You've been at it for to long
As Oli slept in his room i went to go do the usual choirs that i got into the routine of doing through out the years. After putting away the dishes i decided to turn on my phone. Obviously scared of what would happen i put it on the coffee table and hopped onto the couch.
*Buzz...Buzz, BuzBuzBuz* that went on for another 3 minutes before it finally stopped, i looked over to my now black screen and pressed a button to bring up the main screen.
^ 28 missed calls, 9 voice messages, and 16 text messages ^ All from Matt but i knew that it really wasn't.
Right then my phone started to ring, but only this time it was Val calling.
" Hello " i answered praying this wasn't a trick.
" Silver, thank god. Matt just called me from Johnny's cell"
" Wait, why from Johnny's"
" Well I'm guessing that he was the closest one next to him"
" Why couldn't he call me from his phone, you dumb-nut" I said laughing a little but trying to act all serious.
" Oh, because Zacky broke his. So tell me how was it talking to him after what... 3 years" She said in gossip mode.
" almost 4 and i didn't really talk to him. he took the phone from Matt and then was like 'silver is that really you' and i hung up. I just turned my phone on and i have 28 missed calls 9 voice messages and 16 text messages" I told her and she just started to laugh.
" Have you read any yet"
" No, you called before i could"
" Oh yea, hey so what Matt was going to ask was, could we have Oli's birthday over here and i will set it all up and pay for everything. i just really need some background info for my new job. PLEASE" She begged.
" I don't think so. Did you not just hear what happened like an hour ago. I'm not bringing my son ANY where near Zacky.Jimmy tells me he's a drunk know" I said trying to build my case that i knew i wouldn't win anyway.
" First off Oliver is his child too and your going to have to tell him sooner or later"
" If the only support you have is that then I'm gonna go i have more important things to do then be scrutinized" I told her about to hang up.
" No, that's not it. I really need this job AND plus Matt and Brian set up a fake interview for him that will take him WAY out of town, like to two whole other states away. And to finish this up you listen to Jimmy who is drunk half the time..." She had a point and it seemed like they all really though this through.
" Fine but only because i feel bad that you guys have to drive four hours out each time for something. BUT Someone has to come and pick us up cause i don't like to drive" I told her. Shortly after Oli was born i got into a wreck that didn't harm either of us, but still scared me .... crapless.
" Fine i can arrange that. so i'll see you then"
I sighed " fine. BUT YOU BETTER F*CKIN MAKE SURE ZACKY ISN'T THEIR"
" Mommy... Who's Zacky" Valary started to laugh
" Turtle Nuggets. Call you later, bye" I told her hanging up and picked up my little boy. " He's an old friend" Oli played with strands of my blue and black hair. He looked up to me still with a confused look.
" Why are you so mad at him then" I didn't know how to answer that. What was i suppose to say. ' well sweety that's your dumbass dad who cheated on me and prefer to leave you for dead then even meet you' yea i don't think so.
" Well mommy once loved him an..."
" like you did daddy" I wanted to cry. The one thing i loved more then anything was that he only asked who his dad was once and i told him, a friend of Uncle Matty's, he left it at that.
" Yea exactly like that, and he did a really bad thing so i don't like him no more. Now let me ask you something, did you hear the bad word i said" He nodded " Mommy had an bad moment, your not aloud to have bad moments rreeemmmbbbeeerrr" I said tickling him.
" I know Momma, heeheee no bad words EVER" i laughed as he crawled to the other side of the couch.
" Good" I said turning on Batman and watched Oli act out all the action scene as i got ready for work tommorow.
" Mommy" I sat down my bag and looked him. " Is my daddy the Joker"
