Zack’s POV
Josephine was driving me insane, after the fucked up business dinner we had, which she blamed me for it going down the drain, we didn’t talk much.
As if it was my fault she didn’t have any social skills…
Didn’t she see that even businessmen wanted some kind of normal conversation during finishing a deal?
In what world was she living, this was completely insane.
I was still pissed that she wanted to talk “to my boss about my behavior” she was acting like I was a child, she had to sell out on his father for misbehavior.
And Matt, what was he doing?
Nothing, he talked to her and then send her own her way again, he waved me into his office.
“What happened?” Matt looked at me from behind his desk.
“I don’t know what she told you, but I didn’t do anything to ruin her business. This woman has no social skills, she sees only business, nothing else. It’s her own fault if she can’t handle a meeting with-”
Matt interrupted me “I don’t wanna hear it, Zack.”
“But she-” I started again, Matt shaking his head.
“Don’t. I got it during my short talk with her, she is a handful… and she is not easy, I will think about the situation. I am waiting for Brian’s report on the Jacky side and will come back to you shortly.” With that Matt had dismissed me and send me back on my way with Josephine, she acted even more pissed then after the dinner.
I didn’t know what Matt said to her but my mood wasn’t any better than hers. Never had any client acted the way she did.

When we had arrived at her home, she went straight to her bedroom an didn’t talk to me again, which I was glad for.
I was playing with the thought of calling Brian, to see how he was holding up, his task sounded a lot better than mine. Why didn’t I question the whole Jacky and Josephine paring with Brian and me from the beginning?
I should have known, that I would be better off with the outgoing one. Brian could have tried professional…
I chuckled at the thought, I guess this woman would be driving all of us crazy, not only me or Brian.
I had gone to bed in hopes the next morning would start better.

And believe it or not it did, when I was awake, no sign of Josephine, no argument right after waking up. No – “I’m calling your boss” Threat right after getting up. “Calling my boss, my ass.” I muttered under my breath while taking a sip of my coffee.
My phone rang and I looked at it, shit did he hear that? Am I being watched… I looked around with a frown and picked up.
“Hey Matt, what up?” I asked right away.
“Morning, I thought about everything. Since Josephine isn’t satisfied with your work, and don’t get this wrong, because I don’t think you fucked anything up but, I will exchange you with Brian.” Matt said and I frowned a little, there was only one way to understand this.
“You want me off Josephine’s case and onto Jacky? Did I get this right?” I asked, and couldn’t help the smile forming on my lips, hells yeah that’s what I want.
“Yes, we will try this for a day first and if this will be fine by both girls, it will be permanent, I have to see that both girls are taken care of without getting any of them into too much trouble.” Matt sighed loudly as if the weight on his shoulder would weigh too much too bear.
“No problem from my side, I am gladly exchanging my place. Should I pack up right away?” I asked him grinning and Matt chuckled.
“You sound pretty eager, I said it’s just for a day. I will call Brian right after our talk, he still didn’t call me back. Maybe he was having some troubles as well…” Matt mused and I didn’t reply, would be better to keep my big mouth shut for now.
“Well, where do we meet and make the exchange?” I asked and tried to get Matt to other thoughts, I knew Brian was struggling with Jacky, but for completely different reasons. She was hot and wanted fun, and Brian had to deny the fun… Brian wasn’t really good at denying pretty girls fun and Jacky was definitely a hot piece of ass.. ahh fun.
“Right, we have to figure out a place for you to exchange, we can’t leave them alone, so the best place for you to meet would be at Josephine’s office at 11?” Matt suggested and I agreed.
“Perfect, I will tell lil miss princess, what’s going on and you will inform Brian, we talk later.” With that I hung up before even hearing his answer.
This shall be fun…
I walked to Josephine’s door and knocked, I heard some movements inside and knew she was awake, probably already picking out her business outfit for the day.
“What?” I heard her and opened the door slowly and found Josephine in the middle of the room, not ready to get dressed, but still in sleeping clothes.. what was going on? I let my eyes wander around the room and her bed was not made yet, her sheets dishevelled, something was going on.
“Hey, I just got a call from my boss. After your appearance there yesterday he thought it would be better if we exchange bodyguards. So you will get someone new as your new protector.” I told her and she widened her eyes.
“What? Why?” She looked a little shocked and I frowned.
“You wanted me to be gone, I will be gone, for a day at least… maybe longer if it works out.” I told her and she shook her head.
“NO, I wanted you to go, not to be replaced.” She began to pace the room, and looked at me, “You have to tell him no.”
“What? No. We will do this, the meeting is at 11 at your office.” I said and shut the door.
What in heaven was wrong with that woman, you could never make it right for her. Let Brian deal with that!

Brian’s POV
There were too many things happening at the same time, I woke up by the sound of my phone. Being in this business made you stand on high alert when the thing rang. I might have heard it somewhere last night too, but I was too fucking busy then… Or better said too busy fucking…. Shit… I shouldn’t have done that… The phone stopped and immediately started again and I quickly moved my body off of Jacky’s. Goddamnit Brian, what the hell are you doing?!

“FUCK! SHIT! Where is that damn Phone?” I rushed out of the room, continuing to look for my phone. It stopped and started again… shit… I found my boxers next to the couch, quickly putting them on, the phone kept ringing… shit, shit, shit…. Matt will be so pissed when I finally pick up. I found my phone next to my pants and quickly answered.
“Matt? Sorry, I was just in the shower” I rushed out an excuse before he would go all out.
“Shower? Alright” He didn’t sound to convinced, but that might be my bad conscience talking. “Where is my update Gates? I asked you already on your voicemail last night” I walked over to the bedroom, closing the door quietly, making sure Matt wouldn’t hear what I was doing. I would be so fucked if he would find out.

I sat down on the couch, letting my hand go through my hair, trying to regain my thoughts.
“Earth to Gates, I need an update. These two seem to be a handful, how are things going at your end?”
“Pretty well actually, she is just a little spoiled and she doesn’t have a lot to do in her life, so that is quite easy really. Only problem is her going out, I went with her the day before yesterday and that is just one big security hazard. I told her it might be better for now to not do that again.”
Matt hummed and he seemed to be thinking about what I said.
“Little party girl huh? You taking care of not getting caught into the whole clubbing thing? What you do when you are around your friends is none of my business, but you are on a job now”
I chuckled lightly “The hell, none of your business, you are one of my friends, when I’m clubbing you are with me, you are getting drunk with me, you are one of my best wingmen for fuck sake, so don’t tell me that my own time is none of your business”
Matt laughed “Touché” I finally breathed a little, thinking I was out of the woods for now
“Just keep your head in the game, Brian, this is important to me, those girls need to be safe okay? I’m glad Jacky is controllable, that is part of the reason I called. I need you to exchange for at least a day with Zack”
“WHAT?!”
“You heard me. Zack was at HQ yesterday night, with Josephine, she is not satisfied in how he is around her business partners, she was going on over her losing a deal with an important business partner, because of Zack. I need to keep her in line or she will give trouble and trouble means danger for her, so, I need you to exchange with Zack. At first for one day, and if that works out better, I might make the change permanent.”

The words Matt said were coming into my ear and my brain registered them, but that was all that could be said, my brain didn’t process. It went into complete panic. I couldn’t let Zack take over Jacky, that would be so inconvenient, I just got used to her, and more importantly, she just got used to me. And even more importantly, if Zack would get in here and talk with her for only 5 minutes, he would know what happened. Matt would find out within no time… not from Zack, no not from him, we did more that Matt never even got to know off, but Jacky would be only a phone call away of telling Matt about last night’s events. I needed to be around her constantly, just to be sure she wouldn’t tell Matt, he would crush my balls to pulp.
And even though my motives were pure of course, I couldn’t let Zack be around her…. What if she would give him the same treatment she gave me?

“Brian? I asked you something?”
“Sorry, not fully awake yet, what?”
“I said you have to take Jacky to Josephine’s office at 11 so you and Zack can change positions, that way none of the girls is even alone for a second”
“No. I won’t do it. Matt, she just got used to me, it would be stupid to let her out of that comfort zone again. She just got suspicious about her dad leaving so quick, I don’t think it is the best thing to do”
The moment Matt started to speak, I knew I made a terrible mistake questioning his decision.
“Listen to me Brian, you are going to do as I tell you”
“But…”
“I don’t care what you want, I say you exchange with Zack, so you will. I want you at Josephine’s office at 11, I’ll text you the address”

With that Matt ended the call, leaving me speechless. Matt rarely let his authority speak, he was a natural leader, but our business was pretty much a democracy. This was important to him and I understood, but I really, really, really didn’t want to change places with Zack. It would mean I needed to confess up to what I have done, at least to Zack, so he could keep everything in line to not come out to Matt.
But the worst of all, I needed to talk to Jacky, I needed to tell her that last night would never ever happen again, even if the tension would be unbearable, this could never happen again. Better do it immediately.

I got off the couch, grabbed my shirt, put it on and dragged myself over to the bedroom, opening the door. Jacky was awake and looked at me.
“Oh good, you’re awake. We need to talk”
