Shattered By Broken Dreams

**Zacky's POV**
I rush over to the hospital as soon as the plane lands...I'm so annoyed with my parents that they are acting like they are ashamed that Chrissie is their daughter just because she's made a few mistakes...nobody is perfect, but I guess they expect her to be.

I walk towards the receptionist and she tells me what room my sister is in and I give her a grateful nod. As I approach Chrissie's room I see my parents standing in the hallway...I seriously can't believe they won't even go in an comfort her...they're fucking unbelievable!

"Oh Zachary!" my mom cries and tries to hug me but I step out of the way and give her a cold glare. She scoffs, "Quit it, we didn't put her in the hospital...she did this to herself you know!" she snips and my boil starts to boil again.

"You sound like you don't even love her!! She's your daughter, and my sister, and you have the nerve to look your nose down on her and say she deserves it because she did this to herself?!" I shout and they just stare back at me with blank expressions. "Just go....I'll take care of her from here on out. I would want you to have the BURDEN of caring for her any longer!" I seethe and they don't even have the decency to argue that I'm out of line....they actually just turn and leave.

I slip inside Chrissie's room and see her peacefully sleeping with her wrists bandaged and restrained to the bed...my heart breaks at the sight. Sure, my sister did this to herself but only because she thinks she has nothing left to live for...I need to show her that she does.

I grab a chair and pull it up next to her bed before gasping onto her hand, for comfort and support, and allowing my eyes to slip closed. I'm not sure how long I've been out, but I can feel Chrissie let out a quiet sob and I stir awake.

"Hey sis" I say softly but she looks like a mix of terrified and ashamed and doesn't respond. I let out a small sigh, "Mom called and told me what happen.." I say and watch the tears fall down her cheeks.

"You hate me now too don't you?" she asks and I feel the tears pool up in my eyes...does she really believe that we all hate her?

I tilt her chin to face me, "No Chrissie....I could never hate you...I love you too much" I answer truthfully and she tries to hug me but the restraints stop her. I stand up and run out to the nurse's station and demand to have the restraints removed.

"I'm sorry sir, her parents were clear that she couldn't be trusted" the nurse apologies to me.

"Please, I'm her brother....I will take responsibility for her" I beg and I can see her pondering her options, "Come on, I'll sign a waiver...a release form...anything....please....I just want her to be able to hug me!" I cry and she nods her head and walks in to remove Chrissie's restraints.

I throw my arms around her and she stiffens slightly at first but eventually hugs me back. "Thank you" she mutters out and I kiss her on the forehead.

"Don't thank me yet" I say and hear her swallow harshly "I can stay a few days but I can't stay longer than that until we finish the tour. I either need to take you back to mom and dad's house or I'm forcing you to come out on tour with me" I say and see her frown "I'm sorry Chrissie, but after what happened and the way our parents are handling everything, I'm really only left with one choice..

...you're coming on tour with me!"
