Jimmy, you are one smart kid, Elliot thought as she heard her Mom open the door.

Now

It was the first week of December. Elliot had a fall out with Addie over Addie having sex with Arin while Elliot was still going out with him. Matt and her parents never found out that she snuck out to go to the concert with the help of Jimmy.

Elliot was in her second to last lesson of the day, Biology. Addie moved herself away from Elliot after they had their argument and that happened to be Hannah’s seat.

As they were doing group work Hannah nudged Elliot gently.

“Why is Addie not sitting here?” Hannah asked quietly.

“We had a fall out,” Elliot replied. Elliot didn’t want to give out too much information because of who Hannah hanged around with.

“Can I ask what over?”

“Something a supposed best friend should never do,”

“Elliot, I won’t tell London, I’m not like that. She can be too much sometimes.”

Elliot laughed and looked over at London then at Addie.

“Addie and Arin had sex.” Elliot said softly.

“I’m sorry to here that,” Hannah said.

As Hannah spoke more and more, Elliot could heard her accent.

“Where about from England are you from?”

“Beverly,” Hannah said.

“Is it nice there?”

“I guess, it’s mainly farmlands.”

Elliot nodded her head and found out much more from Hannah. Like the fact that she hangs around with London because she has no other friends.

As the bell went signalling last period Hannah and Elliot walked together for the same lesson. Addie walked past them and Elliot just looked at her old friend. Elliot just sighed and continued to talk to Hannah.

They got to their class and sat together again. Elliot got more and more distracted as she saw the sky forming dark clouds. Elliot paid no attention to her work or anyone near her as she looked outside. A storm was coming and she knew it.

The lesson went quickly and Elliot walked to the gates with Hannah. She found Jimmy and Johnny there and told Hannah to follow her.

“Hey, guys do you think my Mom and Dad will let a friend over?” she asked.

“Let me phone them,” Jimmy said as he got out of Johnny’s car and to where Elliot and Hannah were.

“Hey Kim, Elliot was wondering if she could have a friend over for a while. No, it’s not. Yeah, I’ll drop her friend off with her. Okay, bye.” Jimmy put the phone down and back into his pocket.

“Your Mom said yes. Hannah, nice to see you again as he hugged both girls.

Everyone went back into the car and started to drive to Elliot’s.

“Hey Johnny, aren’t you too short to drive?” Elliot asked.

“Ha, ha very funny Baby Sanders!”

“Hey, I’ve not been called that since I was ten!” Elliot whined hating the nickname her brothers friends had given her.

Hannah laughed and watched the scenes unfold.

“Whatever Duck, don’t work about short shit, he’s mad that he can hardly see over the steering wheel.” Jimmy said as he smiled at the two girls.

They pulled up into the drive and Elliot looked outside of the window before getting out. Hannah walked with Johnny and waited at the front door for Jimmy and Elliot.

Jimmy opened her door and got to eye level with her.

“It’s going to be alright,” Jimmy said as he patted her shoulder.

“I hate storms, “

“I know you do, and if the guys get stuck here because it’s too much to handle, I’ll be with you.”
Elliot nodded her head and got out of the car. Jimmy shut the door and nodded his head and Johnny. Elliot lead Hannah to her room and sat on her bed.

“I noticed that you have a similar hole to this,” Elliot said while pointing to the mini hole in her lip where her piercing was.

“Yeah, I took them out because of London.” Hannah said.

“Why?” Elliot asked.

“She said that I won’t make any friends with it in.”

“Hey, don’t believer her okay. I mean look at Jimmy he has his labret done and he’s coming out big in the music business. And Matt has the same as me before I lost my ring.” Elliot said while looking over at Hannah.

Hannah sighed and leaned back on Elliot’s bed.

“Should I just give up on London?” Hannah asked.

“Do you want to?”

“I don’t know, but she keeps on putting me down.”

“Do what you thinks best.” Elliot said as she looked over at her new friend.

“Kids!” Matt shouted. “Get your asses down here!”

“Looks like my brother wants us.” Elliot laughed.

Hannah giggled and sat up. They both made their way downstairs and found the guys in the front room. On the table was bags full of Chinese food. Elliot and Hannah tucked in before all the food was gone.

After their food and after Hannah and Elliot promised each other to be friends Jimmy grabbed Johnny’s car keys and his black hoodie. Hannah grabbed her bag and said bye to the others. Elliot sat in the back with her and sang along to Metallica as Jimmy blasted it through the speakers.

Jimmy dropped Hannah off and Elliot moved to the front passenger seat. They waited until Hannah was inside and Jimmy drove off. At a stop light Jimmy handed Elliot his hoodie.
“Why are you giving me this?”

“Because it’s getting colder and it looks like it’s going to rain.”

Elliot nodded her head and put the jacket on. She breathed in and smelt his scent. She had a small smile on her face and she looked back at the sky. There was only hints of blue in sight everywhere else dark grey.

Jimmy grabbed her hand with his free hand and tried to calm her down. Before they made it to the next pair of traffic lights, the rain began to fall down harshly. Elliot closed her eyes, waiting for the worst to come.

Jimmy tried to get to the house as quickly as he could. Once they were in the drive Jimmy ran out of the car and to Elliot’s side. He opened the car door and picked her up, knowing that she wasn’t going to move otherwise. He opened the front door and Elliot clung on to him.

“Didn’t make it on time,” Matt said as he picked up his sister from Jimmy. “There’s spare clothes in my wardrobe. Go and have a shower to warm up.”

Matt took off the hoodie Jimmy gave Elliot and placed it somewhere warm. He sat down and cuddled his sister closer to him. He stroked her hair and rubbed her back trying to get her to calm down.

A clap of thunder was heard and Elliot tensed more, Matt looked at the guys for help and they moved all of the rubbish and moved the coffee table. Brian went upstairs and grabbed the spare mattress and placed it on the floor with the help of Zacky.

They made the living room into a big bed and Matt placed Elliot next to Zacky as he went to find DVD’s to watch. More thunder was heard and Elliot gripped on to Zacky, wanting the storm to be over.
