It's almost easy...

I grinned behind my hand when Brian reacted like he did. He and Roxy are like brother and sister a lot of the time, and it makes it easier for me having a ridiculous crush on her. If I have to get the 'break her heart and I'll break your neck' speech, I'd kinda rather it came from Brian.

"Are you hungry munchkin?" I asked Taylor from her position on Johnny's lap next to me and she nodded. "Yeah? What do you want to eat?"

"Ice cream." She decided after almost a full minute of contemplation and I chuckled.

"Just ice cream? You don't want chocolate sauce or sprinkles or something?" I pressed and her eyes lit up.

"Can I have both?" She asked and again I laughed.

"Of course you can princess." I told her and she nodded and went back to attempting to unwind Johnny's arms from their position around her.

A few minutes later we pulled up at the restaurant and Syn practically ran inside, with Jimmy hot on his heels.

"Jeez. You'd think they were hungry or something." Roxy said from beside me and I grinned at her.

"You of all people should know what they're both like." I chuckled and she giggled.

"Fair point. Come on. Let's get you lot fed." She proclaimed, grabbed my hand, and dragged me behind her and into the restaurant.

"You cannot seriously be eating that." Roxy gaped when the waitress bought out the dessert that Jimmy had ordered. We'd all had pretty big meals, but someone, probably Brian, had dared him to get a dessert too.

"I can't back out on a dare my friend." He said and Roxy continued gaping, and to be honest, she looks a little green.

"He's gotta eat that or die in the attempt." Brian smirked.

"Why do I take you fuckers out? Seriously?" Matt chuckled.

"Because you love us." I smirked and made a kissy face at him.

Jimmy let out a gigantic burp then, and picked up his spoon, ready to start on the fucktastcially large ice-cream, cream, and god knows what else sundae.

“I feel sorry for you. I really do.” Roxy said and took a sip of her drink.

“Why? I’m the one that has to share a room with him!” Brian cried and looked up from the colouring he was doing with Taylor.

“Exactly. And I know from experience what happens after eating something like this.” Roxy giggled at him.

“None of what you’re saying is gonna stop me!” Jimmy proclaimed.

Credit to him, he actually finished the fucking thing and made it back to the hotel before he started looking a little worse for wear.

“You alright big guy?” I asked with a chuckle, when he kinda just stopped in the middle of the sidewalk then looked around frantically. I bit my lip to contain myself from busting out laughing and pointed at a rather convenient flower bed, and he bolted over and doubled over as he retched.

“Uncle Jimmy do you has cooties too?” Taylor piped up almost the same time as Roxy said ‘I told you!’.

“No munchkin. He just had too much ice cream.” I told her and we all headed inside with the exception of B, who is taking care of Jimmy. “Waaaaaaay too much ice cream.” I added with a chuckle and scooped her up.

“Taylor?” Roxy asked and clearly hasn’t realised I’ve picked her up.

“Hello.” she replied and poked her head over my shoulder.

“Hi honey. I didn’t see you.” she smiled and got into step next to us. “What do you reckon. How bout we go back to our room and we can finish Monster’s Inc before bed?” she suggested and I had to chew on my lip to stop from inviting myself to join them.

That’d be like a dream come true for me right now. Snuggled up under the covers, Roxy tucked into my side…

“Otay! Nigh nigh Uncle Z!” she cried, kinda snapping me out of my day dream and I passed her back to Roxy.

“Night munchkin.” I replied and Roxy said her goodnights, then they disappeared into their room.

I must have just been standing there staring at their closed door, because I suddenly felt someone shove my shoulder and it jolted me and I stumbled forward.

“The fuck man?” I grumbled when I righted myself and realised the person who’d shoved me was Johnny. “What?” I snapped, suddenly in a foul mood.

“Jesus. What the hell crawled up your ass and died man? You were just staring at the door like a lost puppy.” he grinned at me and unlocked the door to our room.

“Nothing. I’m just tired.” I grumbled and he rose an eyebrow as I pushed past him and headed straight for my bed.

“Whatever you reckon…” he trailed off and thankfully left me alone.

I groaned. This crush of mine is really getting ridiculous. I need to tell someone and get it off my chest.

Or you can continue how you have been and pine after her and then get pissy when someone catches you?...uuuuuugh!

I stripped down to my boxers quickly and crawled into the bed, pulling the covers up around my head and squeezing my eyes shut with another groan. Johnny’s stopped paying attention to me thankfully, so I can wallow in self pity. I laid awake for ages just thinking, and by the time I heard Johnny snoring in the bed next to me, I’d decided that I’ve got to at least try to tell Roxy how I feel. How hard can it be right?
