Jacky’s POV
I had to figure out a way to get rid of Brian and to not make him notice that I was gone.
The last time was pretty easy, but this time would be a real challenge. He never left me alone and he checked into my room every now and then.
So before I would actually leave, I had to do some preparations.
I walked out of my room and went to the bathroom, I grabbed a towel and walked back to my room, Brian watched me from his position from the couch, not saying anything, just watching.
When I was in my room again, I looked into my wardrobe and though what I would be wearing tonight.
I pulled out one of my new undergarments and then stared at my clothes, dresses, skirts, jeans…
Why did the question pop in my head what Brian would like on me better, skirts, dresses or pants?

I shook my head and pulled a dress out, a black short dress, shoulder free, it would be the perfect idea, since I had to roll it into my towel, so Brian wouldn’t see what I was taking with me to the bathroom, or he would began to question me again, right away.

I rolled up the towel, my dress in it, and laid my shorts and sleeping shirt next to it, if Brian would check on me, he wouldn’t find anything suspicious.
Now, I had to distract him and sway his attention to something else.
I walked out and sat beside him on the couch, as soon as I sat down, he squirmed over to the other side of the couch.
I rolled my eyes and was about to give him a comment about the way he acted, but since I didn’t want to upset him right away, I closed my mouth again.
I looked at the TV and tried to catch up to the movie he was watching.
“What is that?” I asked him and he looked at me from the side.
“96 Hours” He replied shortly and I nodded.
“Is it good?” I asked and pulled my legs up and laid my arms around them, looking on the screen.
Brian didn’t reply and I looked over to him.
“Is it?” He met my eyes and nodded. “Yeah, but you can switch the channel if you want. I have seen it before.”
“Nah, I will go to bed soon. Not feeling too well.” I said and he creased his eyebrows together.
“Why? Are you ill?” He asked and moved a little closer.
“Don’t know.. Just not feeling too well. Got a little headache and my belly hurts. Will be okay. Not that you would worry anyway.” He sighed loudly after my little spike in his directions and closed his eyes.
“Don’t say that. Of course I care.” He said and looked a little sad.
“Yeah, because it’s your job. Oh and thanks for the conversation, these few sentences were the most we have spoken in the past week. I will take a bath now, trying to get rid of the aches in my body… and not the good kind of aches.” Damn I just couldn’t keep my mouth shut, could I?
Brian stared at me for a moment then shook his head a little “Do you need something, should we go to the drugstore?”
I shook my head “No, like I said, will head to bed early, enjoy your movie.”
He opened his mouth to reply, but must have thought otherwise, he closed it again and I moved away.
Went to my bedroom, grabbed the towel with my dress, and my short and shirt, walking past Brian, his eyes glued on me again and closed the door of the bathroom, locking up.
I looked at my phone, it was 8:20, I had not much time, I would take a quick shower, while I let the water run into the bathtub.
I was done with my shower, let the water still run, so Brian would think I wasn’t done in a looong ass time. I pulled my dress on and styled my hair, made my make-up and pulled my phone out.
I needed someone to pick me up, or I would never make it to the club in time, or Brian would catch me before I even arrived.
I dialed another friend of mine and waited for him to pick up “Jacky, what’s up? Liza told me already you were up to party tonight?” Jeff asked and I smiled, happy that Liza made true to her words and called all our friends.
“Yeah, listen… are you on your way already… I need someone to pick me up.” I whispered.
“Well, sure. I’m on my way, driving past you anyway. Will be there in 5, should I wait outside or go in?” Jeff asked and I nearly panicked.
“No, you need to drive down the street, I will meet you there. Need to get rid of my shadow, you know… Will explain everything later on.”
“Don’t worry, cutie. Will be there waiting for you.” Jeff said and I sighed.
“Thanks dear, meet you in a few.” I said and hung up.
The bathtub was nearly full so, I shut of the water and yelled for Brian a final time.
“Brian??”
“Yeah?” I heard his footsteps nearing the door.
“I’m gonna listen to some music, just wanted to let you know, alright.”
“Yeah, sure. Are you okay?” Brian sounded a concerned and I might have felt a small sting of guilt but then I thought about his stupid behavior towards me again and the guilt vanished.
He thought I was a whore and fucking around, well… let him have a shock of his life, when I actual vanished and had some fun this night.
“Yeah, just need a long bath to relax, don’t worry.” I replied and he must be still standing at the door, but didn’t say anything, I waited some more but nothing came and when I heard his footsteps disappearing again, I put my phone in the little closet next to the radio, turned on the music and opened the window of my bathroom. I had decided to leave my phone in the bathroom, I was sure Brian would be able to track me in a split second, so no phone for me tonight. I checked my image in the mirror one last time, nodded satisfied and grabbed my bag, threw my high heels out the window and climbed out myself.
I sighed in relief, when I put my shoes on and walked down the street, Jeff’s car pulled up next to me and I grinned.
I had at least one hour ahead of Brian, and he would never find out where I actually was, this would be my night…

Brian’s POV
I sat on the couch watching the movie but couldn’t really concentrate. Hearing the music from the bathroom and knowing Jacky was in the tub, naked… her body being caressed by the hot water, and bubbled making her cheeks red and she would be lying there completely exposed to my view.
I swallowed thickly, what would happen if I would just walk over there, open the damn door and have a look.
I mean, god this past week was a living hell for me. Whenever I felt the need to just walk into her room and grab her and push her against the wall to kiss those luscious lips, I had called Zack.
Since he already knew my situation, it was easy to ask him, so when I needed a distraction for not making the same mistake twice... well or more often, I called him.
He still thought it was funny and made some jokes on my behalf but brought me back to my senses, telling me what Matt would do to me when I laid my hands on Jacky again.
So I kept my distance, tried not to interact to her too much, which worked out in the beginning, but I realized she shut herself into her room, again and again, not letting me really know what she is doing.
I kept a close eye on her after sneaking out, I wouldn’t give her another chance of sneaking away.
Mostly she had worked on her laptop, typing, but whenever I came near she turned her laptop around or closed it, so I didn’t know what she was doing.
She didn’t ask to go out or shopping again or anything else for that matter. She made me feel guilty that I didn’t really talk to her this evening but now I guess she lost the interest in messing around with me… finally.
Which should make me happy… and relieved but somehow, another feeling wanted to make its appearance and it wasn’t one I wanted to admit.

I pulled my phone out and looked at the time, trying to distract me again and frowned, Jacky had been in the bath pretty long.
Maybe I should check on her… not in trying to get a look on her nakedness maybe she really wasn’t feeling too well and I had to help her… out of the tub… the water running down her body, helping her get dry… and oh god damn it, Brian get a grip!
I walked towards the door and knocked, the music was loud but I tried to listen for any other sound.
Nothing…
I knocked again “Jacky? Are you okay?”
Nothing…
“JACKY? Are you okay? If you don’t answer me I’m coming inside!”
Still no answer, I walked back to the living room and my heartbeat was crazy, what if something happened to her, she slipped and hid her head, lying there and I didn’t notice…
Shit!
I got some equipment and walked back to the door, with an easy move I opened the closed door. “Jacky?! I’m coming inside now” I walked in and looked around near panic.
The bathroom was empty, the water already cold… and the window… OH NO!
“She freaking climbed out of the window?” I closed it and looked outside, she had the apartment downstairs, it was just a small jump for her, and she must have taken that chance. FUCK FUCK FUCK! I grabbed my phone calling Matt, he made it clear, calling him the instant if something like this happened again…

Matt’s POV
“Arin, could you please come in for a second? I need an update” I heard Arin’s voice through the intercom, answering me he would be right there. It had been weirdly quiet the past week and I was hoping that meant that everyone got used to each other and everything was getting back to being just a job, but in all my years doing this job, I learned that there was always something going on beneath the surface.

Arin came walking in, holding his Ipad to have access to all the information I would want right away.
“Status report on Brian and Zack, please?” I asked as he sat down opposite of me.
“Everything seems quiet for both of them, Zack and Joe didn’t get into any new fights, they have reached an agreement on how Zack does his job and she seems okay with it. I’m still working on putting a trace on her phone, but it’s almost impossible, seeing she is only using her business phone and the company security is crazy, but I will get there.”
“What about Brian?”
“Brian is keeping a close eye on Jacky, he has put some tracking device in business, her phone, the car, that kind of stuff. He also requested a background check on some guy named Dean, seems like one of Jacky’s closest friends. I found some info, but nothing life changing, still have to update Brian about it”
Arin handed me the Ipad, showing me the information he found, when the office phone rang and Arin picked up.
“Brian, I was just about to… Okay, one moment…. Matt, Brian, line 1”
I pushed the button on my desk phone and Brian’s voice sounded through the speaker, rushed. “Matt, it’s Brian… we have a huge problem.” He said the moment I picked up.“What happened?” I had a bad feeling about this and I knew my voice sounded impatient and to the point.Brian swallowed loudly and then finally spoke up “She is gone… again.”“WHAT? GONE WHERE?!” I yelled. How the fuck did one of my best men lose his subject… twice!“Don’t know, she took a bath, then sneaked out of the window, I just noticed…”
Brian took a breath and wanted to continue, but my cell phone started blasting too

“Zack calling”

I picked up with an annoyed voice “Zack, I need to call you back we have kind of a crisis here”
The moment I wanted to hang up I heard Zack’s voice
“Well, I have another one for you. I’m in Vancouver, and Josephine is not”
