"Mommy" I looked over to Oli as I stood by the stove at Matt and Val's place. "Why do you dress so scary" I stopped stirring the rice and just stared at him. He's never said anything like that before, if at anything he loves the way I looks cause he always wants to wear dark stuff and dress in studs.
"Why do you ask, Oli" feeling a bit paranoid I looked down to my outfit, it wasn't helping the situation.
"Because the kids in my class always talk about how you and daddy are vampire's that are dark and evil, they don't like to play with me cause they think I'll Bite them" Val and Brian walked in right after he said that. They looked to me, suddenly intrigued from what they heard.
"Do they say anything else about us?" He nodded his head as he colored in his book.
"One kid said that his mommy say that you and daddy and Uncle Matty and Jimmy, Johnny and Brian are all a disgrace to the names of good parents and people" He looked at Brian and it was fair to say that all our mouths had dropped at least twenty feet. " I didn't like what he said so I punched him" Brian picked him up and looked to me.
"You mind watching him for a minute" They nodded to me as I walked out of the kitchen. "ZACKY!" I speeded up the stairs to the band room where I found all the guys but Brian practicing. "Zacky, we need to talk" He looked up, he was so into his playing that he didn't even notice I was yelling for him before.
"Can it wait?" I just glared at him. "I'll be back"
Johnny turned to Matt "Ah the power of the glare, I know such power... cause I to have been there". Matt nodded in agreement to the nonsenses Johnny was saying.
I walked out of the room and down the hall to the bathroom, Zacky looked at me and then into the bathroom. "I swear to god, if you are finally coming around to having sex in the sink, I will cum here and now" I smacked him before pulling him into the bathroom and locking the door.
"Did you know that Oli's school is talking shit about us? He just asked me why we dressed so dark and then told me that one of the parents has been saying that we are a disgrace to all parents and people?" He looked surprised. "You told me that it would be wonderful here, that people wouldn't care and Oli wouldn't be judged because of us or what you do?"
He just stood there mulling over what to say.

"You're overreacting? It's nothing big, I bet if some new people came to the school looking like us we would be talking about how they look kind of scary... Okay, well maybe if we like ... weren't who we are"
"No, that's not going to work for me. First thing tomorrow we are taking him to school and kicking some people's asses!" I walked out of the door and stomped down the hall.
"SO THATS A NO TO SINK SEX" I flipped him off without even looking back. As I walked back into the kitchen Oli was playing with Brian on the floor and acting as if they were ninjas and pirates.
"Arg, matey. Yea shall not have me gold" Brian said as he used a wooden spoon as a sword. I laughed as Oli went all 'ninja' on his and started randomly kicking in the air. "Dude come on, be more ninja"
"Uncle Brian! That's not a ninja voice" Oli looked over to me with puppy eyes. "Wanna play mommy" I walked by them giving him a hair toss.
"Sorry bud, I have to help Aunty Val make dinner. If you'll have me though, I would love to play with you later" He smiled at me and went on playing with Brian.
"Soooo... How was your talk with Zacky" I just looked at her. She already knew the answer to it, she just liked to be nosy about everything.
"We are going to talk to his school tomorrow, I know that it's one thing for kids to joke around; but Oli is being excluded because of what others think. It's not fair to him" I turned away from the stir fry. "... Did I do the right thing. Is this all my fault? What if he never make friends and becomes an outcast. It will be all my fault" She came over to me, placing her hands on my shoulders.
"It's not your fault. You thought that this was the right move, and now you're gonna have to live with it. Things will get better. Don't worry about it" I smile and she pulled me into a hug.

~next day~
"Thank you for seeing us. I know this was short notice but it's very important." I said as me and Zacky sat down in front of Mrs. Cooks desk. She didn't really seemed concerned, in fact she looked annoyed.
"If this is about the play doh incident, the other kid already said sorry and has learned from his mistakes" I looked to Zacky who just stared at Mrs. Cook confused. I looked back to her with the same look on my face.
"What play doh incident..." She was the one with a worried face now.
" Oh well, one of the students here was being mean to Oliver and decided that he was going smear play doh in Olivers face. We made sure Oliver was okay and got cleaned up. The boy was put in time out" I just looked at her dumbfounded.
"What the fuck are we paying you for! Our son is getting picked on and tortured while the parents talk shit about us and call us awful parents and make their children believe it to. FOR YOUR INFORMATION WE ARE WONDERFUL PARENT!" Zacky went off on her, making her slide back in her chair as he stood up causing his chair to slide backwards.
"Sir, your not allowed to say those words in a children's school"
"Yea and your suppose to tell us when something like that happens, But did you... NO" I stood up with Oli... just in a less dramatic manner. We walked out of the room and into the area where the kids were playing around. They all stopped to stair at me and Zacky like a amusement attraction.
"Come on Oli, Let's go home" Zacky said picking up Oliver who was sitting at a table by himself drawling.
"Bye Vampire Freak" One of the little girls said as we went threw the door.
"Shut up" I looked to Oli. I was forcing my self to put on a strict face even though I just really wanted to laugh and give him a kiss.
"Your not suppose to say that" As soon as we got out into the parking lot and placed him in the car I went over to him. "Your such a good boy" I gave him a kiss on the cheek and shut the door. Zacky stood in front of me.
"So... That went well...ish" I laughed as he pulled me into a hug. "Don't worry we'll be fine"

"Yea" I smiled as he leaned down and kissed me. For a second... I was okay with everything.
