Chapter 10

Way to fucking go, Brian, way to go… Jimmy and Matt were thinking at the same time while Mr Sanders drove.
Now
Matt and Jimmy were in the waiting room. Amy had to go for an emergency practice, if she didn’t go she was going to get kicked off the team. Kim and Gary had to go to work for a meeting. And Dan went not long after the latter did.
It’s been four hours since Elliot was brought in to hospital, and that meant four hours of torture. Matt watched nurses and doctors go into the room that his sister was in and he couldn’t tell if it was good news or bad. Jimmy tensed up as more and more doctors and nurses went into the room.
I shouldn’t be like this, I love Leana… Jimmy thought as he watched a doctor approach them.
“Are you two here for Elliot Amanda Sanders?” he asked.
The doctor was young, later 20’s. He had black hair and glasses. He was tall, but not as tall as Jimmy.
“Yes, yes we are.” Matt said as he stood up. Jimmy following his lead.
“My name’s Dr Green. Can I ask you a few questions before I tell you the news?”
Matt and Jimmy nodded their heads and followed Dr Green into an office.
“It says here that one of you men are related to Elliot…which one of you is it?” Dr Green asked as he read from a clip bored.
“That would be me,” Matt said as he took a deep breath.
“Your full name, please.”
“Matthew Charles Sanders.”
“How old are you?”
“22.”
“Okay then. And how are you connected to Elliot?” Dr Green asked Jimmy.
“I’ve known her since she was a baby.”
“Same age as Mr Sanders here, I presume?”
“Yes Sir,”
“Full name?”
“James Owen Sullivan.”
“Alright. Now that I have this information I can tell you about Elliot. Elliot is in a bad state at the moment and she isn’t responding. Once she is responding, which should be in the next few hours, we can check her out. We will need to do a few X-rays on her to see if she has broken a bone. And from the bruising and swelling on her stomach, I would say that she had broken one or more ribs.”
Matt and Jimmy sighed in sync. Their friend had done this to Elliot, all because he was high.
“Thank you for letting us know, Dr Green.” Matt said as he shook hands with him.
“Feel free to see her now, but be warned. Nurses and other doctors will be coming in and out.”
The two men nodded and walked out of the office and into the room Elliot was in.
“Fucking Hell,” Jimmy said as he say all of the machines and wires.
“This shit has just gotten bigger.” Matt said as he looked at his pale sister.
Jimmy patted Matt on the back and sat down next to Elliot’s bed.
“I’m going to ask you something, but please don’t go ape shit on me.” Jimmy said as he looked over at Matt.
“What do you want?”
“Can I hold her hand?” Jimmy asked nervously.
“Be gentle. I’m going out for a cig. You want a drink?”
Jimmy nodded his head and gently placed his hand on top of Elliot’s. He smiled softly and watched Matt walk out off the room. Jimmy sighed and moved his chair closer to Elliot’s bed.
“Please wake up soon El. We need you here, with us. Please don’t give up.”
A knock came at the door and Addie walked in with red eyes. Jimmy stood up and hugged her.
“Amy told me, I can’t believe it.” she cried. Jimmy tried to calm her down and held her.
“She’s doing okay. Matt and I talked to the doctor.”
“I’m not going to forgive him for what he’s done.” Addie whispered into Jimmy’s chest.
“I don’t think we all are.”
“Can I stay the night?”
“I think Matt is. I am. But check with Matt first okay?” Addie nodded her head and let go of Jimmy. She sat at the foot of Elliot’s bed and looked over at her.
Jimmy sat back down where he was and held her hand again. Addie looked over and smiled softly. Even if he did break her best friends heart for a little while, he was still concerned about her.
Matt walked in and handed Addie and Jimmy a drink. Before Addie said anything Matt looked at her.
“I saw you come in the front. And I think you’re planning on staying here for a while, thus the drink.” Addie smiled and looked back at Elliot.
All three of them sat in silence as people in white and blue clothing came in and out of the room.

P.S I was going trhough the chapters and I realised that 'Amanda' was her middle name not 'Olivia' sorry for ny confusion/
I liked it at first but honestly there`s too much drama.. No decent older brother, especially not Matt, would be this shitty to their sister.
