Brian’s POV
I opened the door to our house quietly and I sneaked inside, I listened for any movements but couldn’t hear anything.
I took the envelope out of the inner pocket of my jacket and grinned at it, when suddenly a door slammed shut and I heard footsteps upstairs.
Fuck, I hide the envelope inside my pocket and got rid of my jacket and hung it into the closet.
“BRIAN? Babe? Is that you?” I heard my girlfriend from upstairs. I hastily closed the door and saw her already standing on the first step staring at me.
I tried to act casual and put a smile on my face.
“Hey babe, sorry I didn’t hear you. I just came home.” I replied pulling the famous panties wetting smile on my face.
I saw her expression turning from anger to lust, still working like on the first day.
I lifted an eyebrow at her and took in the full sight of my lovely girlfriend.
Her red hair falling down her shoulders and back, I loved the glowing of it, when the sun shone through the curtains on a lazy morning, when we woke up together… I could just lie beside her and stroke her silky red strands.

“Ah man, I had this stupid fight with my girl again, when she called me before she went on the plane.” I rubbed my neck and looked around the group of my four best friends, which gathered around me now.
“What did you fight about?” Arin asked, glancing at his phone.
I rolled my eyes at him and then looked back at him “Well, you know it. I had already told her that I won’t be there on her birthday and when we talked again on the phone that we had this show and I couldn’t be there on her birthday. She was pretty pissed at me and just hung up.”
“You knew she would react like that, you both a pretty hot tempered…” Johnny said with a shrug.
“Sure, I know. But I just don’t like it… fuck.. anyway-”
“The Flight 255 to the Amsterdam-” the speaker announcement of the airport interrupted my sentence.
“That’s ours. We need to hurry.” Matt said and we all grabbed our bags and went to the Gate.

Leyla’s POV
“Miss, are you okay? Can I get you a glass of water?”
The flight attendant touched my arm softly and looked at me with pity in her eyes. I quickly wiped away my tears as I stuttered a denying reply. She nodded curtly and walked away.
Good job Leyla, now you are crying at a plane, it was a good thing this flight was taking 12 hours, because I really didn’t want my friend to see me like this.
I was replaying the last conversation I had with my boyfriend over and over in my head, he had been so cold, so evasive, how could I not think the worst? He was either leaving me, or he was cheating on me, which was even worse, because then he would leave me too.

“Leyla, please stop being so needy, you know this kind of thing comes with my job. I can’t be there for every birthday you celebrate”
“I could have come with you, we could have been together”
A deep sigh came from the other side of the line
“You know I wouldn’t have time for you, you know I’m busy”
“If I’m such a burden, why did you call me anyway? Just go back to that important job of yours.”
I got angry, he felt so special, so important and he was being a total ass.
“Do you even want to be with me?”
I know that wasn’t a question you should ask when you are fighting, but I couldn’t help it
Silence fell on the line “I’m not discussing this over the phone, Leyla, you are not thinking straight”
A scream in frustration left my mouth “You know what? Just leave it, I will talk to you later… Or not!”
My finger was on the “end”-button when I heard him say “Let me know when you land”
“Don’t be so needy, you know I will be busy” I replied as I hung up the phone with a satisfied smile.

Truth was, that satisfaction was long gone by the time 5 minutes had passed and I didn’t have the courage to call him back. And now I was on a plane, on my way to visit one of my best friends, crying in public. I wasn´t going to let him ruin this, I was finally visiting the Netherlands, I’ve been wanting to do that forever.

This ticket has been my birthday present from Kim and her husband. Normally we all lived in the same town, but at the end of the summer we always visited our home countries, I hadn’t seen her for almost 2 months now and I was definitely looking forward to seeing her again. Maybe we could even visit Meike, she wasn’t that far away from what I’ve heard, those distances in Europe still confused me.

The flight attendant told us to buckle up and the plane started to lower. As soon as the plane landed, I rushed out of the plane, getting my luggage, running for the door. I looked around, trying to locate my friend, and I halted as soon as I found her... She wasn´t alone...

“LEYLA!!!!” Two girls were screaming my name, running towards me “KIM! MEIKE!” I hugged my friends closely, then looked at Meike “What are you doing here!?”
“You didn’t think I would let you two do Amsterdam alone, didn’t you?” she replied with a devilish smile “And momma needs some fun!”
“Show me the latest pictures!” I demanded, while Meike pulled out her phone and showed me the latest pictures of her son, same green eyes as his father, his mother’s smile “He is so adorable!”
“Yes he is, but he’s with my parents now, I need a weekend away from dirty diapers!” She smiled widely and hooked her arm in mine, as Kim took my suitcase from me
“Time to get some coffee, let’s go!” Kim and Meike exchanged a look, did they notice anything about me?
We stopped at a coffee place at the airport and as soon as I walked into the place I saw two more familiar faces. I shook my head, I must be imagining things, this couldn’t be true. Then I saw them getting up and looking at us with expecting smiles. They were here!

“RYE!!! NESSA!!!!” We were all screaming and hugging and I felt tears down my face, I was so happy being with my friends again, I almost burst of love for them. I couldn’t contain the amazed cry outs and we only stopped when the waiter came and asked us to tone it down or leave.
While everyone sat down I sighed “I can’t believe you are all here! This is hands down the best surprise ever!”
“We had to celebrate your birthday with you” Rye said, pulling me close to her again
“And I never let go of a chance to party in Amsterdam” Nessa added.
“I booked us all in the same hotel, even me” Kim smiled widely
“I mean, we could have stayed at our house, but I think we need to get pampered these days, what do you say?”
“Hell yeah!” we all yelled in confirmation

Meike looked at the other women “Time for presents?”
“Time for presents!” Rye replied.
“But it’s not my birthday yet” I offered
“Are you really refusing these now?” Kim asked as she put a big box on the table, while the others followed with beautifully wrapped boxes too
“No, No, of course not” I smiled widely.
The girls bought me a complete new outfit, a dress, shoes, a coat, and jewellery.
“I love it! It’s so beautiful!”
“And this is from the guys” Kim said, handing me a last box
I opened it carefully, finding some black-purple laced lingerie. Little bows on the panties and bra, with dangling deathbats underneath them
“It’s custom made” Meike replied with a smile.

I looked around the table, we had found a deep and profound friendship, but there was one thing that had connected us in the first place
..Our men ...
