'Tonight on the show we'll be having Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows and very very new up and coming artist Echo but first we'll be speaking with M. Shadows' I heard the guy say as I watched the show back stage, I was a bit nervous but it was ok. I haven't met Matt yet but I'm kind of an A7X junkie soooo yeah. Oh yeah, I'm Echo and tonight I'm going to be on That Metal Show which is very exciting. Any who, I was drinking my coffee and watching the show as I fixed my makeup a bit while I waited 'And when we come back we'll meet Echo' I heard and I just kinda looked up at the screen then I was rushed out to where I was supposed to stand before they got back and I came out. 'Ok guys we are back and we are going to be welcoming a very very new artist, her name is Echo, come on out!' The guys said, I smiled and came out of the back and got cat calls of course then I gave everyone hugs and sat next to Matt.

Once the screaming stopped a laughed a little 'can I just fan girl for a second because I just got to touch M. Shadows' I laughed and they all did to 'ok so you're obviously an avenged fan' 'oh yeah' 'favorite song?' 'Bat country' I smiled and everyone cheered making me laugh a little 'now first of all great name, is it a stage name like Shadows is for Matt?' 'Uh no actually, my parents are weirdo’s so that's my real name, it's on my birth certificate and everything' 'sweet' 'yeah I know' 'So, you started out doing YouTube videos and you still do them, how long have you been doing them for?' 'Oh god, well I'm 21 now sooo maybe 4 years, I think I started maybe a few months after I turned 17' I said and they nodded. 'Since you are newly signed I decided to go and look you up on YouTube' 'oh god' 'I must say, you are a very talented young lady'

'Why thank you' I said and he nodded a bit 'it seems you do mostly metal or punk covers, do you have any of your own work?' 'I do but none of it's finished, I'm having writers block right now so it's been very difficult' I said and they nodded in understanding 'now, you don't just do music on your channel, you also rant' he said and I laughed and nodded a little 'yeah it's a problem' 'I'll say, I watched your slow drivers vlog and I was cheering you on and laughing so hard I thought I was going to cry' 'that was a bad day' I said with a laugh, 'I wanna see it!' The other guy said 'well good because I was going to show a bit of it anyway' 'oh no!' I cried and put my hands over my face 'now before we play this, can you tell us what you were doing beforehand?'

'Sure, I was on my way home from Walmart and you guys have to realize I live on the east coast so everyone within the tri-state area is a bad driver. Now I'm from Maryland but I had to do a really big shopping so I drove into Delaware because they don't have sales tax. Everything was fine and dandy, shopped with no problems, checked out with no problems, packed my car with no problems. Then I got back onto the highway' I explained then sighed a little 'ok that’s where the video starts so were just going to play it' they said and I nodded then turned a little to look at the tv they had set up.

'Ok guys, first off sorry I look like shit right now I just got done at Walmart but I am about to rant and freak out and I know you guys like watching me lose it so here. I am on my way home from Delaware and the speed limit is 50 ok, now this fucker in front of me is going exactly the speed limit! Wanna know how I know? I'm only going...42 miles an hour. Now I understand people don't wanna get pulled over but the de cop cars are black and light blue! You can't miss them! If you are a fucking de driver or just a fucking idiot who obeys the driving laws maybe you shouldn't drive! It is a well-known fact that you drive 60-65 so the people behind you don't get pissy like I am right now! At least go 55 so the person behind you can go the speed limit like holy. But the fucking idiot is going less than 50 and I haven't been able to pass him yet. Ohhh, ohhh ok I'm passing now......and now I'm in front' I said then flicked my eyes to the mirror so I could see who was driving

'Are you fucking kidding me! Its two teenagers smoking a fucking joint! What the fuck and for those of you that don't know yes I smoke, see?' I said an held my cigarette up to the camera then took a hit and blew it out 'but these idiots are smoking a fucking joint, if you're gonna do that then stay the fuck home! I don't give a fuck what you do just get off the road so I can fucking get home like really?' I said then I put my smoke out when it was finished, rolled up the window and sipped my iced coffee 'ok well, now that that's out of my system, I'm going to go back to listening to my music, bye guys!' I said then hit the stop record on my phone. All the guys looked at me and I just smiled shyly ‘what? I get pissy’ I said and everyone just laughed ‘ok so, I was watching your music and it seems like you play a lot of instruments’ ‘yeah I play the piano, all kinds of guitars, drums, keyboard, kinda the organ and obviously my voice’ I said and they nodded

‘Matt what do you play?’ the guy asked ‘uh actually I play everything that she does but I can only play one kind of guitar’ ‘sweet, you guys should get together and record something’ he said and we looked at each other and nodded a little ‘now, I understand that you have just cover songs up?’ ‘Yeah, I just think their easier right now because none of my work is finished and I don’t like to play something to someone if it isn’t finished’ ‘ahh I see, well I'm looking right now and I see that you have a lot of just piano and only some of you singing with the piano’ he said and I nodded a bit then shifted a little in my seat and re-crossed my legs right over left

‘Yeah, I think the most popular one is when I play and sing Fiction’ I said then looked over at Matt, he looked a little upset ‘and some of the comments I get are people telling me that they love when I play that because I actually start crying while I'm doing it and I didn’t want to edit anything out, I mean like come on, it’s an emotional song and I know what it’s like to lose someone that close to your heart so why would I edit out that I started crying?’ I said and they all nodded a little ‘would the two of you be ok if we played some of it?’ he asked and I looked over at Matt ‘up to you’ I said and he just looked at me then back at them and nodded a little and they brought it up on the big screen.

‘Ok guys, something different today, I'm going to be doing Fiction by Avenged Sevenfold’ I said in the intro then I edited it so it cut to me playing. I had the camera on top of the piano far enough away that it wasn’t right up in my face and then I started playing and singing. Halfway through the song is when the tears started falling and I had to look away from the screen as it finished up. And at the end I put my usual disclaimer then in old script I put In Memory Of James ‘The Rev’ Owen Sullivan. They looked at me and I just cleared my throat a little

‘sorry’ I whispered then stood up and walked into the back, I heard them cut to commercial and I just walked over to the window as tears came to my eyes and I looked out of it as I tried to calm down ‘Hey’ I heard and I looked to see Matt then I looked back out the window ‘hey’ I whispered as I crossed my arms under my chest ‘thank you’ he whispered, I looked up at him and he smiled ‘I really do appreciate it’ he said and I nodded a little ‘just wish it didn’t happen’ I said as I looked back out the window ‘I know, maybe we can talk after the show?’ he asked and I nodded a little then turned to face him ‘ready to head back?’ ‘Sure’ I said softly, he smiled and held his hand out to me, I took it and we walked back out onto the stage and the live audience clapped for us. ‘You good?’ ‘Yeah sorry’ I said as we both sat down, they just nodded a little and went back on the air, we were only on for like 20 more minutes than the show closed out.

Matt was walking me to my car right now because it was dark out ‘wanna get a late dinner or something?’ he asked as we stopped walking when we got to my car ‘don’t you have to get back on the road?’ ‘Not until tomorrow afternoon, we have a few days off’ ‘oh, um, sure why not’ I said and he nodded a little ‘where would you like to go?’ ‘I don’t know, I'm not from here so what's open at 9:30 at night’ I said as I checked my phone, he thought for a second ‘oh, Fridays is open until 11’ ‘ok’ ‘but I need a ride, I took a cab here’ he said and I nodded then told him to get in after I unlocked the car. He directed me to the place and we got out then went in, we were seated in a back corner booth. I put my phone on the table then unzipped my coat and laid it on my bag that was next to me on the seat ‘can I take your drinks?’ our waiter Jim asked, we both got water then he walked away ‘so, when were you signed?’ Matt asked as we looked over the menu

‘um not too long ago, maybe a month now’ ‘oh ok’ he said and I nodded then it got quiet while we looked at the menus, our water came out and we placed our orders then just kinda looked at each other. ‘Are you planning on moving out here?’ ‘I haven’t decided, I love living on the east coast but I think it’s time for a change’ I said and he nodded a little ‘Huntington’s a good place to live, it doesn’t get too hot and it’s not too crowded, I mean during the summer it is just because of the beach but its great in the winter’ ‘that’s good, I don’t do hot weather so as long as I don’t die as soon as I step outside I think I’ll be ok’ I laughed and so did he ‘yeah it’s pretty mild in the summer’ he said then we moved a little as our food came, He got a burger with fries and I got chicken fingers with fries ‘at least you didn’t get a salad’ he chuckled and I nodded as I bit into at fry ‘I don’t do salad to much’ I said and he nodded then bit into his food

‘So, how are Val and your babies?’ I asked once we were both able to talk again ‘their good, I can't wait to get home and take some time off to spend with them’ ‘yeah, this tours like a little over a year isn’t it?’ ‘Yeah, I think it’s the longest one we’ve done’ ‘well, at least you’ll have time off afterwards’ ‘yeah thank god’ he said and I laughed a little and took a sip of my water. ‘So, you said that you know what it’s like to lose someone?’ Matt questioned as we drank our coffee at the end of our meal, I nodded a little and played with the paper my straw came in ‘both my grandparents and both of my best friends’ I said softly then looked up at him, he looked really sympathetic ‘I'm sorry’ he whispered and I nodded ‘worse thing I think was that my grandmother and both friends died within six months of each other so that wasn’t a good year for me’ ‘my god’ ‘yeah so I guess I just turned to music’ I said and he nodded a little then looked up as the waiter came back over
‘Anything else?’ ‘No thanks, just the check’ Matt said and he nodded then handed him the book thing and walked away ‘how much?’ I asked and he shook his head ‘I got it’ he said and I just rose an eyebrow ‘I don’t mind really’ ‘no it’s ok, I got it’ he said as he pulled his wallet out and placed his card inside ‘thanks’ I said and he nodded then handed Jim the book back when he came back over. ‘Where are you staying?’ ‘I was thinking about going to the hotel that’s down the street’ ‘nonsense, you can stay with me’ he said with a smile, I laughed a little ‘you do not wanna see me in the morning’ I said and he laughed as the waiter came back then left again ‘it’s cool, I'm a mess to’ he said and I smiled then sipped my water some more ‘come on, I don’t bite I promise’ ‘oh alright but I'm sorry if I have another fan girl moment’ ‘it’s cool’ he said and we both laughed then got up and went back to my car, I drove where he directed me then pulled into the parking lot.

I grabbed my back pack that I packed for my trip then we got out and went up to his hotel room ‘I feel naughty doing this’ I laughed as he opened the door, he laughed also and lead me into the room. He shut the door then sat on the bed as I looked around ‘ok I've got to get out of this dress’ I said and he pointed me to the bathroom, I thanked him and was about to turn to leave and I remembered I could never get this dress off by myself ‘uh, can you unzip the top of this I can never reach it and I got changed at the place so someone helped me zip it up before you asked how I got it on’ I said and he chuckled then nodded, I turned around and moved my hair out of the way. I felt as he grasped the top and unzipped it to about the middle of my back ‘thanks’ ‘no problem’ he said then I walked into the bathroom and shut the door. I changed into comfy clothes after I got naked because I didn’t like sleeping in a bra or panties but I was fine with have clothes on if that makes sense.

Anyway, I took my makeup off which wasn’t a lot anyway then I packed everything up and walked back out. Matt was sitting on the bed in just boxers and basketball shorts watching tv ‘I hope you like to cuddle’ ‘of course’ he said as I crawled into bed and under the covers, he shut off the tv and the light then did the same. I cuddled into his chest and smiled when he wrapped his large arm around me ‘you have any tattoos?’ he asked after we just laid in silence for a while ‘I have one on my foot but that’s it, I wanna get more I just haven’t yet’ ‘I didn’t notice the one on your foot’ ‘that’s ok, it’s a pumpkin with a scared face’ I said and he laughed a little ‘I'm gonna have to watch your videos when I get back to my laptop’ ‘that’s ok with me’ ‘good’ he said and I smiled ‘and we have to take a picture together before we leave tomorrow’ ‘I think we can do that’ ‘good’ I said and he chuckled then tightened his arm around me as I traced the tattoo on his tummy, we both yawned at the same time which made us laugh ‘good night Echo’ ‘good night Matthew’ I smiled then closed my eyes and fell asleep to his heartbeat.
