Brian POV

I’m so glad on how the day turned out to be. We got Katelyn back and Rick got arrested. Despite this, I still think that Katelyn went through something a bit more traumatizing than she’s actually telling us. She doesn’t want to speak about what happened before we arrived, although I think that that prick raped her. I’m not going to force her into telling me, I will let her tell me what happened to her when she feels ready to do so.

To celebrate, Matt decided to go to my place and stay there for a while. It’s better than going to a club or somewhere else with a lot of people. Personally I’m not in that kind of mood right now, so my place sounds actually pretty nice. And I’m sure that Katelyn wants to stay in a more secure environment for the night.

We are on the way to my house, both me and Nina are in Johnny’s car. We are seated in the back seat, Katelyn resting her head on my chest, while I’m holding her close to me. Holding her feels good, haven’t done this since I have been in a relationship, which have been ages ago. I want her to feel safe with me. I look outside of the window, and get lost in my own thoughts.
I feel my thigh being squeezed, so I look at Katelyn all surprised and I see her looking up to me.
“Johnny asked you something brown eyes”, she tells me in the softest voice.
I look at Johnny. “What?”
“Damn Haner. I said, would you mind if I ask Miss L. to come to your house tonight?”
“Yeah sure I don’t mind, you can ask her, whatever” I shrug.

Katelyn starts laughing quietly, her head still in my chest so I can actually feel her laughing. “So, you’re texting her and everything, but still call her ‘Miss. L’?” she asks Johnny.
“Well, she doesn’t want to tell me her name. She told me the more I brag, the longer she’s gonna take, so I stopped asking”. I notice him looking at Katelyn, from the car mirror. “Unless you are willing enough to tell me her name yourself” and he winks at Katelyn.
She laughs again, “That’s the least I can do after all you did for me. Her name is Laura, Johnny. And you’re welcome”. She smiles and looks at me. I hug her closer to me.
“You’re the best Katelyn! Finally now I know it!!” Johnny says all excitedly.
“Ok now calm down. You better call her if you want her to be here on time.” I open the car door, “We arrived sweetie”.

I hold Katelyn’s hand as I open my house, and she squeezes it tightly. I look at her and notice she looks nervous.
“It’s going to be ok now Katelyn, I promise”.
“Well, I hope so”, she says, sounding not convinced.
“I’m telling you, it’s going to be ok. Now tonight let’s try and forget about what happened, and enjoy the night” I tell her, all excited.
“Yes! I truly want to forget!”

We walk into the kitchen, and I notice that everyone has arrived. Johnny told us that Laura is on her way as she agreed to come after all. Matt and I brought out some booze and cups, as Zacky turned some music on.

I let Katelyn to stay a bit with Nina, they deserved some girls-alone time. Nina looks much better now, calmer and happier that her friend is safe, and back with her. After a couple of minutes Laura joined our party, well actually she mainly joined Johnny as they started making out on the couch in the living room. Damn, they could definitely get a room right now.
As we’re drinking and having fun, I can’t help but notice Katelyn a bit distanced. She is having fun, but sometimes she seems to be lost in her own thoughts. Well, maybe later on I will ask her how she’s feeling, maybe she would be willing to open up a little bit.

But right now, it’s time for some games, and booze obviously. Matt and I are playing a variation of the game ‘War’, against Arin and Zacky. We have several cards and we’re revealing them one at a time, the teams with the bigger card wins the round and the opponent had to down 3 shots of vodka at one go.
“Fuck!! Did you rig these cards? How come you won 4 rounds in a row? I can’t stand this much alcohol!”, Arin starts complaining.
“Oh come on dude don’t be a buzz kill! If you’re wasted you can sleep here, so no excuses!” I tell him.
“Oh man, don’t make me look bad! Just keep up will ya?” Zacky tells Arin, as Arin is holding his head in his hands because of the dizziness. Katelyn starts laughing at this vision. It’s so nice to hear her laugh again.
“Damn Arin you’re the worst! I can down shots more than you!”
“Ohhhh someone is getting ass whipped by a girl!!” Matt says out loud. At this moment Arin got up, looked at Katelyn with a glare.
“Oh fuck yeah I can keep up! You see I will down the rest if I have to!”
“Good for you buddy”, says Katelyn, while clapping slowly.

Eventually Matt and I won the game. Once we finished, we realise that Arin wasn’t feeling that great so we decided for him to stay in my place, sleeping on my couch in the living room. Johnny and Laura had left a while ago, well, they had to satisfy their needs that’s for sure. At last it’s just me and Katelyn in my house, as Arin is sound asleep on the couch.

“Come, you need to rest”, I tell Katelyn while grabbing her hand and guiding her upstairs to my bedroom. She walks slowly, still lost in her thoughts. Damn Katelyn, why won’t you open up to me! But I ask her nothing, not to make her feel uncomfortable.
“Here, change into this, you’d feel more comfortable in them anyway”.
She smiles while she grabs my top from my hand, “I’m remembering the first night I slept here, I told you that you did it on purpose not packing any night clothes for me”.
“Yeah I remember”, I chuckle. It feels like ages ago, but actually it have been just a couple of days, maybe weeks. A lot had happened since that day.

She heads to the bathroom to get changed. I unzip my jeans and stand on my bed in just my boxers. As she came out of the room, I notice her covering herself more with her hands and comes quickly to bed, always looking at the floor.
“Katelyn, why are you acting like this?” I ask her finally. I couldn’t hold it in me any longer.
“Like what?” she asks me, looking at me all surprised.
“Like you’re trying to avoid eye contact with me. You seem a bit lost. What happened?”
“No nothing, it’s just because I’m a bit tired. Really”, she says, lifting her hand and places it on my cheek. Her palm feels so warm against my face.

I lean forward to meet her lips, those soft lips. Unlike earlier on today, she didn’t pull away this time. She continued kissing me lightly, until I granted her access. The kiss intensified, our tongues caressing each other, the best way possible. At one moment she slightly bit my lower lip, and I let out a moan at that instant. I can feel my cock stir so I leaned a bit closer. I put my hands underneath the shirt on her stomach, and started moving them upwards to caress her breasts. She stopped me from doing so, as she got hold of my hands and slowly pushed them downwards again to her stomach.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have”, I tell her while looking deep in her eyes. I can see lust in those green eyes, but also some nervousness. She just smiles and let me kiss her again slowly. Slowly I lay her on the bed not breaking the kiss, and I lean on top of her, balancing most of my weight on my hands. The kiss intensifies again and I slightly move my hips, and I could feel my erection against her crotch. Oh damn.

At that instant I hear Katelyn gasps, she throws me off of her with all of her force and she quickly gets up from the bed. She runs towards the bathroom and locks the door behind her. All surprised I go after her and try to open the door, but it was for nothing.
“Katelyn, what happened?” Why is she acting like this?
“Katelyn please open the door for me. Let me come in and stay next to you”. I can hear her crying from behind the door, most probably she’s sitting on the floor.
I knock softly on the door, “I’m sorry if I did anything to upset you. But please, open this door, let me come in”. No response, all I can hear is some distant crying coming from inside. Damn Katelyn, what did Rick do to you to make you act like this? That sick bastard…..

What happened to Katelyn? Why is she acting like this towards Brian?
