Life According To Amber Lynn Haner

No Really, You're About As Interesting As A Granola Bar

*Amber's POV*

I woke up at nine on Sunday with a banger of a headache, and I knew I was completely fucked. I passed out on my floor last night, and woke up on my bed, so I'm guessing Dad felt a slight bit of pity for me and flung me up on it. He's going to hate me at this point.

I stumbled into the shower and scrubbed up my appearance, so as I looked the tiniest bit better for when my father decides to ground me until I'm 65 years old. When I was dressed and had my makeup sorted, I cautiously treaded down the stairs, trying to look better than I felt.

"Well don't you look great." Dad commented sarcastically when I went into the kitchen. I noticed Ash was gone, and I'm guessing he went home.

"I feel it!" I replied weakly, trying but failing to sound as if I'm not hungover at fourteen and a half years of age.

"How much did you drink?"

"I don't know what you're-"

"Oh knock it off, Amber. It's clear to see that you're hungover. How much did you drink?"

"Two and a half bottles.."

"Amber! I warned you about that before we left! Do you ever fucking listen?"

"Calm down, loads of the kids at school are drinking vodka and Jack Daniels, so what I did was MILD compared to them!"

"That's besides the point. You ignored the rules I gave you, and that hurts in a way. What am I going to do with you?"

"I don't know.."

"Gimme your phone, your laptop and your iPod, and you're grounded." He sighed, putting his hands over his face.

"For how long?!" I screeched, sobering up real quick.

"I haven't decided." He was so casual about this, and I couldn't believe it. I stood there with my arms folded, and I just couldn't make head nor tail of it. My phone and my laptop were in the living room, and I haven't seen my iPod in months. Oh my god I just can't believe it.

"Are you for real?"

"Completely, it'll teach you not to ignore the rules I give you. Now get yourself some breakfast, we've to go to the studio for a while." He went off down into the basement, while I still stood there in shock. I don't even know when I'll get my phone back!

-----

We drove to the studio in silence, and I spent the whole time sulking like a small child. I'm ALWAYS on my phone, I always HAVE my phone with me. I'm never without my phone. This is torture already, and I only got it confiscated about an hour ago. My headache subsided, due to taking a couple of elcaselsor, but that's besides the point.

We met the guys in the studio, and I stalked off and sat in the corner, continuing to sulk and huff and slightly kick the coffee table with the corner of my white Converse. I was NOT in the mood for anybody at the moment.

"Whats the matter with Little Miss Sunshine over there?" Matt asked Dad, and I rolled my eyes.

"Took her phone and her laptop off her because of the state she was in last night. I'm not her favourite person right now." Dad replied to him, while I let out an over-dramatic sigh.

"Ouch! That's a killer. Don't worry, we'll entertain you." Zacky piped up, but I rolled my eyes again.

"You guys are as interesting as a bunch of granola bars, so I think I'll pass, thanks." I muttered, and they could literally feel that I wasn't in the mood for anybody right now.

"Get over it, Amber. You're acting like its the end of the world." Dad sighed, and I folded my arms.

"Because it is the end of the world for me, I love my phone, and I always like to have it with me. It has pictures of my mom and Gramps on it that I like to see, and when I have it with me I know they're close to me. I can't have that when you confiscate it from me!" I snapped. I knew that little point would win him over. The guys just stood there looking at us, their eyes flicking back and forth between Dad and I, like or words were a tennis game.

"I..fine. You can have your phone back within the next week, but you're still grounded for three weeks. That's as fair as I can go." Knowing him, he'd probably wait a week to give me my phone back.

"Fine." I huffed, and nothing more was said. They went about doing whatever they came here to do, and ended up talking about Sons Of Anarchy. I still sat in the corner sulking.

Notes

1 more week of school until my Halloween break! I'll have plenty more updates for you guys then!

That's so sweet, thank you <3 Ive already restarted writing on a different fic, and I'm writing twenty chapters and see how it goes. If it falls apart, I'll continue this one. If it gets a better review, I'll continue it. Thanks again for the kind words though, they mean much more then you could imagine <3 xx

Noooooo you can't restart. I love this fic just the way it is. ;~; you're an amazing writer. Don't think differently. Everyone has their insecurities. I'm insecure about my writing as well, but you're amazing at writing and 100 times better than any other people whose fics I read.
