After All That We've Been Through

Ryn's POV

I put my hands on my forehead as I lean on the tall counter, staring down the bailiff. "What do you mean you can't release Caleb Parker? I just paid the bail the lawyer said he would need," I said, trying to control my rising temper. I had been standing at this desk for over an hour now and if I wouldn't get arrested, I'd go get Caleb myself. I was finding it really hard to stay profession when I want strangle each and ever person involved in this situation.

"I'm sorry ma'am, it's our policy that prisoners brought in with multiple charges need to stay over night. Since you paid bail, he will be free to go at 9 a.m." The man yawned and then picked up his cup of coffee. Sure flaunt the fact that you have coffee in my face to, asshole. It's not like it's 2 a.m. and I've been up since six playing babysitter to the man children of Fatal Facade.

I laughed and stood up to my full height, my hands flying as I speak. "Sir, you don't understand. He is not a regular prisoner. You are holding Axel Fire of the band Fatal Facade and we have to get back on the road for tour int three hours. We will miss our show if we have to wait until nine!" Okay, so we didn't have a show for two more days, but the bailiff didn't need to know that.

The bailiff gave me an amused chuckle and leaned back in his chair with the news paper. "Please...I've heard that excuse a million times. Plus, it doesn't really mater who is in there, they are not above the law."
"I wasn't saying that at all, Sir," I sighed. "Is there someone I can talk to about maybe paying a higher bail to get him out sooner? You can't ruin the show for the fans." I give him a pleading look but runs his tongue over his dry cracking lips and shakes his head. "See you at nine, sweetheart."

Urgh, why did this man man have to be so thick headed? I guess we could go get Marley first, though he needed to be under observation for 24 hrs. This day had gone from bad to worse and all I wanted to do was cuddle up with Zacky and fall asleep.

As I walk towards the exit, my phone started buzzing wildly in my pocket. I'm not quite prepared for what I see next.

"What the hell?" I say as I pull up my email and see that I have multiple press notifications with Kady's name tagged in them. I click on the first one and my jaw drops. There in front of me is a picture of Brian and Kady standing awfully close outside of the police station in an intimate moment. The headline reads: Rock'n'Roll Lovers Bailed Out.

"What?" I raged, scrolling down to read the story. "No. No. NO!"

Suspected Rock'n Roll sweethearts, Avenged Sevenfold's Synyster Gates and Fatal Facade's Violet Rouge were spotted this evening outside of the Knox County Jail in an intimate embrace. It is suspected that Gates bailed out his new girlfriend after being arrested earlier in the evening for a DUI and Grand Theft Auto after sending band mate and Fatal Facade drummer Marley Steal to the hospital. Rouge apparently crashed the stolen vehicle and police were called to the seen off of the through way in Knox County. The status of Steals condition is unknown at this time.

"Fuck!" I yelled as soon as I was outside, opening all the emails to see similar stories. How could they have mixed up Caleb and Kady in this huge disaster. Whatever the two idiots were doing outside of the car when this picture was taken was digging them an even deeper grave. This wasn't going to be an easy or clean situation to get out of.

I looked out toward the parked town car to see a few people standing around the car banging on the windows and taking pictures. Damn it, this is exactly what I wanted to avoid!

"Excuse me! Please step away from the vehicle or we will press charges for harassment,"I said while squeezing past a rather large man into the car. I quickly climbed in and yelled for the driver to take us to the hospital.

"Where is Caleb?" Kady asked, looking up from Brian's shoulder. I can't help but notice their interlocked fingers and the running mascara on her face.

"They won't release him until nine and what the hell is this?" I hissed, passing my phone to Brian.

"Oh fuck!" He raged, his eyes scanning through the article. "How did they come up with that? It's not true at all!"

"Come up with what?" Kady looked between me and Brian with a terrified look on her face before pulling the phone out of Brian's hands.

"What the hell were you thinking doing something like that out in the open?" I raged, my eyes meeting Zacky's for a moment. He looked stressed and tired and I hated that he was in the middle of all this. Why couldn't we be back I his bed? Oh how I longed for those snake bites to be on my skin again...but I couldn't think about that now.

"How can they get away with something like this?!" Kady gasped, her head in her hands for the second time this evening. "Now everything is out and none if it is in the right order! What the hell are we going to do?"

"Yeah, we can't just let this shit fester and peoples mind to think the worst about Kady!" Brian cuts in. "What can we do, Ryn?"

Now that's the question isn't it?
