*~*Kamalei’s POV*~*

“Lei-Lei! Wake up!”

“Shhh Jimmy. Let her sleep. She looked so exhausted today, she needs it.”

“But Val….”

“No Jim. Come on. We’ll wake her up around dinner time if she doesn’t get up by then.”

“Fine…”

I thought I was dreaming when I woke up and cracked one eye open seeing Val and Jimmy in the hallway talking in hushed voices. I closed my eyes again, turning my body away from the door before realizing I had my phone in my hand still. I opened the screen and was met with Zacky’s piercing green eyes and adorable smile, with an arm around me in front of my aunt’s house. I smiled at it before glancing over to my vanity mirror, seeing the chosen pictures that were stuck into the sides. Pictures from inside the cave, Matt and I with my mom, Kelly and Val with me when we all went out, and the last one was the first day I met my brother and Val had taken a picture of us. I rolled onto my back looking around at the beautiful room that my brother and his friends made for me. Looking at the clock, not much time had passed since I had fallen asleep and I wasn’t sure if I just wanted to lay here or get up and join everyone downstairs. I let my eyes wander to the rest of the pictures on the walls and took a deep breath seeing all of my family pictures. I even noticed Matt had taken the old photos that I had first showed him and framed them and put them in the middle of a big cluster frame.

He knows I miss them. He knows it’s hard for me. I love my brother so much. My brother will always take care of me. I don’t know why I always worried…

I heard footsteps quietly padding down the hallway to my bedroom. I turned my head over to see Zacky peek around the door frame, his green eyes seeming to light up a little when he saw me awake.

“Hey. I was just coming to check on you. Jimmy and Val said you were asleep… I’ll let you go back to sleep if you want.” He said softly coming over and sitting on the edge of the bed.

“No it’s ok. I was just looking at the beautiful job you guys did making my room. Thank you so much for doing this for me.” I thanked him.

“You deserve the best Lei. I’m glad you like it. Your brother sucks at decorating. You’re lucky Brian and I have style otherwise all of this would look like crap.” He joked lightly.

I scooted over on my large bed, patting the space next to me for him to lie down too. He turned and lied down on his stomach next to me, smiling when he accidently hit my phone the screen opening and showing our picture.

“Good day.” He smirked as I propped up a little on the pillows.

“In the end it was. It was not a total good day…” I trailed off.

“You’re right. I’m sorry about that, Lei. Can you ever forgive me?” he said pulling his eyes from the screen to look at me.

“I already did Zee. Don’t worry about it.” I told him as I pulled my little tiger out from under me, “Now, what are we going to name this little guy?”

“We?” he asked surprised.

“Yes, we. You bought him for me so you get a say too. I’m the mommy and you’re the daddy.” I giggled lightly.

His eyes went wide as he laughed, “Woah, girl. We got babies up in here now? Your brother is gonna really hate that.”

“Tough. He’ll have to get over it.” I said as I pulled the little tags off the tiger.

“What did you want to name it?” He asked me as he leaned on his hand.

“I’m bad at the names. That’s why I need your help. Otherwise it’s just gonna be named baby.”

“Baby it is then.” He said petting the stuffed tiger, “Aww daddy loves little baby.”

I laughed as we played house with Baby, making silly things up and cuddling it like it was alive. Zacky had Baby and was playing around with it before accidently dropping it to the other side of the bed. Without hesitation he crawled halfway across my body, his bottom half still on the other side of the bed as he leaned over the bed and grabbed Baby. I winced a little at the movement on my fractured rib, grabbing his attention as he pulled back, instantly supporting his weight on his outstretched arms on either side of my head.

“Are you ok? I’m sorry. I kinda forgot.” He said as he looked down at me.

“Yeah. It’s alright Zee.” I responded smiling up at him.

“You’re so beautiful when you smile.” He whispered quietly as he handed Baby to me and brushed his fingertips against my cheek.

I could feel my face get hot and I looked away from him as he hovered over me, “Thank you Zee but stop it. You’re very handsome yourself you know?”

“Oh am I now?” He smirked.

“You know you are. Don’t pretend. It’s hard to even…” I started to say but quickly cut myself off.

“Hard to even what?” he asked.

“Nothing.”

“No, what? Tell me. I’m your best friend right?” he said still holding himself up over me.

“Yeah... it’s just it’s hard to even keep from wanting to kiss you.” I blurted out quickly, feeling the deep blush in my cheeks.

He leaned down, whispering in my ear, “Then don’t.”, before he lightly kissed my neck.

I drew in a sharp breath as he moved his body over mine, sliding his leg between mine and pressing his lips to mine. I let Baby fall to my side as I reached up and put one hand behind his neck, pulling him closer to me, the other hand wrapping around his side roaming his back. I moaned softly as his tongue trailed my bottom lip asking for the invitation which I gladly gave him. He tasted like beer and cigarettes, which turned me on even more for some reason. I slipped my hand up his shirt, touching his hot skin with my bare hands, feeling every muscle in his back. One of his hands slid down my body lightly, resting on my hip bone where he gently rubbed circles as he slowly slipped his fingers under my tank top, feeling my skin. I started to panic slightly and my breathing changed drastically, and I knew Zacky noticed as he pulled away slowly.

“Are you okay? Do you want me to stop?” he lightly panted, genuinely concerned.

“I… I don’t know.” I stuttered.

He rolled over onto his side, pulling me gently with him until I was perfectly wedged into his side, wrapping me in his tattooed arms and kissing my forehead as I looked at him.

“Okay.” He muttered before letting his eyes softly close and humming a song to himself.

“What?” I asked him after a minute.

He cracked his eye open and smiled at me, “What what?”

“I don’t know. It was just a strange reaction to my unknowingness…” I replied.

He laughed lightly, “You have say some funny stuff sometimes you know? You didn’t know so I decided I would just make the decision for you. If you’re unsure of anything, I take that as a stopping point. I told you, I don’t want to push you into anything you aren’t completely comfortable with. I shouldn’t have even kissed you just now.”

He started chewing on one of his lip rings as he seemed to kind of stare off into space a little before I spoke, snapping his attention back, “It’s ok Zee. It’s actually better than okay. I wanted you to. You’re a good kisser.”

I reached behind me and grabbed Baby, snuggling him between Zacky and I.

We laid there cuddled up for another minute, “You’re a good kisser too.” After another few minutes he asked, “Am I making this too complicated?”

“Too complicated?” I questioned, not sure what he meant.

“Yeah. I feel like I’m making things harder for you to figure out. Maybe it’d be better if we didn’t spend so much time together. Then you can sort out how you feel without-” he said before I crashed my lips into his, shutting him up.

I pulled away slowly, “I don’t want to stop hanging out with you my Zacky boy…” I said pushing some of his hair from his face.

“I know that I feel comfortable with you more than anyone else. I don’t want that to ever change.” I said snuggling back into him.

He tightened his hold on me, “Me either.”

We had been so wrapped up in each other and our conversation that we never heard Matt come trudging up the stairs and to the bedroom. He stood in the doorway and cleared his throat loudly.

“What is going on in here?” he asked.

“Matt! We have a baby!” I yelled.

I watched the color drain from my brother’s face, “WHAT?!?!”

I held up Baby as Zacky and I burst into fits of laughter at Matt’s expression.

“It’s our baby Matt. I’m the mommy and Zacky is the daddy.” I said cheerily.

“How and the fuck does it work out that Zack is the daddy?” he asked me after relaxing at the fact that there was no ACTUAL baby.

“Zacky bought him for me so he’s the daddy.” I smiled.

“Ok. Whatever… come down. I have something else for you remember?” Matt said shaking his head at my silliness as he walked away.

“Okie dokie.” I said waiting for Zacky to release his hold on me, which I had to actually suggest, “Zee? I think we should go…”

“Oh, yeah. Sorry. I was comfy with you like this…” he said pulling me to him and kissing my forehead one more time before letting me roll out of his arms.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him up from the bed and out of the room. We went downstairs to find everyone in the backyard, my brother at the grill and the rest of the crew relaxing on the patio furniture. I was still holding Zacky’s hand when Val stopped us in the kitchen before we stepped outside making our presence known.

“You might want to let go. Matt probably wouldn’t like that…” She said gesturing at our hands.

Zacky quickly pulled his hand back and shoved it in his pocket. I made my way to the fridge and grabbed a beer out for me and him, handing him one as we made our way outside.

“Finally. Go sit over there on the chair. I’m gonna go get it…” Matt told me, handing the tongs to the grill to Brian.

I sat on the lawn chair he pointed to, Zacky scooting in to sit behind me. I took another sip of my beer as Zacky covered my eyes with his hands.

“Hey! Zee!”

“Shh. It’s a surprise Lei.” Zacky replied, “Hurry up Matt.”

“Ok. Now.” Matt said as Zacky removed his hands from my eyes.

Sitting in front of me was a brand new laptop. I looked up at my brother who seemed just as excited as I was. I jumped up from my seat and hugged him around his neck.

“Thank you so much Matt! It’s so awesome! Why would you give me this though? It’s probably expensive and I don’t deserve this.” I said as I released him and ran my hands over the keys.

“You do deserve it. I got it for you because I know you don’t have one and you’re going to need one when we are on tour. How else are you going to Skype your mom? Plus I figured it would give you something else to do when we are on the busses and stuff. You like it?”

“I love it! Thank you Matt!” I replied.

“Good. I made sure there was plenty of space on it so you can download music and movies and whatever else you want on it.”

“I’m going to go put it in my room for now. I don’t want it to get hurt.” I said gathering it up in my arms.

Matt chuckled, “You are so weird girl… ‘I don’t want it to get hurt.’ That’s almost as crazy as you and Zacky’s baby!”

“WHAT!?!” everyone screamed out.

“Don’t you guys know about our beautiful love child? He’s adorable.” Zacky said stifling a laugh.

I couldn’t help but burst into laughter as soon as Zacky and I made eye contact. I was laughing so hard I almost dropped my brand new laptop. I set it down on the chair as we laughed at everyone’s crazy expressions.

“You can’t be serious? Matt would kill both of you.” Johnny said.

“Of course we aren’t serious Johnny… it’s a stuffed animal I got her. He’s our love child named Baby.” Zacky replied, grabbing my hand in between laughing.

“Holy shit. I would have been really mad if you had a love child you were keeping from me…” Kelly said giggling.

“Never my love. You’d be the first to know…” I said as I picked up my laptop and made my way in the house.
