look, I'm not trying to pry into your life and know that you like your privacy, but if you want my help you need to tell me the whole story. If you tell me your story...I'll-I'll tell you mine." I state and he starts pacing but eventually agrees and asks me if he could sleep on it then tell me in the morning. "Deal" I say and he extends a hand towards me and I can't help but smile at him as we shake on it.

A sexy smirk is tugging at his lips as he pull me in for a hug when suddenly, his front door swings open, scaring the shit out of me and causing me to let out a small shriek. I look up to see Zacky's disappointed green eyes staring back at me.

"Ms. Rizzo I need to speak with you....NOW" he says and I slide out from Brian's embrace and make my way towards a very angry Mr. Vengeance. He gently pulls me upstairs and into the guest bedroom before turning back to face me. "You're fired" he states coldly and I open my mouth to protest but he waves me off. "Matt called me and told me that you and Brian hooked up so I quickly drove over here to give him a royal ass chewing, only to find out that YOU STARTED IT!' he growls through gritted teeth.

"So you're not even going to hear me out?!" I huff and shakes his head at me. "Fine, but just so you know....I got Brian to open up-" I say but he interjects rudely.

"Open what... your fucking legs!?! Please do me a favor and spare me the details, thank you!" he says sarcastically and I roll my eyes at him.

"Whatever Mr. Perfect Morals, I guess you can handle things from here. I just hope that it doesn't cost you your friend and bandmate while you try and figure out what I already know" I snarl and head towards the door.

"Listen here, Ms. I Lack Workplace Boundaries-" he shoots back and I'm suddenly seeing red.

"No, you listen! I might have fucked up by sleeping with him but I understand what he's going through! I know what it feels like to picture spending forever with someone, then have them turn around and basically rip your hopes and dreams apart and laugh while doing it! So don't fucking stand there and act like you know that kind of pain!!" I scream and chuck the engagement ring Alex gave me at his chest. "Aubrey was supposed to marry Brian, just like I was supposed to marry Alex, but guess what!?! They both decided that they would run instead of letting us down gently... so excuse me for saying fuck you and your moral righteousness!" I shout and slam the bedroom door behind me.

I run down the step and pick up my luggage from the hallway, where I dropped it before, and rush towards the exit. "Whoa, Kaylyn where are you going??" Brian asks as Zacky reappears downstairs wearing an unreadable expression.

I glare over at Zacky, "Ask him" I say to Brian before turning on my heels and walking out the door....
