Insignificant

"Oh my God. Seriously? Why the hell would you do that?"

I looked down and over to the grumpy sounding troll who sat beside me. "Because, Johnny. He ignored me all the way to meet Matt, all throughout breakfast, and then wouldn't come with me so we could leave. When Matt got there he talked a little to him, but as soon as he left he stopped talking again. He's been extremely rude, and acting like he's mad at me. Not even to mention what I said a second ago. I got up to leave, and he just sat there, staring at me. He wouldn't dare say one word, oh no, he's too fucking stubborn for that. I finally gave up and went to sit in the car. I waited for how long? 30, 45 minutes for that ass to get out there? Then on top of ALL of that, the second he got in he told me to drive. Just drive. Just fucking drive," I mocked. I had to stop to catch my breath and see if the gnome was keeping up with me. "I asked him why, and eventually he just started screaming as loud as he could. JUST FUCKING DRIVE! FUCKING DRIVE! It was crazy."
"Still not getting why you pepper sprayed him..."
"What do you mean??? He was a complete dick. Once we got to his house, he refused to get out of my damn car, so I had to do what I had to do."

Johnny leaned back on my couch, stretching his arms. He rested his head on his hands, continuing to wrap his mind around this. "I dunno, dude. Hah, he's pretty crazy sometimes, though. You know that."
"Yeah," I muttered, exhaling a grey cloud of smoke into the air around me. "I know." I stood, patting Johnny's knee. "Come on. I let's go do something. Make some music maybe." I began the walk down to my basement, hoping Johnny wasn't too lazy to follow me. The wooden staircase creaked and moaned as I put my feet on each step. My basement wasn't anything special. Just a boring case of stairs descending down into a dark room with concrete walls and flooring. I flicked on the light switch, and reached for the guitar leaning against the wall. "Johnaayyy!" I yelled.
"I'm here, I'm here."
"Good thing you keep a spare bass here, bro." I commented as I watched him pick up a silver instrument. We sat around for a while until we sank into the deep, dark hours of the night. It wasn't until Johnny got a phone call from Matt I was reminded of Brian. "Okay. Mhm. Okay cool. Yeah. Alright, bye." I wondered what he was doing. Maybe I shouldn't have pepper sprayed him, but he deserved something. He was a complete bitch for no reason. Maybe he knew I was lying about last night. I honestly did want to remember what happened last night, but I just couldn't. Maybe I'd get little pieces from here and there eventually. Maybe even in a dream, the night would be revealed. I think the last thing I truly remembered was sitting down on the couch with a few shot glasses in our hands. I feel like there's still something missing... A question? Statement? I know I said something. Maybe if I just continued to try and think, it'd come to me.
"Youhoo. V. Earth to V here."
"Huh? What?" I snapped back to what was going on in the room, and saw Johnny sitting across from me.
"Um, well tonight there's going to be a blood moon, and Matt said he and Brian are going to this thing tonight for it. Wanted to know if we would come too."
"Uhh, sure. Yeah, I'll go." I probably sounded distracted, but who cares? I was trying to figure out what the fuck happened last night.
"It's in a few hours, are we going to be finished by then?"
"THAT'S IT!" I screamed, jumping off of the couch. "JOHNNY, THAT'S IT! A QUESTION! I REMEMBER!"
"Um, what?" He questioned, a bit confused. I stared at him for a moment, eyes wide, a smile pasted to my lips.
"I think it was something about Jimmy or feelings or something. What... What was it like, something. I'm so close, Johnny boy! So close!" I jumped up and down, celebrating. I don't even know why I was so happy. There had been plenty of nights I didn't remember and didn't have a problem with.
"Okay, I'm just going to ignore that, and repeat my question. Do you think we'll be wrapping things up by then? Like, do you think we'll be ready by then?"
"For what?" I asked, placing my hands on my hips, continuing to happily smile.
"Fuck, what's wrong man? The thing tonight."
"Oh yeah! Yeah, we're ready now, aren't we? What time is it?"
"I guess," Johnny looked very confused for whatever reason, and took my seat on the couch. "It's 11:00pm, but it doesn't start until around 12 or 12:30."
"Well fuck yeah, I'm ready. We're sooo ready." I laughed, picking my guitar back up. I'm pretty sure at this point Johnny was properly confused, and wondering if I was still slightly drunk by the way he slowly picked up his bass, and continued staring at me.
"Do you even know what this "thing" is supposed to be?"
"No, just something Matt caught wind of."
"Hopefully we won't regret anything."
