Roadtrip

Izzie’s POV
“I can’t believe this” I looked over to Olly, sitting across from me at the restaurant he took me to. He smiled.
“What?”
“You.... Me... Here... “
He chuckled “Care to give me a few more words, Iz?”
His friendly face made me smile.
“I just never thought I would see you ever again, I mean, after you left, I knew Mia and you stayed in touch, but who would have known she would walk into you in New York for god’s sake!”
“Must have been fate” he replied with a grin on his face “Apparently New York is in my favour, opposed to Huntington”
“What do you mean?”
The waiter came over to our table with two huge burgers and put them in front of me.
“Saved by the food” he chuckled.
“Damn, Olly, how am I going to eat this!? It’s not really date food! I will look horrible, eating this”
Olly laughed loud at my indignant face
“This place is called ‘Five napkin burger’ for a reason. They say you need 5 napkins to clean your face after you finished... And to be honest... I don’t think you could ever look horrible” He trailed with a soft smile on his face.
I blushed and started my burger. I glanced over to him once in a while. He was beautiful...his half long blond hair, his muscled body, his sunkissed skin, I just couldn’t believe how he grew up. I mean, he had never been an ugly duckling, but this was seriously into the extremes.

I did need 5 napkins to clean my face, I might even snatched one of Olly’s to make a finishing touch. He looked over to me “Tell me how you and Mia got here?”
“We went on a roadtrip, Mia and I, and we met the guys on the first night out. Mia feel head over heels for Jimmy, so we stuck around. They are doing this charity thing, so we are driving all around the states doing stupid jobs with them. It’s actually a lot of fun”
“And you? Being on the road with 5 guys, leaving 4 to your picking. There isn’t one that caught your eye?” He looked at me with a knowing stare.
“It might at the beginning, but it’s not anymore”
“It’s Brian huh?” I shrugged
“Oliver, I’m having a nice time, don’t get into that, okay?” My mind wandered to Brian. He would be on stage now, I was so excited to see them play and now...
“Ouch, you called me Oliver... That’s my cue to shut up” Olly smirked
“Those guys are quite nice though, right? That Jimmy guy seems really good to Mia”
“Yeah, he is. Although that wasn’t really hard after Josh”
“Stalker Josh?”
“You know about him?”
“Yes, Mia told me a few things about him, but I think she was never really honest with me... I don’t know... just a gut feeling”
“She probably wasn’t”
He lifted his brows “Tell me?”
“I will need some fresh air for that”
“Okay, let’s go then, I know the perfect place to go”

While Olly paid for our dinner, I waited outside, checking my phone, I got a message from Mia

Honey, smile and enjoy yourself, you deserved it! M

Mia’s POV
It’s nice to see Olly again, we just ate the most amazing burgers and he’s taking me somewhere else now, he said it would be perfect... how’s the concert? X

I smiled reading Izzie’s message. She seemed to really enjoy the evening and I hoped that maybe Olly was the right guy to let her forget about Brian completely.
What could be better anyway… Izzie and my old friend being a couple, I liked him, he liked her… Perfect… but was everything always this easy and perfect how it should be?!
“Hottie? We need to get ready, you coming?” I sat on the couch in the backstage room looking up at Jimmy’s excited face and couldn’t help but smile back at him.
“Sure, yes. I just received a message from Izzie.” Matt turned my way.
“What does she say?”
I read it out loud and leaving the how’s the concert part away, and mentioned extra loud that he is taking her somewhere else now, and said it would be perfect.
I saw Brian looking my way and I narrowed my eyes on him.
He had been quiet the entire time since we got here, only his guitar on his lap and writing down stuff and shredding from time to time.
“Alright, write her back and tell her she should keep in contact… and that she should enjoy herself or some girl stuff that you would write.” Matt shrugged his shoulders at the last part.
I grinned and walked over to him, hugging him. “Don’t worry Matt, she is in good hands.”
He hugged me back. “I hope so, don’t want to get into another fight with the police so soon.”
I lifted my eyebrow but he just smirked at me.

“5 min. guys…. You need to be out in 5.” Jason Berry yelled.
I could at least tell the difference now between these two brothers and remembered their name.
“Come on, hottie. I’ll show you where you will be standing.” Jimmy pulled me next to the stage.
I could hear the crowd already chanting “Seven-fold, Seven-fold” and I was amazed.
I wished Izzie could see and hear this but she was happy at her date as well, she would get another chance.

“Here, I can see you over here and you can see me as well.” Jimmy positioned me beside the stage.
“Oh and don’t go near the fire… and beware of the explosions and shit.” Jimmy told me.
“Wait.. what? Fire? Explosions?” Jimmy leaned in and silenced me with a kiss.
“You will love it. I know! I need to go now… I will see you in a bit hottie, I’ll keep an eye on you.” He kissed me again, pulling me against his body firmly and then he was gone the next second.
The lights went out and the music playing in the background stopped.
I looked fascinated towards the stage and wait for the beginning when suddenly someone stood beside me, making me jump.
“Shit, Jason… you scared me.” I told him when I recognized his face.
“Jimmy told me to not leave you out of my eyes for a second, so here I am. You care to tell me why he says something like that?”
Then the music started and a loud explosion rocked the whole stage and the crowd began to yell and I saw the guys walking up on stage.
“GOOD EVENING NEW YORK!!! HOW ARE YOU MOTHERFUCKERS TONIGHT?” Matt yelled into the mic and I pulled my phone out.

Izzie’s POV
The show just began, honey.
I’m standing near the stage, I miss you here beside me, but I suggest you make that up to me by having a lot fun with Olly.
I will give you another update later on…
Matt wants me to tell you that you should enjoy yourself, he is a worried big bro. It’s so cute. M

Olly and I talked all the way to the place he was taking me. I told him about Josh, everything I got to know about his past with Mia and everything we experienced on this trip.
“It was scary, but the guys have been the best. Jimmy is making Mia feel safe and they are not letting us out of their sight, they are taking really good care of us. I just hope Josh will stay away, you know”
“Let me make some calls tomorrow, maybe we can arrest him for something”
I smiled and pushed his shoulder softly “You’re sweet”, earning myself a chuckle from him.
“You’re not so bad yourself... Come on... we have to go this way” he grabbed my hand and took me up some stairs.

“Look” Olly pointed at the park we were at the beginning of. It was an old railway, which was changed into a park. It was decorated with little lights and there were wooden benches everywhere.
“ This is called High Line Park, I found it a few days ago when I was out with my colleagues. I thinks it’s beautiful” I nodded, it really was beautiful, and so peaceful. Olly guided me to an empty lounge seat and we sat, better said, laid down.
I looked at him “What did you mean when you said that New York was in your favour?”
He averted his eyes from me. Did he blush?!
“I’ve always had a crush on you Izzie, but the time was never right. When I was available, you had someone and when you were single again, I was not. The time just never seemed right”
Damn... was this hot guy really admitting he liked me?
“And now we are both single....” I said quietly
“... Now we are both single” he replied as softly, while his hand moved to my face and stroked away a strand of hair.
He looked into my eyes deeply and I knew what was coming, he came closer and I closed my eyes, waiting for his touch.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed his kiss, it was sweet but demanding, soft but hungry at the same time. When I opened my eyes again, his piercing blue ones we staring at me. And all I could think about were those big brown ones. Damnit! Where had Olly been a few weeks ago, before I met Brian?

Mia’s POV
Wow, the place Olly took me! You should really visit it with Jimmy. It’s sooo beautiful and romantic! Are you enjoying yourself? Is Jimmy as good as he says he is? X

This was what the guys were meant to be… this is exactly it. I saw the small shows in bars that they did, but this was nothing like it… this is where they needed to be. On a big stage, with a huge crowd. It was perfect!
The show they were putting on was amazing and I nodded my head to the beat and danced around a little bit, pulling Jason with me.
He laughed at my behaviour, but I didn’t care. I saw Zacky looking my way with a twinkle in his eyes and winking at me and I smiled back.
My eyes moved over to Jimmy and he looked so concentrated behind the drums that I had to smile.
When he noticed my eyes on him he grinned at me and when he sang into the mic I felt his voice in my heart.
Shit, this guy really got under my skin and moved into my heart so quickly… that I had no way of defending it. But the thing was I never wanted to defend it… I wanted Jimmy to have it.
To cherish it and to keep it… could I risk it again, so soon?!
“What are they doing?” Jason suddenly asked beside me.
“Hmm? What do you mean?” I suddenly saw Brian walking forward on the stage alone.
Johnny, Zack and Matt walking away and suddenly I felt a body pressed up behind me.
I opened my eyes wide and looked at Jimmy.
“Hottie… hey…” Jimmy whispered in my ear.
I turned around his arms glancing at him. “What is happening?”

“Brian told us he wanted to play a Solo, he had an idea… and needs to show it… he is like that sometimes … Have you noticed him? He is completely lost in the music, look.” He pointed at Brian standing in front of the crowd, only with his guitar, eyes closed, lips a thin line, his head held a little high as if his thoughts were somewhere else right now.
“He looks… sad?” I asked.
“That’s what he does when he is sad, he plays… he loses himself in the music. And I guess I know why he is so sad, right now… It has to do with-” Jimmy began but I interrupted him.
“Stop it. I don’t wanna hear it. He is still an ass.” I mumbled but my eyes were still fixed on him, standing on stage. I wished Izzie could see this now, but maybe it was for the better that she couldn’t.
“Jimmy, 2 min. You gotta be back on stage.” Jimmy nodded at Jason and hugged me closer.
“Jimmy, you are sweating all over me.” I looked at his glistening naked chest.
“Come on, hottie. Don’t tell me I don’t turn you on like this?” Jimmy grinned and I rolled my eyes.
“And… I can tell you when I am done here, we both will be sweating like this, I always get a high after having a show… I will show you, believe me.”
“Jimmy, on stage now!” Jason yelled and Jimmy kissed me a final time before moving away again.
I checked my phone and smiled at the message Izzie had send me, Olly was pulling out all the stops apparently, I quickly send her something back before I looked over to Jimmy again, enjoying the energy he had on stage.

Izzie’s POV
Romantic, huh?! Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do... And I want a full report in the morning! Jimmy is even better ;-) I might love him, Izzie” M

Kissing Olly was so easy, once he had started, more of them had followed, and I tried my hardest not to think about Brian. Olly was cute, handsome, sweet, funny and so nice to me. And most importantly, he was honest about his feelings. We walked back to the hotel, his hand never letting go of mine.

When we’ve reached the hotel, he turned me towards him and put his mouth on mine, stroking my lips with his tongue, trying to gain access. If my head hadn’t been so full with Brian, this would have definitely been a mindblowing kiss, but unfortunately I was cursing at myself in my head. Why couldn’t I focus on Olly? He was everything a girl could wish for, for life, and my mind still wandered to the guy that was everything you wished for, for one night. Fuck!

Olly broke our kiss and held me close, looking down on me. “Can I see you again before I leave?”
“Yeah sure, why don’t we have breakfast tomorrow? You can meet all of the guys? I know you are a fanboy on the inside” I winked.
“I will be here, and not to meet “the guys” he replied, softly kissing me one more time before walking away from me. He looked over his shoulder one more time, he was perfect and that made me wanna scream in frustration. Why couldn’t I just fall for him?!
