Becca slowly opened her eyes. The last thing she remembered was immense pain and then blacking out instantly. She didn't feel any pain at the moment though. She looked around and saw that she was laying in a field of flowers. The hell? Am I dreaming? She sat up and rubbed her eyes. After they adjusted better to the bright light that was blinding her, she saw that she was in fact sitting in a field of flowers.

“How the fuck did I get here?”
“You were hit by a car. You're in a coma.”

Becca froze. She recognized that voice anywhere.

“Jimmy?”

She stood up in the spot she was laying and standing two feet away from her was Jimmy. He smiled at her and she let out a sob before running to him and jumping into his arms.

“Jimmy!”
“Hey baby.”

She clung to him tightly, so tight that she squeezed the breath right out of him.

“I miss you,” she sobbed.
“I miss you too.”
“Why am I here?”
“Because I need to talk to you.”
“About what?”
“Kylie.”

Jimmy never referred to Kylie as Tippi. He thought it was a weird nickname and just called her by her real name.

“What about her?” Becca sniffled.
“Everything she said to you just before you left was one hundred percent true.”
“Even the part about you having her make a promise?”
“Yes. All of it. Baby, I knew I wasn't going to be on Earth for very long and I knew that the one person that I could trust to take my place when I was gone is Kylie. She loves you with all of her heart. She's loved you for very long and I feel guilty that I stole you from her. I saw the way she looks at you. It's pure love and adoration. And I also know that deep down you're still in love with her as well. You can't hide from it, Becca. You need to do what your heart wants and what your heart wants is to be with Kylie. I know it is.”
“But I married you...”
“And I'm gone. Never coming back. I hate to say that to you because I know it's going to hurt you, but it's true. You need to accept it and move on. For me. I want you to be happy and I know that Kylie is the only person that will make you happy just as much as I did.”
“Okay... Will I ever see you again after this?”
“Only in your dreams and when your time to go does finally arrive, which won't happen for many many years.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too. I always have.”
“I promise you that I will move on and be happy. For you.”
“Thank you. Please, do what your heart is telling you to do. I know for a fact that you're still in love with Kylie. You just can't see it because you're hiding behind the emotional pain of losing me. Move on and you'll see just how in love with her you still are.”

Becca nodded. She couldn't believe all of this was happening. Seeing Jimmy again made her happy. It had been four years since she last saw him and those four years were dreadful.

“You have to go back now. It's been two days since your accident and you need to wake up before any of them decide to pull the plug. You don't have to tell anyone about this. It'll be just between you and me.”
“I'm gonna miss you, Jimmy.”
“I'm always with you, Becca. I'm by your side every day. That feeling you get when you wake up from a nightmare is me comforting you. Just as I always have. I've been with you since the day I died and I'm never leaving. Maybe knowing now that I'm always with you will put your mind at ease and you can easily move on.”
“You're the best, Jimmy. You always have been. I feel so much better knowing that you're with me every single day.”
“Always have been, always will be.”

Becca smiled and Jimmy pulled her into a comforting embrace. She hugged him tightly and rested her head against his chest. She didn't want to leave yet. She wanted to enjoy this moment while it was still there. She looked up at him, a single tear falling from her light brown eyes. He smiled and wiped them away before leaning down and giving her one last kiss.

“I love you, but you need to go.”
“I love you too. Okay. Will you give me some sort of a sign when I wake up that you're there?”
“Yes. I promise you I will.”
“Thank you.”

He nodded and gave her one last smile before disappearing right before her eyes. She sighed, looking around. I don't even know how I'm supposed to wake up.

“Lay down, close your eyes, and concentrate on waking up. That'll work.”

Becca smiled and did as told. She laid down, closed her eyes, and concentrated on waking up.

“Thank you, Jesus.”

She kept concentrating and soon enough she was awake in her hospital bed. She felt a hand on her shoulder and she knew instantly Jimmy was there as promised. She smiled. Now all she needed was to find the call button and get a doctor in there to let them know she was alive and okay.

Notes

I decided to be a nice person and post the next chapter so you didn't have to suffer with that cliff hanger. Lol. Anyways, I hope I didn't make anybody cry with this chapter because I certainly cried just writing it. God I broke my own heart. :'( Anyways, let me know what you guys think. :)
