Fire Inside

We were finally home from tour, which I was excited about. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the traveling and going on stage but I'm very happy to have my bed back and have an actual bathtub. Right now I was doing laundry then I was going to shower and get ready for my date with Matt and no my dad didn’t say I could go so I told him that I was going to shower and go to bed early, then I'm going to go out the window just like I told him I would. Now I didn’t know what we were doing so I just put on a skirt, a tank and a sweater and my flip flops. I did my make up like usual then made sure to lock my door, I opened my window and felt the cool fall air as it rushed in, now since I've done this before I've broken the lock on my window so even if my dad does see that I've left, he can’t lock me out of my window and force me to come in the front door so he can yell, I’ve only been caught once and I was 14. Anyway, I threw my bag down first then my flip flops then I climbed out and down the trellis that was on the side of the house with no other windows, why they put it under my window I have no idea.

I got to the bottom, grabbed my bag and shoes then took off across the yard and down the street. I walked the three blocks to Matt’s house, after slipping on my flip flops, because I told him I didn’t wanna risk us being caught but he fought to take me home so he’ll be dropping me off a block away. When I got to his house I rang the doorbell and waited a few seconds, I heard shuffling inside then the door opened and there stood Matt in dark jeans and no shirt which made me bite my lip ‘hey’ I smiled and he smiled back then let me in ‘I’ll just be a few minutes’ he said and I nodded then watched him walk upstairs. I just looked around his living room and kitchen until he came back down with a shirt and shoes on; he was having a little trouble with his bandana though.

‘Sit’ I said and pointed to the couch, he sat and I took his bandana from him then fixed it on his head. ‘Thank you’ ‘you're welcome’ I smiled and he smiled back then stood up and towered over me. He put on his hat then grabbed his keys and held out his hand to me, I blushed a little and took it as he walked us over to the car and opened my door for me ‘well well mister Shadows, I might just have to do something nice for you to’ I smirked as he helped me in, he smirked also then got in the other side.

We just talked the whole way to wherever we were going and it was nice. We ended up at the mall and I just kinda rose an eyebrow at him ‘movie?’ he asked a little shyly and I nodded with a smile, he smiled back and we got out of the car then walked into the mall and over to the ticket thing ‘something scary?’ I asked and he nodded then picked the scariest one, we got in line without snacks because we didn’t want any and then we waited in line for like 10 minutes because we got up there to early. Once we could finally go back we went all the way to the top and into one of those two person side seats, I took off my sweater, put it in my bag and set my bag on the floor by the wall. Since this movie had been out a few weeks it wasn’t to terribly crowded, as the previews ended I leaned against Matt’s chest and he wrapped an arm around my shoulders.

The movie was very good and we actually watched it, we didn’t do that first date making out thing we just enjoyed the movie and now we’re getting something to eat. We just went to a cute little dinner and talked and laughed and shared some desert. Once that was finished and paid for we decided it would be a good idea to take me home since it was getting to be late. Matt drove me to the corner of the block because he didn’t want me walking alone this late ‘I’ll be fine I promise’ I smiled and he just gave me a look making me sigh ‘would it make you feel better if I let you stay and watch me get back in the house?’ ‘Yes, that would make me feel a lot better’

‘Alright then, when will I see you again?’ ‘Well, I'm going to have a BBQ this weekend and everyone’s coming, maybe you can too?’ ‘I’ll try’ I smiled and he smiled back then leaned over and kissed me, I kissed back then pulled away slowly ‘I’ll text you when I wake up’ I said and he nodded then kissed me again making me smile ‘good night’ I whispered when we pulled away ‘good night’ he whispered back then watched me get out of the car and climb back up the trellis and into my window. When I got up there I leaned back out and waved to him, he waved back then went home.
