(Love) Contract

Matt’s POV

I grabbed my bag and looked over at Tara, she had an even smaller bag with her then me or Jason.
I frowned, didn’t she have time to pack up more stuff?
But Jason drove her as far as I knew so she must have had plenty of time…
I would ask her about it later, first, we would settle down in our rooms and then meet again for dinner.
Brian said he wanted to get to know her better, I knew what that meant in his crazy world, but on the other hand it made sense that they would spend some time together, before we headed back and we would seal the deal with a contract.

We stopped at the right floor and I looked at my room, number 210 then I looked over to Tara and her room was next to mine, Brian and Jason’s opposite from us.
“When did you reserve the table?” I asked Jason.
“We got two hour to rest and freshen up, and then we meet again at the foyer. The table is reserved at seven.” Jason said and I nodded.
“Alright, then we see us again at seven downstairs.” I looked over at Tara and Brian.
“Sure, I’ll be there, if not, just knock on my door, only three feet away from your room. I promise I won’t be running away again.” Brian grinned.
I nodded, not really sure if he would keep his promise and I could trust him but I had to wait and see to find out.
I looked over at Tara waiting for her answer, but she just stared at the floor, looking a little lost again.
“Tara, are you okay?” Her head snapped up and she looked at me with a frown.
“I.. well yeah.. I sure…” She stuttered then turned away and opened the door to her room and closed it immediately.
I frowned, her behavior was really confusing.
“Alright, see you later guys.” I opened my door as well and looked a last time at Brian and Jason until they both vanished into their rooms.

I set my bag in the corner of my room and sighed loudly. What a day…
Everything came completely differently as expected, not only that we ended up in Vegas searching for Brian, we also found our perfect employee, I hoped we could sort through all the details and get to know her today.
We could also ask her, when we arrived back in Huntington, that she would visit us in Brian’s home so she could see her new surroundings, not a bad place to live.
And then we could give her the contract, let her read it, then she could talk to her family, maybe also have a lawyer with her to clear the details and then, it would be settled… I just hoped it would be as easy as it seemed right now.

I opened my bag, pulled out fresh clothes and went to my bathroom, I needed a shower and I wanted to look good for our dinner.
Maybe I could even go over to Tara’s room a little earlier, I could ask her to go downstairs with me, so we could have a moment to talk to ourselves.
Nothing spoke against it that I wanted to get to know her as well, since she was my employee if everything worked out… she would also be living together with me under one roof, I mean… I wouldn’t leave her alone with Brian right away, I needed to have an eye on both of them.
I nodded satisfied with my plan and ideas and hurried with my shower and getting ready, hopefully Tara would be ready soon as well, so my getting to know could start early today.

Tara’s POV

Damn damn damn… what am I going to do?!
I had to do something, I just didn’t know what… I didn’t want to embarrass myself on the first day and I didn’t even have the job yet.
So… how could I find a good excuse to not go with them to the restaurant… how could I cancel the dinner…?!
I took a quick shower and felt a lot better afterwards, but still I couldn’t come up with the right idea.
I couldn’t talk to Matt, he would laugh at me, he wouldn’t give me the job anymore…
Maybe I should talk to Jason, he helped me out once…
Or Brian…
I paced my room and made a final decision, I would try for Jason. He seemed like a cool guy, he could help me.

I opened my door and knocked on the door opposite of mine, I took him a moment until the door opened and not Jason stood there, but Brian, only a towel around his hip and I stared at him.
Shit, wrong door.
“I.. I.. didn’t…” I murmured and looked up to his face and found a sexy smirk on his small lips.
“You didn’t mean to what?” He grinned.
“Wrong door.” I shrugged.
“Oh, Matt’s door is next to yours.” Brian grinned again.
“No, I wanted to talk to Jason.” I replied with a frown.
“Oh really? Why is that? And could we talk inside, I’m getting a little cold.” Brian replied and before I could reply he grabbed my arm and pulled me into his hotel room.
“I have to talk to him, I… I can’t tell you.” Brian walked into his room and bent down over his bag and grabbed fresh clothes, my eyes wandered to his ass only covered by the towel.
“Like what you see?” I opened my eyes wide and stared into his face again, my cheeks heating immediately.
Shit, he caught me.
“Yeah, can’t deny that.” I told him and also had to grin.
Brian chuckled “Let me get dressed and then you tell me what’s wrong. I will be your new boyfriend, don’t forget that… You need to talk to me and not to the other ones. I bet I can help you even better than Jason.” He winked at me and then walked towards the bathroom.
I watched him walk away, and before he reached the door he let the towel drop and I got a full view of his naked and gorgeous butt before he vanished into the bathroom.

I plopped down on his bed and shook my head, this guy was really weird, but hot… hot and weird was a dangerous combination. I didn’t know what to think of all this…
“Alright, I’m decent. We can talk now. What’s on your mind?” Brian sat next to me, very close, his thigh brushing mine and I knew he did that on purpose.
“I.. I.. damn… don’t laugh at me, okay? When we go to that restaurant having dinner… Do you know if they have a certain dress code?” I asked and looked down on my hands.
“Hmm… well yeah. But it’s not like you gotta wear a suit or something, just fancy. Why?” Brian asked and I didn’t look at him.
Finally I felt his hand on my chin, turning my face to him. I wanted to resist but gave in…
“Why would you ask that?” All the playfulness gone from him and he looked serious.
“I had to pack real quick… and honestly… I don’t earn that much stuff… I just moved in with my sister, she took me into her small apartment… I started over… anyway… I only have the wet clothes with me… and the ones I am wearing now. Both not suitable for going to a restaurant…” I sighed heavily.
“Well, it’s one hour till we will meet with the others, come on.” Brian got up grabbing my hand.
“Wait… what?” I stood next to him and he grabbed his phone, keycard and wallet of the table.
“We gonna solve your problem now.” Brian gave me a small smile.
“How?” I frowned even more.
“I will take you shopping, but we gotta be quick.” Brian dragged me behind him and I shook my head.
“I can’t…” This would get even more embarrassing now.
“Why?” Brian stopped again, turning towards me.
“Because I don’t have money, okay?! I just told you, I moved in with my sister, I live on her fucking couch. I’m completely broke. Can you just tell Matt and Jason that I wasn’t feeling good and that you will go alone?” I asked him desperate.
“No, sorry. He won’t accept that. Come on, I will buy you something. Let’s have fun this evening, we wanted to get to know each other, right? How can we do that when you don’t wanna show up?”
“I.. well.. I can’t accept that.” I shook my head at the thought of him buying me something.
“Gods woman, what’s wrong with you? Every other woman would be out of this hotel room and dragging me down the shopping lane already and you can’t accept it?” Brian looked amused.
“I just… don’t like owing someone something, okay?”
“You don’t owe me anything if it’s a gift, now let’s go or we won’t be back in time.” With that Brian opened the door and dragged me out behind him.
