Brother and Sister.

The repition went really fine, the guys had already their band's name : Lips of Deceit. Which was pretty cool. Brian didn't take attention of me while he was playing guitar. He would always get into his world while playing guitar. When all the guys were done fixing back the couches and the amps, I stood up and made my way out of the room.


“Hayley, wait!” I heard someone behind me. I tunred myself and saw Dameon in front of me.

“What?” I asked.

“I was wondering if you would go out with me to the open house party, next friday.”

I was so surprised by his question, that I really didn't know how to react at all. I stayed there, frozen.

“Hum...” I said trying to find my words.

“I'll take that as a yes! I'll take you at 7h.” He said quiclky as he kissed my cheek. Wow, that guy was incredible. I closed my eyes and shook my head trying to realize what just happened. When I opened them again, I saw Brian, closing his guitar case, but still looking at me. He didn't look happy at all. Everyone passed in front of him and went out of the room, Brian was the last one to go out. He stopped himself in front of me and said.

“Already an other date.. Hope you're not going to flash them too..” He looked down at my chest, disappointed. He then passed in front of me, walking away.

“How can you even say that?!” I yelled at him. He knew like me, that this wasn't only for flashing them. This was much more than just that.

Brian stopped walking and sighed, he didn't return himself, just kept being quiet

“This isn't a date, I didn't even have time to answer that he ran away.” I sighed. “Believe me, please?”

He didn't say anything but just sighed again and started walking away. I made my way back to my room As soon as I entered, Val asked me.

“We're going out, you coming?”

“Brian's even more mad now... Will he be there?” I sighed, laying down onto my bed.

“Is it about Dameon, and yeah, he will probably be there...” I nodded and sat back on my bed.

“This guy's so annoying! I never had a guy around me and now it really has to be in the wrong moment...” I said as I rubbed my face into my hand.

“Yeah I know...” She paused herself and then continued. “Just try to ignore him. Now it's time to get you ready!”

Yeah... going out on a monday evening, welcome to the college life! To be honest, I really needed this, Brian there or not, I just needed to chill out some time. I got myself ready, I wore casual stuff, cause yeah.. we weren't going to club, only drink some beers on a monday evening. When we arrived, all the guys were already there, sitting on a couch, already drinking their beers, I sat next to Dameon.. well, not because I wanted too, because there was no other places available. Brian was in front of me, sitting on the same couch as Matt and Val, Zacky was sitting on the couch's arm and Jimmy was sitting next to Dameon on the same couch as me.

“Here's for you lady.” Dameon smiled to me, giving me a buck of beer.

“Thanks...” I said shyly as I took the buck. Brian didn't quit staring at us, quietly.

“No problem.” He winked at me.

Before I could even noticed it, I felt his arm around my shoulder. I didn't say anything. Too shy to push him away. I looked at Brian, uncomfortable. I could see his jaw clenching under his hand. The conversation between the other guys was still going on. Brian was the only one that didn't say a word at all. By the time, Dameon's hand came even closer to my chest. He probably didn't noticed it cause he was into the conversation in the same time. Well let's say Brian noticed it. He started bouncing his legs, without patience, he let out a big sigh. I tried to move and get out of his arm but he always kept me closer, still not looking at me, talking to the other guys. I looked at Brian who took a big sip of his beer and stood up.

“Get of her.” He said as he came closer to us.

Everyone stopped talking and looked at the scene.

“What the fuck dude?” Dameon said, taking his defense.

“Don't you see, she's uncomfortable.” Brian said, trying to look calm as possible.

“Well, if she would, then she would have told me already, right Hayley?” Dameon said laughing into Brian's face. He looked then at me. They were waiting for my answer.

“I..” I tried to find my words but I was so schocked by the situation that it was really hard. I just stood up shyly as an answer. Dameon instantly understood, I made my way to the washroom, not looking behind me cause I knew that he would get pissed off. I closed the women's washroom door and took a breath. I didn't know how he would react when I would go back.

I opened back the door and fell into someone's arm accidently, Brian's arms to be more specific. We stayed there for a second and then placed ourself normally again. He was the first to talk.

“I just wanted to see if you were okay...” He said soflty.

“Yeah, thanks a lot about that...” I crossed my arms onto my chest and shivered.

“I know sometimes you hesitate to say what you really think.. Hopefully, I know you.” He said as he smiled.

“Yeah...” An awkard silence came between us.

“Well.. I guess.. I... I have to go to the washroom too...” Brian said strangely as he ran away in the boy's washroom.
