Zack’s P.O.V
I couldn’t believe that the girls moved into that house… it had been empty for so long. Both Erin and her sister Hannah were amazing and they definitely knew how to have a good time, Erin had been hesitantly taking in my compliments and was a bit of a challenged and while I was the gentleman of the group I did like a good game of cat and mouse, what really hit me was Erin’s love for tattoos, she was very meaningful with them, she and her sister both had something from a Disney movie and Erin’s upper thigh tattoo said Hakuna Matata, she also has leopard print covering one side of her hips… god her hips… sexy as fuck. At dinner she mentioned a rib tattoo that is a heart worked into the lines that you see on a EKG machine. She was a very interesting girl and Brian and I had every intention of getting to know the two of them better.. they were different than most.
“Are you sure that you two can’t stay out with us a bit longer?” Jimmy whined because he was completely infatuated with how upbeat the two of them were and at this point we were dropping the girls off and it was 1:15 in the morning, Erin shifted her body and she winked and I placed a kiss on her hand before she got out.
“Hope to see you around Zack” She said before she and Hannah locked pinkies again and walked into their house… Hannah and Brian seemed to be getting pretty into each other tonight… something big was starting.
“So you two seem pretty enticed by them” Matt said sternly and you snapped out of it and you and Brian started laughing but Matt was serious… I could tell that he meant business right now.
“So we like them a little… is it so wrong that we want to be happy dude?” Brian said, he and I hadn’t been with anyone for ages… back in the day we were taken but it didn’t work out… we never found the one.
“Don’t make me get into this right now, you two fucking know better than anyone that you aren’t in the position to be casually dating the first two hot girls that show up around here” Matt said… his words stabbing us like knives… but what if it wasn’t casual?
Erin’s P.O.V
Hannah was listening to music on her bed and I strummed her guitar that was sitting at the end and she shot me a death glare and I pulled my hand back and we both started laughing like idiots, I knew that she was sensitive about that guitar because it was one of the only things of our moms that she had left.
“E can I ask you something?” She asked and I just laughed and she quieted me before I could make some smartass remark.
“Do you think that mom is still with us???” She asked… like so many times before but I understood that we were in a new place and things still got to her… life was in no way shape or form easy for us since we basically had to do everything ourselves.
“Hannah honey, you know she is always with us forever and she watches us all the time, you’ve seen her in your dreams, that’s not coincidence, that’s her way of letting you know that everything is alright” I said to her messing with some of her hair like I used to do when we were little.
“Thank you E.. you always did know what to say and you always did seem a bit more composed when it comes to sadness..” She said wiping some of the tears that fell from her eyes and I threw her blanket on her and grabbed her iPod and put it across the room.
“Ah you know me I prefer to run my mouth out of anger instead” I said laughing but by that time she was half asleep as she chuckled and I just laughed turning off the lights and I made my way down to my bedroom which I had finally put the finishing touches on. I lied in my bed reading for a few moments and dozed off to sleep not even caring that I hadn’t showered but was abruptly woken up when I heard footsteps coming down the hall and almost… a whisper?
“Hannah?” I asked quietly placing the book on the other side of the bed and getting up walking towards the door… it was cold in here and this house seemed… off. I peeked out the door and all I saw was Hannah fumbling down the stairs and when I came over to her… she was sleepwalking and entranced by something.
“Shit why the first fucking night” I said to myself… she used to sleepwalk all the time when we were kids but it had been years since I last dealt with it… the last time I got a good hit to the face when I woke her up. I followed her in hopes that she wouldn’t get violent and I heard someone whisper again but Hannah’s mouth wasn’t moving, she was just standing near the living room in the entrance.
“Hannah?” I asked and she didn’t move but she put her hand out into nothing but thin air… there was absolutely nothing there… what the hell was she dreaming about? Suddenly everything stopped and Hannah turned around looking at the kitchen and screamed… it’s not a dream… it’s a memory, the same one that earned me the hit but if I remembered correctly Hannah was going to go crazy… so I grabbed her hand forcefully and not a second later did she collide her head with mine making us fall to the ground, I winced holding my face but picked Hannah up noticing she was dead asleep still and carried her to her room. I put medicine by her bed for when she woke and went back to mine taking two pills and passing out.
“ERIN SOMEONE IS AT THE DOOR!!” Hannah whined making my eyes shoot open and I heard her voice crack so I knew that last night got to her finally. I looked at the clock and it was 8:30 in the morning… who in the fuck… I thought as I ran downstairs and opened the door to Zack and Brian who now had the most shocked faces as they saw the side of my eye.
“What happened?” Zack asked and walked in running to my kitchen who was then followed by Brian.
“Sure come on in you two” I groaned before lying on the couch and Zack brought an icepack out.
“You better grab one for Hannah” I said and they both sat there looking confused as ever. I moved the two of them back just a touch before yelling up the stairs.
“GET YOUR SRAWNY ASS DOWN HERE AND DEAL WITH BRIAN!!” I shouted up the stairs making sure that no matter what state Hannah was in she could hear me and I heard her growl loudly before stomping down the stairs and I laughed cause she was cute when she was mad. She stumbled into the living room and stopped in her tracks when she saw my face while Brian walked over checking out the small cut that was above her eyebrow.
“Was it?” She asked lightly and I nodded.
“Can you fill us in here ladies?” Brian asked and I looked at Hannah who shook her head no… she and I never share this stuff and we have only just met the guys so it’s safe to say that she didn’t wanna come out with what it was about.
“It’s nothing guys, you wanna tell us why you are here today?” I asked and they just looked
at us… then each other and then back to us and Zack smiled.
“Well we are doing a set tonight at this club downtown it’s obviously metal music but we wanted to see if you two were up for coming and checking it out?” Zack said and he turned to me searching my eyes and I don’t know what was running through my mind right now.. Zack was amazing but… I felt like there was something he and his friends were hiding.
“YES!” Hannah said loudly… once again she outvoted me… dammit Hannah what are you trying to do to me?
