Chapter 4
Erin’s P.O.V
After the whole thing with Jake I literally just needed a moment alone to calm down so I went out to the backyard and sat down on the swing and just cried for a minute… I knew that things were going so great with the plan and everything but at the same time I was praying that Papa Gates wasn’t going to come after me too soon. There was so much that I wanted to do before Colby comes into the world. Zack and Izzy both walked outside and smiled at me.
“You really need to lower your stress level Erin. It hasn’t even been a day and you are already back to the drastic side” Zack said and I just scoffed at him and Izzy shot him an evil glare.
“Zack; Jake just showed up to say that Papa Gates knows that she came back and you think
the proper god damn response is to tell her that she is back to the drastic side! She doesn’t need another person against her you dumbass” She said and swatted him on the back of the head making him wince and I just started cracking up.
“I am not on the drastic side again Zachary James… I am fucking pregnant and my hormones are at an all-time high. All I think about is the safety of my child” I said getting angry again and I could feel Colby kicking a little much so I just sat there silently along with Iz and Zack.
“Alright sweetie I am sorry; just breathe and we will get through this together” He said but I didn’t feel any better because honestly I was worried about getting through this pregnancy because Colby… was an angel and a vampire and he is getting bigger and bigger and since he is special and I am human I stood the risk of dying again…
“I am afraid though..” I said and they both came down and comforted me.
“Why though love? We are here for you! Papa Gates doesn’t stand a chance and you will soon hold your baby boy. Nothing can go wrong” Izzy said but she had no idea what obstacle I faced.
“But you don’t understand Iz… When I was dead and with my father… my name came up on his list because if I don’t get my powers back I won’t live long enough to even hold my son… he is vampire and angel and could literally kill me during birth” I said and Zack backed up trying to steady himself because I knew that he was worried about losing me. He had buried me twice and lived through many of my deaths but to see my die while Colby is born. That would rip him to pieces.
“Oh god Erin I had no idea…. WAIT! I think I may know someone who could help us” Izzy said and I was a little confused and she raised her eyebrows and I thought back for a minute and remembered who she was talking about.
“Are you talking about Ellie?” I asked and she nodded and I knew that she was great for thinking that. Ellis aka Ellie Roberston was our closest friend and she was also an expert in the medical area and in the magical area. She has helped us out in the hardest of times and I knew that she would also get along with all of the guys. Even though I was still worried I knew that this was the right thing to do.
“What who is Ellie?” Zack asked and we both just broke from our thoughts and giggled because
we realized that we were forgetting that he was in the conversation.
“Ellis or Ellie as we call her is our bestfriend… we always consider her our sister because she has helped us out in the toughest of times. She spent quite a few years on earth working in the medical field but she is an expert in helping on the magic side. Believe me she is the best hope of me getting my powers back without hurting our son” I said and just then Izzy nudged me and smiled. I looked at her confused at what she wanted from me.
“What?” I asked and she laughed.
“Tell him!” She said reminding me about telling Zack my idea for the name of our son.
“Oh yeah; before Jake interrupted I wanted to tell you that in the five months of being gone I thought of names for our little boy” I said and he seemed really excited.
“Now if you don’t like it I understand… but I was thinking Colby James Baker or as I called in while I was away Little Colby V“ I said and his eyebrows shot up… he didn’t look upset but I also couldn’t get a read on what he was actually feeling.
“I fucking love it… I think that it is cute yet badass! It is settled! In 3 months we will welcome our song Colby James Baker into the world!” He said happily and I shot up and kissed him roughly… Damn these hormones though… literally I was so fucking horny it wasn’t even funny. I sat there making out with him and after a few minutes Izzy walked inside.
“Alright well whenever you are done with your man just come and find me and we will get Ellie down here” She said giggling and walked back into the house. I sat there for a few moments just making out with him and I kept grinding up against him and after a moment he pushed me gently up against the tree and cupped my cheek tightly.
“It is so hard not to fuck you here and now” He said and every word made me wetter and wetter but I knew that Colby was in there so for now making out was the best that I could get. I kissed him again and then pulled back.
“Hopefully you are going to be able to wait a few months… then it is sooo on” I said winking at him and walking back inside. I walked in and Arin had come in with pizza and so I went into the kitchen and grabbed a plate but before I could walk out with it Zack grabbed it and grabbed me some pizza.
“Izzy don’t you worry I got a veggie pizza for you! I didn’t forget that you don’t eat meat!” Arin called out over the ruckus that all the guys were making. I motioned for Izzy to come eat upstairs with me. Zack handed me the pizza as I grabbed something to drink.
“Where are you going?” Zack asked me.
“I am going upstairs with Iz to do something” I said.
“I grabbed you three pieces of pizza… if you get hungry please be sure to come down and get some more. I need you and Colby healthy!” He said speaking like a true husband and father. I kissed him and Izzy and I walked upstairs happily. After a bunch of laughter and the mass amount of pizza that we had it was time to summon Ellie. I was excited but I was nervous because it was always hard to summon her… and it took a lot of blood from the both of us since the three of us made a blood pact a long time ago.
“I always hated doing this” I said and she seemed the same way about it. You see the one thing about Ellie is that she had to be summoned this certain way because she was all over the place all the time. Izzy pulled out the copper bowl and I stared at it and it brought me back to heaven and being with the girls and with my mom. Ellie was one of the most gorgeous girls ever which is why everyone always thought she was perfect with Izzy and I; she had the most gorgeous chocolate brown eyes and a light ginger colored hair and between Izzy and I she was the only one who has never changed her hair because that is what made her… well her! I couldn’t wait to see her. Izzy and I locked our hands together and thought of her… we only concentrated on her.
“Ellie Roberston…. Sister and friend we summon you for the sake of Erin’s health… for the sake of our family… for the sake of our lives… please Ellie if you can hear us come to us” We said together and we took a small pocket knife and cut into our hands letting the blood fall into the copper bowl and we linked the other hand together again still focusing on Ellie. I prayed that she heard the call. After about five minutes Izzy’s wound had healed and I wrapped mine up.
“Alright after we clean that out I need you to go downstairs and grab Brian for me” I said holding the cloth tightly on my hand. After a few moments Brian came upstairs smiling and then looked at my hand and then up at me.
“What the hell happened?” He asked and I sighed and shot him a mean look.
“I had to do something that required my blood. I need you to help me heal because I am human.. don’t tell Zack about this” I said and he seemed hesitant to do this.
“Erin I don’t think that you should be hiding stuff in your state of being right now” He said and I gave in.
“Fine if I tell you then you have to help me and keep quiet about it okay?” I asked and he nodded.
“Izzy and I had to summon my friend Ellie… she may be my only hope in getting my powers back without having to shove a dagger into my body again… she can help me with the baby as well because she is trained in the medical and magical area… Please Brian I am begging you don’t tell Zack that I had to do that to get her here” I pleaded and he just sighed.
“Ok ok Erin please just don’t get upset” He said and cut his wrist and gave his arm to me and I of course took it down for the sake of Colby. After a few moment the cut disappeared and I felt better already. And just then I heard a huge boom and the house shook making me fly backwards making Syn jump to catch me. After it ended I looked up and there stood Ellie in all her glory.
“Nice entrance like usual Ellie… but next time… be careful of the house and well me” I said while Brian pushed me up.
Ellie was here…
