Say You'll Haunt Me *ON HOLD*

When You Smile, I Melt Inside

Tash’s POV

Managing a band was pretty stressful at times and sometimes I hated it but it was rewarding when I got to see the crowd’s faces when we performed. I was pretty disappointed that I wasn’t able to play tonight but I knew that there were things that needed to be done. I was trying to organise studio time so we could start recording our debut album. We didn’t have many songs to perform on stage, probably enough to fill our half hour set time, that was it. It wasn’t enough but we knew that. I knew that Emilia and Zara would come up with more songs to perform and shit while on tour, which would be exciting. I loved it when they show us new material.

I let out a groan as I went through the paperwork in front of me. I had been staring at the same sheet of paper for the last 15 minutes and it was driving me insane. “Hey, c’mon, let’s go get something to eat,” Dan said, standing up from the table and stretching.

“I-I can’t Dan. I have too much to do.”

Dan chuckled and grabbed the papers from my hands. “No Tash, let’s go.”

I let out sigh and stood up, grabbing my jacket off the chair I was sitting on and followed Dan out of the room. He whistled for a taxi and we climbed in and left the venue.

“So…,” I trailed off, stabbing at my food.

“So…,” Dan copied, smirking.

Obviously, he liked seeing me squirm in awkwardness. I playfully glared at him. “Don’t copy me.”

Dan chuckled and took a swig of his beer. “20 Questions?” He asked.

I snorted. “What are we? 12?”

He shook his head. “No, but it’s a good way to get to know each other, right?”

Cocking my head to the side, I studied him for a moment before nodding. “I guess you’re right. What do you want to know?” I asked.

“3 turns on?”

“That’s easy. Muscles, tattoos and a nice smile. Your turn. 3 turn off?”

“Stress, drugs and negativity. I hate it when a girl stresses over small stuff and I’m not a fan of girls who do drugs or focus on the negative things in life.”

“Seems like we’re similar in that department.”

“Seems like it.”

“Single or taken?” I asked, with a smug smile.

“Single, you?”

“Good to know. Single too.”

Dan smiled, moving his chair closer to mine. “You’re cute,” he muttered.

“You’re not so bad looking yourself,” I whispered, staring into his eyes.

“Excuse me, I’m so sorry but are you Dan The Body?” A small voice asked.

I cleared my throat and moved away from Dan, smiling at the teen that had interrupted. “Why yes, I am. What can I do for you?”

“I-I was wondering if I could get a picture with you?” She asked, looking guilty.

Dan smiled at her awkwardness and nodded his head. “Sure,” he replied, standing up and wrapping an arm around her shoulders. She shakenly took her phone out of her pocket and held it up in the air, awkwardly smiling as she tried to take a picture. It turned out blurry and she looked sad. I smiled at her and stood up, touching her shoulder. “Would you like me to take it for you?”

“Would you mind?” She asked.

I shook my head and took the phone from her hands. Dan wrapped her up in his arms, making her smile and feel at ease. I snapped a few photos before passing her phone back to her. She smiled brightly. “Thank you so much,” she muttered, before turning on her heel and walking away.

I giggled and looked over at Dan. He was staring right at me with a smile. “What are you giggling about?” He asked.

“Just you. You know Avenged Sevenfold’s famous when even your roadies have fans.”

Dan chuckled and shook his head, grabbing his wallet and throwing a few bills on the table before holding his hand out. “C’mon, let’s get out of here.”

I nodded and grabbed his hand, letting him lead me out of the restaurant.

“Thank you, Dan,”
I spoke, breaking the silence as we stopped in front of Black Widow’s tour bus.

“It was my pleasure. I hope we can do it again soon.”

I smiled and nodded. “Yeah, I hope so too.”

Silence fell between us once more and suddenly I felt awkward. “Well…I-I’m gonna go,” I muttered, adjusting the strap on my handbag. “Goodnight Dan.”

Dan grabbed my arm, making me stop in my tracks and look back at him. He leant forward and pressed a sweet kiss to my cheek. “Goodnight Tash,” he whispered, turning on his heel and walking over to A7x’s bus.

Notes

Chapter Title Credit: First Date - Blink 182

See, wasn't it good, I gave you a heads up in the last chapter to not get too excited about this one. It's just a filler but it did have a cute little moment between Tash and Dan...but hey Dan's finally in the story.

Leave some love x
