Life According To Amber Lynn Haner

*Amber's POV*

On my third day at the hospital, it was a Monday, and Danny came to visit me after school. I was delighted to see him, as I hadn't seen him since the concert, as he couldn't make it up to see me yesterday. He let the teachers know that I'll be out for the next two weeks, and he'll get any homework that he can for me, so as that I don't fall behind.

Danny came at around half past four, and Dad said he'd buzz off and give Danny and I time to ourselves. He didn't go too far though, and I think he just ended up going to the local store because I wanted food that wasn't chicken soup.

I was sitting in my hospital bed, and Danny was sitting on one of the plastic chairs next to me, and we were just talking about stuff that was light-hearted, mainly about how his brother's band were coming along good, though they still didn't have a name. Other topics included the weather, Duck Dynasty, GTA5 and also school.

Our grade were going on this big-ass trip up to LA, for no apparent reason. It sounded fun though, and Danny gave me my permission letter and a proposal of being his partner for the trip. I agreed, on the condition that he owes me 6 packets of Skittles (I'm desperate).

The trip isn't until December 20th, as its the last day of school before the Christmas holidays. We've to be at the school mega early (6:30am, in fact (I'm never even up that early)), but Danny reckons it'll all be worth it, as we can pretty much do what we want, and maybe sneake off on our own for a bit to do whatever we want to. I was up for that idea, because who knows what'll happen?

"Did you hear that Buck and Amelia split up?" Danny asked, and I shook my head.

"They did?" I replied, and sighed. They were forever doing that.

"Yeah, it's all over fucking Facebook and Instagram. Apparently, according to the rumours going around, she was seen getting pretty close with Marc Evans, and Buck split up from her."

"She was a slut anyways."

"I suppose she was. She got sent home this morning for wearing shorts that were halfway up her ass, and a top that was basically a bra or some shit like that. How her mum lets her out like that I'll never know."

"If my dad caught me going out like that, he'd march me back up the stairs and tell me to actually put some clothes on. He's strict like that."

"He's right though, I mean, I wouldn't fancy meeting up with a girl who's dressed like a hooker. Clothes were obviously invented for a reason, and we should all obey that reason."

"You're so philosophical."

"I try my best."

"Hey, since you're here, can you do my homework with me? I haven't a clue what I'm doing."

Being the sweet guy that he is, Danny did in fact help me with my homework, and refused to leave till I was done. His mom then picked him up, and she gave me this Skelanimal that she said Danny picked out for me. That little statement caused his face to turn the colour of a raspberry, and he muttered something to her that I didn't quite manage to catch.

Dad came back in then, and we sat down to watch the whole first season of CSI Miami, although I didn't see the last few episodes, as I fell asleep (surprise, surprise). I've been going to sleep early these couple of nights as sleep is good for me, and I'm not complaining.

I just can't wait to get out of this place though, it's giving me the creeps.

Ok guys, I accidentally deleted Chapter 52, which was the day that Amber and Danny were supposed to be going on their date.

Long story short, Amber catches the flu, and Danny ends up coming over to hang out with her, while Brian fusses over Amber and makes sure she's ok after her temperature sky-rocketed.
