Lost
Chapter 5- Roommates
I've only been in Huntington Beach for a day and I already have 3 great friends and an amazing brother Something I've always wanted. Jimmy and I are together in my hotel room looking for available apartments and duplexes to live. We want a decent looking place for a cheap price. I'm sure there's something like it out here.
“Should we get a two bedroom just to satisfy my brother?” I laugh.
“Yeah I guess we should.”
I smile, looking over at him.
“We can always pretend we're using two bedrooms.”
“Hmm that's true,” he smirks.
“Do you want to share a room with me?”
“Well... I mean you are hot. I-I mean awesome. And we have a lot in common.”
I giggle at his hot comment and gently nudge him with my shoulder.
“What's your honest opinion of me, Jim? I'm curious.” I have to ask because of the way he's acting.
He looks at me and turns red.
“Well, I-I...”
I smile at him and he stares at me before grabbing me and pulling me to him for a kiss. I'm quite surprised at first, but I instantly return the kiss and move so I'm sitting on his lap. We kiss for a couple minutes before he finally pulls back to look at me.
“Does that answer your question?”
I nod, biting my lip.
“I like you a whole lot, Becca. I asked you if you had a boyfriend for a reason. And if you don't mind... could I possibly take you on a date some time?”
I blush, nodding my head with a smile.
“I'd love to.”
“Great,” he grins.
I smile and climb off of his lap.
“Shall we continue looking for places?”
“Yes.”
He smiles at me and grabs the paper.
“I think we should do a duplex. We can buy the property and then rent the other side out to someone else.”
“Hey that's not a bad idea. I actually have plenty of money to do that.”
“Yeah and with me being in a band, the money I make from gigs would be put to use to.”
I smile widely and nod my head.
“That's an awesome idea, Jim. And with us renting out the other side, we'll make money that way too.”
“Exactly.”
“We could always rent it out to someone we know so we can trust them to pay us every month.”
“Yes that's true.”
“So let's search for duplexes for sale and then call the realtor to talk about our idea.”
“Sounds good.”
We look through all the places and finally find the perfect duplex that's for sale.
“Let's call the number and set up a date and time to meet with them and check the place out.”
“Good idea.”
Jimmy smiles and calls the number of the realtor.
“Hi. My name is Jimmy and I saw a duplex in the paper that's for sale and my friend and I would like to chat with you about buying the property? … Yeah that would be great. When are you available to meet? … Okay Wednesday sounds great. We'll see you then. Thank you.”
He hangs up and smiles at me.
“She said we can meet her at the property on Wednesday around 2 so she can show us around and so we can talk about a down payment if we like the place.”
“Awesome! I can't wait.”
“Me too.”
I smile and hug him tightly.
“I can't wait. This is going to be awesome.”
“It is,” he smiles.
“We should tell the others. See if any of them would wanna rent the other half of the duplex.”
“Or... we could wait to rent it out for a while.”
He smirks at me, lightly running his finger up my thigh. I bite my lip, looking down at his finger and watching as goosebumps form on my leg.
“Yeah I guess we could wait a bit.”
“Mmhmm.”
