Summary
"Watch your tongue or have it cut from your head..."
For the first time since the Great War, everything in the Baker Kingdom is at peace. The fighting has finished and the conquered people have been put to work in the kingdom. King Zachary Baker and his wife Stefani have recently welcomed their newborn son into their lives, and the entire kingdom is sure this will usher in a time of peace. But when the body of a strange girl is found at the edge of the woods, suspicions arise in the subjects. Is the great King hiding something from his people?

Trinity is a young woman who was snatched from the rubble of her home and taken to the Baker Kingdom, where she is forced to serve Queen Stefani. Soon after her arrival, she begins to notice strange things about King Zachary and his wife. When a strange girl's body is discovered in the woods, Trinity is almost sure the great king has something to do with it. Proving it, however, will be much more difficult than she originally thought. And the secrets she uncovers may be more than Trinity could ever have expected.
