Love Thy Vengeance

‘Electra! Are you ready yet?’ ‘oh I'm coming!’ ‘hurry up!’ Matt yelled, I rolled my eyes and finished zipping up my suit case, I looked in my back pack and made sure I had everything then headed downstairs and outside where the bus was waiting, yes were going on tour to finish Nightmare and to promote Hail To The King. It was going to be my first tour and I was very excited and very nervous, I think right now I was more excited though. We loaded everything up then we were on our way to where ever the hell we were going but I'm sure it was going to be fun, for me at least. ‘ok this is your bunk but if you wanna sleep with me you can, we can’t use the shower on here and no going number 2 and I think that covers it’ Zack said as he showed me around,

I nodded and leaned up to kiss him, he kissed back and smiled down at me ‘so what do you wanna do?’ he asked as we walked back into the back sitting area, I shrugged and sat on his lap ‘wanna watch a movie?’ ‘sure, do you wanna ask the others to join or no?’ ‘yeah I’ll ask’ he said and I nodded then got off his lap and started looking through the movies, I decided on 28 weeks later because I liked this one better. Zack walked back in with the guys behind him and we all sat and watched movies until we stopped to get some food which was maybe, 4 or 5 hours later then we were back on the road and it’s a good thing I didn’t get motion sick.

We had just gotten to our first venue and we were a little late so we had to rush through sound check then we were rushed into the back as the kids were let in, the concert started at 9 and it was already about 8:30ish ‘are you ready Lex?’ Johnny asked as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, I nodded a little as I gripped and un-gripped my drum sticks. They told me all of their pre-show rituals which I was now a part of and soon we were going on stage to the deafening sound of thousands of fans. ‘how the fuck is everybody doing tonight!’ Matt screamed into the mic as he walked the stage back and forth, they screamed at him, he talked a little bit more then we started with the music.

After about two songs Matt started talking again ‘well I wanted to introduce you guys to our new drummer’ he said and he got a very mixed audience, some booed, some cheered, but Matt kept talking ‘HER name is Electra’ he said then pointed at me, I stood up and waved a little then sat back down ‘awww she’s being shy you guys. Don’t worry, she’s a feisty little thing and by little I mean she’s shorter then Johnny’ he laughed and I threw my drum stick at him ‘hey!’ ‘I told you not to make me mad’ I laughed and he laughed also and I was handed another pair of sticks. We finished up the night and went back stage to rest for a bit and shower ‘wanna shower with me?’ I asked Zack and he bit his lip and nodded, I pulled him into the Avenged dressing room and we took a quick shower together, got dressed and walked back out.

The other guys had their showers and we walked outside and they signed some things while I just kinda stood there, no one knew me yet so I wasn’t expecting people to want my autograph. ‘Electra! Electra!’ I heard being yelled and I lifted my head to see a girl about maybe 16 waving me over so I walked over to her and smiled ‘hey’ ‘you are so awesome, will you sign this!?’ ‘wow thanks, of course I will’ I smiled and took her book and sharpie ‘what’s your name?’ ‘Amber!’ ‘ok’ I laughed a little and signed the paper then gave them back to her ‘thank you soooo much’ ‘you're welcome hun’ ‘Lex!’ I heard and I looked over at Johnny ‘we have to go’ ‘ok’ I nodded and hugged the girl then ran off with my boys.

Dear god tours been intense, I loved it though, it was amazing. Right now we were on our way back to CA for a signing, then an interview and then we could finally go home. ‘you ready baby?’ Zack asked as he walked up to me from the front of the bus, I nodded and stood up making sure I had everything then we walked to the front together after a kiss and we all walked into the building and took our seats. They started letting the kids in 10 minutes later and Matt and Brian had the longest lines, I had a few people, mostly girls telling me that they wanted to be just like me and play the drums

‘hi I'm Rain and I just love you!’ the girl said and I smiled up at her ‘will you signed my shirt?’ ‘sure hun’ I said and stood up, we both leaned over the table and I sighed her black shirt with a silver sharpie ‘thank you so much’ ‘you're welcome, have a good day’ I smiled and said happily, she nodded as she left and the next person came up to me, she was very pregnant ‘you're about to pop’ I laughed and she nodded ‘ugh I know I'm so over this’ she chuckled and I laughed a little more ‘will you signed my tummy?’ ‘yeah sure, can I feel?’ ‘sure, it’s my first, it’s a boy!’ ‘no way that’s awesome!’ I said as I leaned over and signed the side of her tummy then felt her little boy kick me ‘ahhh I'm so excited! Now go home and rest!’ I demanded and she nodded with a smile and walked away. ‘are you having fun?’ I heard being whispered in my ear, I nodded and smiled over at Zack, he smiled back then kissed me

‘AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW’ we heard and I pulled away laughing, I looked out to the crowd and some girls were glaring at me and others just looked really happy to be there. I sighed a few more things for guys and took pictures with them then a girl came up to me and she had her arms crossed and didn’t look very happy but I kept being nice ‘hello, would you like me to sign something?’ ‘no, I just wanted to tell you that I think you're horrible and I think you're a bitch for trying to replace Jimmy because you could never replace him’ she said and I nodded ‘I'm not trying to’ ‘yes you fucking are you dumb bitch, I hope you die and rot in hell!’ she yelled then spit right in my face. ‘oh my god baby’ I heard Zack say as he took my hand and walked me into the bathroom, I washed my face and re-did my make up real fast then we walked back out. I haven’t spoken yet because I didn’t wanna either blow up on Zack or start crying, I didn’t know which one would happen.

We finished the signing without any more problems and we walked over to where the interview was being held, it was going to be outside with some fans and we’d all be sitting on couches and what not. ‘baby are you sure you're ok?’ ‘yeah I'm fine, I just don’t understand why someone would do that’ ‘I don’t either’ Zack said and hugged me tight, I hugged back and we kissed a few times and it was our time to go out on stage. People were yelling and screaming at us as we took our seats, it was Matt, me, Johnny, Zack and Brian. ‘welcome welcome’ the woman said, we all said hi or whatever and she started with the questions. I hadn’t answered anything so far, I was just kinda chillin ‘so Electra, I've heard from a little birdy that you don’t wear clothes while preforming’ she said and I laughed a little as Johnny handed me the mic

‘no I wear clothes. I'm usually in a sports bra or muscle shirt and shorts because I have this thing where if I get to hot to fast I’ll throw up and pass out so I try to keep as cool as possible’ ‘ahh ok, now how was it meeting these guys for the first time? Did they welcome you with open arms?’ ‘well, not really. I got a call saying that someone named Mike wanted me to come out and play the drums for a band that he had and I was like ok whatever’ ‘you didn’t know it was them?’ ‘no I didn’t know who it was so when I got there and they told me that I had to play for Avenged Sevenfold I refused to do it. I mean I know what it’s like to lose your best friend and I didn’t wanna come in there and be like ‘yeah I'm replacing him’ when I'm not. I could never ever replace Jimmy. So I played a few songs for them’ ‘she played the first four songs of Bat County without any type of music’ Matt chimed in and I rolled my eyes

‘anyway, I finished playing that and when I walked out I heard Matt ask them if they were ready to even take the step to have a new drummer so I told them, I said, when you're ready than call me and I left’ ‘wow you left just like that?’ she asked and I nodded ‘I didn’t know where the hell I was going because I'm from the east coast but I actually ended up in front of Jimmy’s headstone and I told him that Mike wanted me to be the new drummer for the band and I asked him to give me a sign that it was ok and I shit you not, I swear to you this huge chill ran down my spine and I looked up and saw Jimmy standing there smiling at me telling me that it was ok to keep making music with Avenged and I told him that he needed to let them know that he said it was ok and a few minutes later I was getting the call to come back so I did and I've been here since’ I explained to everyone and she nodded

‘so you said that you know what it’s like to lose your best friend?’ ‘yeah, I don’t really wanna talk about it but I know the mindset that they’re in and it’s hard, it really is because when you go through something like that you just can’t do anything anymore. I could barely wake up every morning let alone have to finish an album then go on tour then this and that and I'm just glad that I can be here to help them when they need me to’ ‘awwwwwwww isn’t she sweet guys?!’ ‘YES!’ the crowd yelled and I laughed. ‘so we know these guys are coved in ink, do you have any ink that we can’t see?’ ‘well I have my arm, my leg and I have my lower tummy and I wanna get my back done’ ‘what do you have on your tummy and can we see it?’ she smiled and I nodded and stood up. I pushed down my shorts a little and lifted my shirt to reveal music notes going across my lower tummy right above my hips ‘what song is it?’

‘Almost Easy’ I said then sat back down next to Johnny, she nodded and other questions went around and I was off the hook for a while. We were almost done, thank god because I'm right in the sun, right now we were taking fan questions ‘Electra, people have said you're shorter then Johnny, is that true and how tall are you?’ ‘yes it’s true and I'm only about 4’11’ ‘wow’ the interviewer said ‘yeah, now I can make the short jokes’ Johnny said and I rolled my eyes ‘well why don’t you guys stand next to each other and show us’ ‘ok’ we said and I slipped my shoes off and we stood back to back ‘wow look at that! You're so little!’ Matt said then he stood up and towered over me ‘yeah I know, how’s the weather up there?’ I asked and he smirked at me, I smirked back and we all sat down and I pulled my shoes back on as we took a few more questions. After that we signed some things, and said good byes to the interviewer then went out to lunch and went home.
