When I woke up the next morning it was to quiet talking and giggling ‘Jimmy stopppp’ I heard being whined ‘noooooo you have to start talking’ I heard Jimmy say softly, I moved a little and tightened my arm around whatever I was holding onto ‘daddy’ I heard Abby giggle and I was poked on the nose, I opened my eyes and saw both Abby and Jimmy looking at me ‘what’ I whispered a little hoarsely from just getting up ‘I can’t breatheeeee’ she whined with a little smile so I just kissed her forehead and loosened my arm a little ‘how did you sleep?’ I asked her and she bit her lip ‘it was ok after I went back to bed’ she said and I nodded ‘yeah I woke her up though!’ Jimmy said happily and she rolled her eyes and turned to face him ‘yeah because you were poking my side until I woke up’ ‘well, I wanted someone to talk to’ he pouted and she awwwwed a little and leaned up to kiss his nose.

Jimmy beamed and I chuckled ‘alright you two enough mushy stuff’ I said and they both looked at me a little hurt and I raised an eyebrow at them ‘don’t look at me like that it’s weird’ I said and tightened my arm back around Abby’s waist. She cuddled into me and Jimmy cuddled into her wrapping his arm around her waist also, I felt her smile into my chest and she cuddled into both of us. ‘Bri!?’ I heard being yelled and I groaned ‘what!?’ I yelled back and Matt, Johnny and Zack came through the door pouting ‘we want cuddles!’ Johnny pouted and I heard Abby giggle ‘then come here, there’s another big blankey in the top of my closet’ she said and Matt pulled it down and they all came over, crawled on the bed and settled down between the three of us. Matt had his head on Jimmy’s stomach, Zack had his head on my stomach and Johnny had his head on Abby’s stomach.

Abby nuzzled her head into my chest a little more and smiled ‘so this is what a family does’ she whispered and we all just nodded ‘we love you Abby, don’t ever think that we don’t ok?’ Matt whispered, she looked over at him and nodded ‘I love you guys to’ ‘good’ Zack said happily and I smiled and kissed Abby’s forehead ‘I wonder what Michelle will think about this’ Abby giggled and I laughed a little ‘that were probably having an orgy’ Johnny said with a chuckle and I saw Abby’s face get red so I tightened my arm around her more ‘guys!’ I heard and we all groaned ‘were not home’ I softly and everyone laughed, the door opened and Michelle and Val were standing there with their arms crossed smiling at us ‘yes?’ Matt asked and Val walked over to us and crawled on the bed with us but Michelle didn’t, which was a little weird but whatever

‘Do you guys want breakfast?’ she asked and we nodded and told her we wanted pancakes and bacon, she nodded and left. ‘Odd’ Val said but I just shrugged ‘she doesn’t like cuddling’ I pouted and Abby gasped a little ‘who doesn’t like to cuddle!’ she said and I shrugged again then kissed her head, she kissed my neck and I chuckled. We all talked for a bit then everyone got up to stretch and to go eat breakfast, everyone was out of Abby’s room except for me and her, I was about to walk out but she grabbed my arm ‘daddy wait’ she whispered and I turned to her, her eyes were full of tears ‘baby, what's wrong?’ I whispered back and wrapped my arms around her ‘I wanna talk about my nightmare’ she said and I nodded and pulled her over to her bed. I sat down then sat her in my lap ‘what happened baby, you can tell me anything’ I said and she nodded then took a deep breath.

‘When I was 12 my little brother and I were in the park playing because my parents were fighting and I didn’t want him to be around that because he was only 8 so I took him to the park down the street. We were on the swings for a little bit then we started playing with a ball, just throwing it back and forth. I threw it too far and before I could go get it he ran off after it so I ran after him, we ran into the woods but I couldn’t find him so I started looking for him and yelling for him but he didn’t answer’ she explained and I nodded and wiped away a tear that fell ‘when I finally found him, he-he was-‘ she started again but started crying harder so I wrapped my arms around her tight and started rocking her back and forth a bit

‘you don’t have to finish’ I whispered but she shook her head ‘you have to know’ she whispered back through her tears, I nodded and pulled back to look at her ‘when I found him, he was being raped by a big bulky man in a long black coat, he was screaming and crying for me but I just stood there and watched. Then the guy finished and slit his throat, when he stood up and turned to leave he saw me standing there. He started to come towards me but I ran off deeper into the woods and he started screaming after me that he was going to kill me because I saw what he did, he said that I could never hide from him and that he’d always find me.

I don’t know how long I was running but I ended up on the main road and since I ran out into the street I was hit by a car and I ended up in the hospital. From what I can remember I was in there for a week I think and I told the police what happened, they told me I had to go to trial once they caught him so I told them ok. They caught him maybe a week or two later, I went to trial and was a witness then he was put away for like 8 years I think because they didn’t really have a lot to go on. After the trial when my parents found out I didn’t help my brother they kicked me out and I lived in the orphanage until you came and got me’ she told me quietly, I just sat there in shock not knowing what to say

‘It’s my fault’ she whispered and that snapped me out of it ‘no baby, it’s not your fault. You were only 12 and didn’t know what to do. You can’t blame yourself for this’ I whispered harshly, she just nodded and leaned into my chest as I held her tighter ‘Bri are you coming?!’ I heard as Michelle walked into Abby’s room, her eyes softened and she came and sat next to us and wrapped her arms around us both. ‘Come on, let’s go get some breakfast’ I said and Abby nodded and we all walked downstairs and into the kitchen where everyone else was sitting, eating and talking. I got Abby and I a plate then sat next to her at the table, she was already talking to Zack which made me smile, she had taken a liking to him which was fine because I knew he’d always protect her, just like all the other guys would.

I was watching as Abby sat outside with Zack, they were both smoking and talking, he was making a beautiful smile come to her face. ‘I'm so glad she’s ours’ I heard from behind me and I smiled and nodded ‘me to’ I whispered as I turned to face Michelle ‘what was she crying about earlier?’ she asked as she set her hand on my arm, I sighed and looked back over as Abby came back into the house with Zack ‘Abby?’ I asked and she looked at me with a little smile

‘Can I tell Michelle what you told me?’ I asked and her smile dropped and she clung onto Zack’s shirt and turned away from me. ‘No’ she whispered and I raised an eyebrow then walked over to her ‘why not baby?’ ‘I don’t want everyone to know’ she whispered again and I nodded ‘ok baby, Zack, will you take her out to a movie or something?’ I asked and he nodded then wrapped his arm around Abby and took her upstairs so they could get dressed. I turned back to Michelle and she looked a little upset that Abby didn’t want her to know

‘Michelle, it’s really bad. She hasn’t told anyone except me’ I said as I walked over to her ‘well, she won’t know if you tell me or not’ ‘I know love, but I still think I shouldn’t’ ‘but Bri!’ ‘no, now stop’ I said sternly and she nodded and walked into the living room, I heard the TV turn on and knew that she would be watching her show. I smiled when Abby and Zack came into the kitchen, she looked so beautiful in her black pants and band shirt, her short hair parted on the right and pin straight.

No makeup which I was defiantly fine with because she didn’t need it ‘bye daddy’ she said as she hugged me around the waist, I hugged her shoulders and smiled ‘bye baby, you take care of her Zack’ I said once I let go, he nodded and we hugged then they left. When I knew they were gone I walked into the living room and sat down next to Michelle ‘I’ll only tell you if you swear not to tell anyone else, not even Val’ I said and she nodded then turned the TV off and looked over at me, I sighed and shook my head

‘She watched her baby brother get raped and killed and she thinks it’s her fault because she couldn’t help’ I said and Michelle gasped a little ‘oh my god, maybe that’s why she doesn’t talk’ she said and I nodded ‘that’s what I'm thinking. She said that the guy that did it caught her looking and told her he was going to kill her, he went to jail and her family disowned her because they thought it was her fault for not helping’ I said again and she just nodded still in shock

‘I wish we could do something’ ‘I know baby, I wish we could to but I don’t want her to know that I told you so please don’t bring it up’ ‘I won’t baby, I swear’ she smiled then leaned over to kiss me, I kissed back and she moved to straddle my lap ‘mmm I like where this is going’ I laughed and she giggled then started kissing my neck and running her hands down my chest to the top of my basketball shorts ‘take me upstairs Bri?’ she asked and I nodded and lifted her up by her thighs and took her up to our room and slammed the door closed with my foot.

::Abby’s POV::

Uncle Zack and I were walking around the mall together, he had his arm around my shoulders and I had mine around his lower back ‘what movie do you wanna see?’ he asked as we got in line for tickets, I shrugged and looked up at him ‘something scary?’ ‘ok’ he nodded and we got up to the counter, he got us two tickets for the new Friday the 13th then we walked up to the theater and stood in line for our snacks and whatnot. When we finally got up front I got a diet coke and a soft pretzel ‘that’s all you want?’ he asked and I nodded as I took a little sip of my soda ‘if I get popcorn will you help me finish it?’ ‘Sure’ I nodded again and he smiled then asked the guy for a large popcorn and a diet Dr. Pepper.

We walked over to the movie line after paying for our things then walked to the theater we were supposed to ‘I guess you wanna sit up top so you can see?’ he asked and I fake glared at him, he chuckled and kissed my temple then walked us up to the top row and in the middle ‘are you excited?’ he asked as the lights went low, I nodded and smiled big over at him, he smiled back and we settled into our seats as the previews started.

Once the movie started everyone stopped talking and it was quiet except for the people that were jumping at things because they were scared, which I thought was funny because I loved scary movies. We were about halfway through the movie when I put up the arm rest and cuddled into uncle Zack’s side, he wrapped an arm around my shoulders and I leaned my head against his chest a little and continued watching the movie.

‘That was amazing!’ I squeaked as we walked out, he laughed at me a little and wrapped his arm back around my shoulders as we walked back down the steps and into the food court ‘do you wanna do anything else?’ he asked as we started walking back through the mall, we were getting looked at weird and I didn’t know why ‘um, is there a movie store here?’ ‘Yeah it’s movies and music’ ‘can we go there?’ ‘of course baby girl, anywhere your heart desires’ he said and I blushed a little as we walked over to the store, it was called FYE and it was full of movies and music just like he said.

I walked over to the music first and started looking at everything until I picked up a CD with a grim reaper riding a horse with a sward in his hand ‘this looks interesting’ I said to myself as I read the back of it ‘hey uncle Zack?’ I asked and he looked over at me from the other end of the isle, I motioned him over and he looked down at my hands ‘have you heard of this band before?’ I asked and he laughed loudly at me, I rose an eyebrow and looked at him like he was crazy ‘what are you laughing at?’ I asked and he stopped and looked at me confused ‘you really don’t know?’

‘Know what?’ I asked and he smiled ‘babe, I'm in that band, so is your dad and the rest of the guys’ he said and I chuckled at him but he wasn’t laughing ‘you're serious?’ ‘Yeah’ he nodded and I looked back down at the CD ‘I can’t believe you haven’t heard of us before’ he said as I looked back up at him ‘is that why everyone’s been staring at us?’ ‘Probably’ he said with a nod and I nodded then put the CD back without another word.

I walked over to the movies and started thumbing through those as uncle Zack walked back over to what he was looking at before ‘hey baby, can I get your number?’ I heard from beside me and saw a tall guy with short blonde hair, dark wash jeans and a black t-shirt leaning against the shelve with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face. I didn’t answer and went back to what I was looking at ‘I asked you a question!’ he said a little louder and he gripped my arm pretty hard and turned me to face him, I still didn’t say anything but I did end up whimpering

‘Hey! Get your fucking hands off my niece!’ I heard uncle Zack yell as he came around the corner, the guy let go and backed away from me as uncle Zack started walking towards us ‘you ok Abby?’ he asked and I nodded as I rubbed my upper arm ‘you wanna go home?’ he asked again and I just nodded again. He wrapped his arm around me and walked me out of the store and to the car, he opened my door for me and helped me in then he walked over to his side and got in then drove back to Brian’s house.

::Syn’s POV::

I heard the front door open from my spot on the couch and I saw Abby as she had to walk through the living room to get to the stairs ‘hey Abby’ I said, she didn’t say anything as she ran up the steps, I looked over at Zack and raised an eyebrow ‘something wrong?’ ‘Some guy grabbed her arm when we were in FYE but I scared him off, I don’t know what he said though. She was looking at movies and I was looking at CD’s’ he said and I nodded as I stood up and walked over to him ‘you think I should ask her about it?’ ‘If you want, we were having a great time. She even picked up an Avenged CD then asked me if I had heard about them so obviously she had no idea who we are’ ‘wow really?’ ‘Yeah, she didn’t even know what to say’ ‘wow’ ‘yeah I know, well look man I gotta get back to Gina. I’ll talk to you guys later’ he said and I nodded as we hugged and he left.

I looked up the steps and sighed softly as I started up them; I stopped in front of Abby’s door and heard her little sniffles ‘Abby?’ I asked softly as I opened her door, she was sitting on the bed holding her arm; I walked over to her and sat next to her ‘wanna tell me what happened?’ I asked and she shrugged ‘it’s stupid’ she whispered then looked over at me, I wiped the tears from her face and kissed her forehead.

She took a deep breath to calm herself then looked up at me ‘this mean guy just called me baby and asked for my number then grabbed my arm really hard’ she said softly and I nodded, ‘let me see your arm’ I said and she unzipped her sweater then pulled her arm out of it, she had a hand print bruised on her small arm. I ran my fingers over it softly and she flinched a little ‘I'm sorry, it’s not broken just a bad bruise. You’ll be ok’ I said and she nodded then looked down at her hands, I kissed her temple and stood up and walked out of her room and back into the living room where Michelle was sitting.

‘Hey’ she said and I smiled at her ‘hey’ I said as I sat back on the couch and wrapped my arm around her shoulders as she cuddled into my side. ‘Is Abby ok?’ ‘yeah just some creep at the mall called her baby, asked for her number and grabbed her arm really hard and left a good bruise there’ ‘did Zack scare him off’ ‘yeah, she’ll be ok’ ‘ok good’ she nodded then cuddled back into me, I pulled her closer and tightened my arm around her.

I started thinking about Abby some more as we watched family guy, we needed to get her a cell phone and some more clothes, I know she needs them because she only had one bag and she wore the same pants from yesterday. ‘Bri?’ I heard and I looked down at Michelle ‘yeah?’ ‘we should probably get Abby a cell phone’ ‘I was just thinking that’ I smiled and she smiled back then leaned up to kiss me, I kissed back and she stood up and stood in front of me ‘what are you doing?’

‘Well, I wanna do you’ she said with a smirk, I chuckled and pulled her down on my lap so she was straddling me ‘I thought we already did that’ ‘well, you're very hard to resist mister Haner’ ‘oh really?’ ‘Mhm!’ she hummed happily, I smiled and kissed her as I rested my hands on her hips, she wrapped her arms around my neck as we started to make out. ‘oh, I’ll just leave you alone’ I heard softly and I pulled away to see Abby looking at us with a curious face, ‘what do you need Abby?’ Michelle asked, not bothering to get off of me ‘um, I kind of need that thing that you use once a month’ she whispered as her face turned a deep red and she looked down at her shoes.

Michelle got off of me quickly and walked over to Abby, they whispered for a little bit and Abby nodded then walked away and back upstairs. Michelle sighed and turned to look at me ‘I forgot we were raising a teenager’ she laughed and I smiled as I realized what they were whispering about, she came back over to me and straddled me again wrapping her arms back around my neck,

I set my hands on her hips and smiled at her, she smiled back and started kissing my neck softly ‘babe’ I whispered and she pulled away to look at me ‘do you really think we should do this with Abby home?’ ‘Why not? It’s not like I'm loud’ ‘I know but-‘ ‘no buts, I’ll make you dinner after we finish’ she smiled and I couldn’t help but smile at her, she knew me all too well so I nodded and took her up to our room and laid her out on the bed.

I had just finished bedding my wife when a soft knock came to the door ‘hold on!’ Michelle called and she got up and slipped on her robe that she kept on the end of the bed, she tied it closed and walked over to the door to open it ‘yes?’ she asked and I didn’t hear anything that Abby said ‘ok, I’ll be down to make dinner in a few minutes’ she said and then closed the door after a second or two ‘what did she want?’ ‘dinner’ ‘oh ok’ I nodded and she did also then walked into the bathroom and I watch as she stood in front of the mirror to put her hair up then she walked back into the bed room and slipped off her robe, slid her panties back on and pulled on my shirt from earlier.

She walked over to me and kissed me then walked over to the door and went down to make dinner. I got up and walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower, I set out a towel then got in the shower and started to rinse the smell of sex off of me with my axe body wash. When I finished everything I stepped out and walked over to my towel to dry off, I dried my hair then wrapped the towel around my waist and walked back into my bed room ‘daddy?’ I heard from the doorway,

I saw Abby standing there with her hands over her eyes, I laughed and walked over to her and pulled her hands away from her face ‘what is it baby?’ ‘Dinners ready’ she whispered and I nodded ‘I’ll be down in a minute ok?’ I said and she nodded then turned and walked back down the steps. I pulled on some boxers, pj pants and a black shirt then walked down into the kitchen where Abby and Michelle were talking a little ‘there you are’ Michelle said and I smiled and kissed her, she kissed back then handed me my plate of food.

I took it and walked over to the table and sat at the head of it like always, Abby sat on my right and Michelle sat on my left. Dinner was quiet, but it was good as always ‘I think tomorrow were gonna go get you a cell phone Abby’ Michelle said and Abby just looked at her and kinda nodded ‘then we can go get you some more clothes and other things you might need ok?’ she said again, and again, Abby just nodded and continued eating. Michelle looked at me a little hurt but I just shrugged ‘Abby?’ I asked and she looked over at me with those beautiful gray eyes ‘are you ok?’ I asked and she nodded

‘my arm and tummy hurt’ she whispered and I nodded then looked over at Michelle ‘I’ll go get you something ok?’ she said and Abby nodded as she pushed her plate away signaling that she was finished ‘I heard you’ she whispered, I looked over at her with a worried face, she was looking at her hands ‘Abby’ I sighed but she shook her head ‘it’s fine’ she whispered again and I was about to say something else but Michelle came back with some Advil ‘here take two of these and if you're still up in four hours take another two ok?’ she said and Abby nodded, took the pills then took her plate and walked into the kitchen to put her dish in the sink ‘she heard us’ I said and Michelle looked at me with wide eyes ‘but, she-‘ ‘she heard us’ I said again then stood and walked away.

I don’t know why I got mad but I just did, sex is something private to me and I knew I shouldn’t have done anything with Abby in the house. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a beer then walked into the basement and started fucking with my guitar, I ended up finishing the song I had been getting frustrated with over the last few days

‘Brian?’ I heard and I looked up to see Michelle standing there in shorts and a tank top ‘what?’ ‘are you coming to bed? It’s passed 11’ she said and I looked at my phone to see that it was about 11:23 ‘yeah I'm coming’ I nodded as I set my guitar back on the stand and walked over to her, I shut off the lights and watched Michelle’s ass as we walked up the steps and into the kitchen, we walked into the living room then up the steps after making sure everything was locked. I opened Abby’s door softly to see that she was curled into a ball under the covers and it didn’t look like she was having any nightmares so I shut off her bed side lamp and walked back out and over to my bedroom.
