Girl I Know

Stella's POV:
I slide into my short shorts and put on my bra before buttoning up Zacky's plaid shirt again. The guys are all downstairs, I feel like I’m interrupting a band hang out but they said I was welcome, plus I’d like to get to know them. I grab Zacky’s t-shirt that’s in a lump on the floor before going into the bathroom to try to fix the mess I call my hair. I find a comb in the cabinet and try to flatten the tangled disaster. I look at my reflection, it’ll have to do. I make my way back downstairs, when I walk into the living room they all look at me. It feels like when you were late for class as a kid and as soon as you walk into the room, everyone stares at you like you just committed a crime. I toss Zacky his shirt and sit down next to him. He covers up and puts an arm around me. “Want a beer Stella?” Jimmy asks while holding a can towards me. He smiles in the sweetest possible way, I already like him. “Thanks!” I say before grabbing it and cracking it open. “She’s pretty and likes beer? Hold on to this one” Brian says to Zacky with a wink. I blush slightly before taking a sip and moving closer to Zacky. “So is Johnny the only married one?” I ask, breaking the silence . “Nope. Matt and myself are married." Brian responds. “Well, what about you Steph? Were you ever married?” Johnny asks, turning the unwanted attention over to me. I narrow my eyes at him; he’s getting back at me. “Nope..." I say nonchalantly. Everyone stays silent, eager for me to continue. “What about Adam?” Johnny asks suddenly and I glare at him, why did he have to bring him up? “Uh, yeah” I mumble. “Who’s that?” Zacky asks and I look up at him. He’s just looking back at me with innocent eyes, completely oblivious to anything that has to do with my personal life. “Oh, he's just this guy that I used to know” I answer as casually as I can and he nods. “So guys!” Matt says, sensing my discomfort, “Are we planning on putting a tour together soon?” he asks, completely changing the subject. Jimmy,Brian, Zacky and him start discussing the possible tour and places they’d like to play when Johnny suddenly gets up, “I’ll be right back, going to the bathroom” he says and the guys nod before continuing their conversation. I need to talk to Johnny so I get up and make some bullshit excuse about needing to get some food or something and walk into the kitchen, which is right next to the bathroom Johnny went into, and wait.

Johnny's POV:
I open the bathroom door, but I can’t leave because Stella is blocking my way, “What?” I ask, she looks mad and I’m pretty sure I know why. She places a hand on my chest and pushes me backwards back into the bathroom and closes the door behind us, “Why the fuck did you bring up Adam?” she asks in almost a whisper, I can hear the anger already beginning to build in her voice. I stare into her furious eyes for a little, contemplating what I should say. “I thought he was old news?” I ask. “He is,” she snaps “I like Zacky now” she adds quickly. “So it shouldn’t bother you that I bring him up” I point out and she sighs, unable to answer. “You’re still seeing him aren’t you?” I ask slowly and she shakes her head, “No, not anymore” she says shakily but I can tell it’s a lie. “Fuck Stella, really? I mean I know you’ve only been with Zacky for a week but you’re already cheating on him, with your ex fiance at that?” I ask, it’s my turn to get angry now. “I’m not!” she says louder, but soon lowers her voice “I’m not seeing him anymore, don’t worry Johnny” she reassures but I don’t buy it. “How can I not be worried? Zacky is one of my best friends, if this is how your relationship is starting out then he already deserves better then you” I say harshly . “I’m not fucking seeing Adam, drop it alright?” she hisses. “Why does it bother you so much that I brought him up then?” I ask, “Because we have quite a past together and Zacky doesn’t need to know about it” she answers. “So now you’re already lying to him?” I ask and she lets out a frustrated sigh. I know I’m pushing her buttons, but she deserves it if this is how she’s already treating Zacky. “Johnny” she says sternly and I look into her eyes “I am not seeing Adam alright? Drop the subject and don’t mention his name ever again. I like Zacky now and yes, Adam and I had a good relationship but it’s in the past. However, you still need to fucking keep quiet about him ok?” she grinds her teeth together. This is really a touchy subject. “Fine, but if I find out that you two are still fucking, I’m telling Zacky immediately” I answer harshly and just as sternly. “Fine” she says before glaring at me again, turning around, opening the bathroom door and leaving.
