Video Star

So the next two and a half months I was on and off in the studio and I had actually finished my album with a little help from the guys, Matt and I recorded a song together then Brian and I recorded a song together but that one was mostly him on guitar and me on piano. They were getting everything fixed right now and making the finishing touches and adjustments, things like that so I guess technically it wasn’t “finished” but whatever. We were going to release two songs then drop the album at the end of February or beginning of March then I’d be going on tour a few weeks after that I think but I don’t know for how long yet.

Right now I was at the mall with Zack because he wanted to hangout and I haven't been getting to spend any time with the guys, especially not one on one ‘so, you're coming to Matt and Val’s for Thanksgiving right?’ he asked as we looked around in Hallmark, I was looking for a card to send to my parents because I wouldn’t be able to make it back for the holiday. ‘Yeah I guess so, I won’t be able to make it home and there’s no sense in spending the holiday by myself’ I said as I picked something up and read it quickly, it would do so I grabbed the envelope then we just roamed around some more ‘this is true, you could be Brian’s date’ he said and I laughed a little ‘I don’t think he’d wanna be my date’ ‘why not?’ ‘Because I'm definitely not his type’ I said as I picked up a nice fall smelling candle then we headed over to the check out.

‘How do you know what his type is?’ Zack asked and I rose an eyebrow at him as I handed the girl my card, she swiped it then handed it back and started bagging my things ‘because guys like you don’t go for girls like me’ I said as I grabbed my bag and thanked the girl then we headed out and down to spencer’s but he stopped me before we could go in ‘What do you mean girls like you?’ he asked a little concerned, I sighed and asked him if we could go have a smoke. He agreed and we headed out to the parking lot trying to stay a bit away from everyone. ‘Look I'm not like a killer or anything before you get worried’ I said and he chuckled and nodded as we lit up ‘then what's the problem?’ he asked, I sighed again and looked down at my boots then back up at him

‘My last relationship was really really bad, I just, don’t want to get into one then have it not work out because I was too scared to let someone else in’ I said softly and he nodded a bit ‘what happened?’ ‘I was abused really bad, that’s actually why I moved out here in the first place. Matt and I were on the phone at like 3 am and I wouldn’t tell my ex who I was talking to so he beat my ass right there then left and I forgot Matt was on the other end. I told him everything was fine but I still sent him pictures of my face and my ribs. He insisted I move out here so I did and I've been trying to not let anyone that I know from home know where I live so he can't find me’ I explained as I took a hit every few seconds because I was anxious.

Zack just kinda stood there and didn’t say anything for a few seconds but he did hug me, I hugged back and sighed softly because I had finally told someone a little something about my past. He pulled away and looked down at me ‘I promise you that Brian isn’t like that, he might be an asshole at times but he’d never hurt you on purpose and he’s a little shy but I know he likes you’ he smiled, I smiled back and nodded a little as we put our smokes in one of those poll things and went back in heading back over to spencer’s again ‘Now, are you gonna be his date?’ he asked as we looked at hats, I thought for a minute then nodded ‘what the hell’ ‘good, now you just have to ask’ ‘I have to ask?’ I said and he nodded a bit as he walked over to the piercing turning thing ‘why do I have to ask?’ ‘Because he’s a big baby and won’t do it’ ‘well, I guess it’ll be a secret date then because I'm not asking’ I said, he laughed but nodded away.

We headed out and grabbed some food at the restaurant that was attached to the mall then he took me home. I showered then got in bed and played on my phone for a bit then decided to text Brian ‘hey, what's up?’ ‘Not much, you?’ ‘Same, just laying down, I wanted to ask you something though’ ‘ok, shoot’ he texted and I sighed a little and bit my lip ‘do you wanna be my date on Thanksgiving when we go to Matt and Val’s place?’ I asked then went back to playing solitaire on my phone. When he didn’t text back for a while I sighed and leaned over to grab my changer that was on the floor, I was about to plug my phone in when he texted back and I opened it nervously

‘Sorry had to shower real quick but yeah sure, want me to pick you up?’ he said and I smiled big and bit my lip again ‘sure, but we can work all that out when the time come’ ‘alright :)’ ‘I'm gonna sleep now, Zack wore me out at the mall today lol’ ‘lol alright, sweet dreams’ ‘you to Bri’ I texted then plugged my phone in, turned the lamp off and fell asleep happily.
