Roadtrip

Izzie’s POV
Last night had been fun, we had spend hours hanging out in the hotel bar. Before we hit our beds it already had been 3pm, but seeing we could sleep in today that was no problem at all. Brian and I had just been hanging out the whole day, watched a movie this afternoon, not getting showered or dressed until it was already 4 o’clock. He had been very sweet and I felt completely comfortable being around him.

I know I was fooling myself, but I couldn’t deny that little seed of hope that was growing inside of me. We were really good together, he must notice it too, I mean, the sweet way he was around me, the little touches, the small kisses, him holding me when we were in bed, that was not only sex, there must be more... for him too. I looked over at him, staring out of the window, his arm lightly on my shoulders... Yes... I knew I was stupid, but I really preferred my head in the sand at this moment.

Zack pulled over at a big office building “This must be it”.
We all got out, walking over the elderly man in the uniform that was waiting for us outside. He looked like he was the groundkeeper or something.
“Hello, my name is Rob, I’m the janitor of this building. Great that you could be here tonight, the misses is very happy that I will be spending a night at home” he smiled widely.
“We like to keep wives happy” Matt chuckled and winked at the man.
“You already married, son?”
We all laughed “No, no, not yet, waiting for the right mrs. Sanders” he smiled at the man.
“Let me give you one advice.... loose the wild hairs first, then find an amazing one and stay with her. You need a good woman by your side, but don’t ever tell them” The man looked over to Matt and then to me, standing next to Matt. He bend over to Matt a little.
“How about this one, boy, she looks very nice” Matt put his arm around the man’s shoulders leading him to the building, speaking to him confidentially “She’s already taken, sir”
“Such as shame, such a shame” we heard him murmur. I giggled and Brian smiled at me as he put his arm around my waist, pulling me to his side and kissed my temple. That man was just too cute...., the old man too.

Once we got inside the man started talking.
“You should just man the monitors here, nothing much happens around here. I just opened the windows to let some fresh air in, but you might want to close them around 2 or 3 pm so it won’t be to cold tomorrow when the people get in again. You should check all the doors on a few rounds during the night and.. uhm... let me think.... Oh, and I would really appreciate if you could clean up the break room a little, they made a mess during the after work drinks they had there.”

With those last words the man gave us the keys and walkie talkies and left. Matt immediately started handing out tasks “Zack, you watch the monitors. Johnny, you do the first round of door checks for the third floor.” Matt looked at us four, I could see him thinking. I walked over to him “Matt... “ I asked sweetly
“Hmmm”
“Can Mia and I get an assignment together? We can talk a little then?”
“Sure” he smiled. “You two go start on the break room then, Brian and Jimmy, you do the second floor check, I will do the first”
“But...” Jimmy started to object
“No buts, I don’t trust you together, this is how it goes”

Everyone got off to their task. Mia and I were in the breakfast room and cleaned up a bit, talking while doing it. We had been together the past few days, but we didn’t really speak and we missed a lot from each other. She wasn’t ready to admit it, but she loved Jimmy, I could tell she did, but I guess it was all just too soon. I told her about Brian, and she shook her head
“You are going to crash and burn, Izzie”
“I know, but... I just can’t okay?” she laid her hand on my arm “Okay, but promise me, come to me when something happens? We are best together”
“Okay... You remember Rick? That guy from high school? With the bleach blonde hair?”
“Yes, how come you think about him?”
“He crashed and burned when he got his mind set on you”
Mia laughed “Oh god.. Yes! I almost forgot!”

We got so caught up in memories and old stories that I didn’t even notice Jimmy and Brian coming in, until I felt Brian’s arms around me and his mouth on my neck. “Brian, don’t” I giggled. He turned me around in his arms and kissed me. I could see Jimmy do the same with Mia “Jimmy, stop, I’m talking to Izzie” We both pushed the guys away and sat down on some chairs, talking again.

Brian pulled up a chair and sat next to me, his fingers went up my arms, to my shoulders, slightly touching my neck, I shook him off. “Brian!” I looked at him annoyed “Aren’t you listening?”. Jimmy had pulled Mia on his lap, but she slid off again “same goes to you, James!”. I saw the guys exchange a look, but didn’t take much notice of it... I was just too happy to have a moment like this again with my best friend, it had been too long.

Matt’s POV
“Where are Jimmy, Mia, Brian and Izzie? Brian and Jimmy should have been back here and the girls too” I looked around the small security office with the monitors.
Zack hung in the chair lazily turning from one side to another.
“Don’t know… I’m watching the monitor’s like you told me to.”
“Where is Johnny?”
“Walking around checking the doors still, he said he was almost finished, must be back in 10. He got the walkie-talkie with him.”
“Alright, I will search for the other four. I have a feeling, that they are doing things they shouldn’t be doing right now.”
“Oh let me come with you, I also wanna see some action going on!” Zack sat up straight.
“No, you watch the monitors. I will be back in a bit.”
Zack groaned and slid down in the chair again, watching the monitors.
I grabbed my flashlight and walked out of the office. I passed a few doors and saw Johnny walking towards me.
“And?”I asked him.
“All doors are closed. But I guess we need to do the windows upstairs in the office tract later” Johnny replied and I nodded.
“Yes, you are right. We will make teams later on to check all the rooms. Do you know where the other four are?” I looked around.
“I heard some noises from Mia down the hall in that breakfast room or something… maybe they are there…”Johnny motioned to the last door on the right.
“Ah man, I knew my gut feeling was right. I will get them and we make a plan what is up next.” I replied and felt my anger boil.

How often do I have to tell these guys, no fucking during work?!
Damn, only because it’s night, doesn’t mean they can fucking do whatever they want!
I walked in huge steps towards the room and opened the door with a loud bang and was about to get all my aggression out on the couples, but…
I looked at them and Mia and Izzie were sitting on the table talking, well or were talking but when I walked in they stopped and looked at me but when I didn’t say anything they just smiled at me and then at each other and began to talk again.
“What’s going on here?” I asked confused.
I looked at Jimmy, lying on one of the tables on his back and staring up at the ceiling and Brian was trying to get something to drink out of the soda machine.
“Nothing as you can see…” Brian replied annoyed.
“These two are talking non fucking stop and not paying any attention to me or Jimmy? I mean.. look I can even talk about them right now… and they won’t even listen? IZZIE!!!” Brian screamed but Izzie just laughed at something Mia said.
Jimmy got off the table, standing behind Mia, “Give me my girlfriend back… pleassseeee..”
“Don’t be a baby, Jimmy.” Izzie replied and concentrated back on the talk with Mia.
“Do something, Matt!” Jimmy looked at me helpless and I sighed.
“Fine, alright… Girls and… girls.. come on get back to the security office. We gotta make a plan what we are doing next.” I walked over to Izzie and grabbed the back of her chair.
“Get up!” I pulled the chair slightly away.
“Yes, alright… We are coming!” Izzie and Mia got up and I motioned Jimmy and Brian to follow them.

Jimmy’s POV
“Damn, this job is boring as hell… and its only 2 am. I mean… 3 more hours of this? I am tired.”
“Perfect, then choose one of us to come with you checking the office tract if all the windows are closed.”
“Easy. Mia”
“I wasn’t done. Except Mia… I won’t let you two get in the dark alone, I know that you are too weak for that.”
“Oh come the fuck on… We heard your rule… We wouldn’t be doing that…” Matt raised his brows at me “okay alright, when I think about it you are probably right… We would…” I grinned and pulled Mia close to me, only thinking about having her somewhere alone was making me hard.
“Good, then I build the teams and you shut up.” Matt replied and I sighed.
“Fine.”
“Brian, Iz and Johnny.”
“Hey! Why can Brian be in a team with Izzie!?”
“Because, they will take Johnny as cockblocker. Zack and Mia go together and I go with Jimmy.”
“Wait.. no.. that’s not okay. I don’t like that.” I complained, even if I trusted Mia and I also trusted Zack, I didn’t like the thought of them being alone in the dark.

“No complaining. Mia and Zack, take the 1st floor, Brian 2nd floor and Jimmy and I got for the 3rd. When we are done, we gonna meet again in the security room.” Matt motioned me to walk forward and I groaned.
“Wait wait wait…” I walked around Matt and grabbed Mia, pushing her against the wall, my body plastered to hers.
“You are mine…” I whispered to her ear, “I will have you later…” I bit her earlobe softly and felt her hands wander underneath my shirt.
“James…” Mia whispered and I grinned. I kissed her a final time, when I felt someone tugging on my pants.
“Get off her and get going. 3rd floor. Now!” Matt pulled me away and I sighed.
I looked at Zack laying his arm around her and wink at me and I flipped him off and he began to laugh.

Matt and I walked from room to room, checking all the windows. When we were halfway done he turned towards me with a serious look on his face.
“What?”
“You are deep into that already…” Matt sighed.
“What do you mean?” I knew exactly what he meant but I guess I didn’t want to hear it.
“You know what I am talking about, James.”
“Don’t James me now. Yes, I know. What do you want me to tell you? You know it all, I have fallen for her, damn I love her… yes. I want to spend as much time with her as I can…”
“And?” Matt crossed his arms over his chest and I copied his move.
“And what?” I snapped.
“What will be after this is over? Have you thought about that? Have you talked to her about that?” Matt asked and I knew he wanted only the best for me, he was my best friend.
“No… I mean… I guess that I know what I want, but we didn’t talk… but we will… Can’t you just let me enjoy the time that I have with her… without thinking what will be tomorrow?”
“Alright, but I think you should keep that in mind.”
“I will, okay?”
“Good, then let’s move on.”
I nodded… thank you Matt, for ruining my mood, excellent job.
