Brian’s POV
“No you won’t” Matt voice cut through the room and I turned around looking at him.
“What do you mean? No, we won’t?” Jimmy asked immediately.
“Of course we will.” Jimmy cut in before Matt could reply and I nodded.
“Where Izzie goes, I am going.” I confirmed.
“Babe, you can’t.” Izzie laid her hand on my chest and I looked down on her.
“What do mean? I can’t… fuck yeah I can. We can’t leave you two alone there. Not in New York and certainly not with him.”
I heard Jimmy and Matt discuss while Mia tried to get between them, without much luck and I wasn’t going to back down either.
“Babe, look at me.” Izzie put her soft hands on my cheeks and guided my head down, looking at her.
“Come on, we will discuss that in our room.” She grabbed my hand and lead me out of the room, leaving the others in their argument behind.
Whatever she said, I wouldn’t give in. I wouldn’t let her leave me, not now we were official. I couldn’t let her leave… not to New York, not alone.

Izzie opened the door and pulled me inside, she walked towards the bed and pushed me down.
I sat on the edge looking at her, “I’m going with you.”
“Brian, listen to me.”
“Then you are staying here.” I knew exactly what she wanted to say, how could she want to go?

“Okay, here is the situation. Olly called Mia and he told her-” I shook my head. “Olly, of course the police officer, right… He has to be in this, huh?”

“Okay okay, talk.” Izzie waited another moment then sat down beside me and took my hands in hers.
“Mia needs to be in New York tomorrow. Then is Josh’ sentencing, she needs to do another statement and has to be in court. You realize that I can’t let her go alone, right?”
“Yeah of course, but that’s why we are coming with you.”
Izzie shook her head, “No, babe. You only have a few days left before this trip ends, you have jobs and responsibilities here. You have to stay. I will go with Mia, I will make sure she is not alone. She will make her statement and the day after we will come back to you, I promise.”
I shook my head, “I don’t want you to go. And what does this Oliver guy has to do with everything, why is he responsible. I don’t want him around you.”
“Do I hear jealousy?” Izzie grinned and I rolled my eyes.
“No, it’s just a little weird, I thought he went back to LA, so what does he have to do here?” I asked not jealous at all just a little curious.
“I don’t know, but he is Mia’s friend, maybe he asked to be part of it. He told Mia he will pick us up and care for us as long as we are there, and don’t look so angry Brian. I am yours, no need to worry.”
“I don’t like this. I will talk to Matt, he will-” I stood up but Izzie pushed me back down.
“No, you won’t. We talked to Matt and it is not possible that you and Jimmy will join us. You will move on with your trip and we will get that asshole behind bars and as soon as that is done, we will hop back on a plane and make our way to you. And we will make up for the hours apart, I promise.” Izzie leaned towards me, kissing me.
I sighed heavily, I still didn’t like it and maybe I could think of something to prevent Izzie and Mia from going, but right now, all the blood I needed for thinking was rushing down south.

Jimmy’s POV
“No you won’t” Matt’s voice was still ringing through my ears and after my first surprised reactions, I got caught up in a staring contest with Mia. Then I finally found my voice again, and looked at Matt in contempt.
“What the hell makes you think you can decide what I do?! If I want to go with her, there is no fucking way you are stopping me. And that’s the end of it”
“James.... “ Mia started
“NO! I don’t want to hear it. Matt put you up to this right? He told you to say you didn’t want me with you, so he can keep me here”
“Fuck! You are crazy!” Matt growled. “Why would I do something like that? Why would I even think about something like that? It’s just that we started this race and..”
“The race my ass” I interrupted him “YOU are crazy if you think I will let Mia go by herself!”

“James, please” Mia moved in between Matt and me.
“Mia, step aside, this is between Matt and me”

Matt was fuming now “Seriously Jimmy. Talk to your girlfriend!”
Mia was shocked “James! Apologize! This isn’t Matt’s fault, that’s what I’m trying to tell you! I asked him to talk to you, I want to go alone with Izzie, you have important business to do here. Apologize now! If you want to be mad, be mad at me”
I stared at her in disbelieve, I couldn’t believe she didn’t want me there. I felt her soft little hand in mine, pulling me towards the door.I looked behind me, seeing Matt shrug, all the anger already out of his face, I looked around, where did Brian and Izzie go? I shook my head when I felt Mia tug on my hand. I guess we needed to talk.

Brian’s POV
