2 Weeks Later
Rowan

It had been two weeks since Leigha and I moved into Matt's house. It was rather lonely with just her and I. Not to mention Icky and Bella. I'm pretty sure Bella might be having some puppies by the time Matt gets back, but I don't think he'll mind. I sat on the couch watching a TV show while Leigha was taking a nap in her new room.

"Rowan?" I heard a familiar voice call out. Matt was home? He was supposed to come home in two days. I got up and walked towards him. "Hi Matt" I said, smiling at him. "You're not supposed to be home for two more days" I said, going to give him a hug. "Today was the last show, so I took the first flight out, I didn't want you to have to stay home alone any longer" he said to me. "Aw thank you Matt" I said to him, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Are you hungry?" I asked him. "I can make you some dinner." I said to him. "You don't have to Rowan" he said "I'm okay with takeout" I looked at him. "Are you sure Matt?" I asked "It's the least I can do since you're letting me live with you" He gave me a gentle smile. "I'm sure Rowan, you don't have to cook me anything. I've been living on take out for three years since I divorced Val" he said to me.

"Mommy what's for dinner?" Leigha asked me, coming down from the steps. "I'm not sure yet sweetheart" I said to her. "Why don't you go play with Icky until I figure it out okay?" She smiled and ran back up the steps to her room.

"You're not cooking dinner for me" he said to me. "Matt. You deserve an actual meal. You need to stop eating take out all the time, and as long as I live under this roof you're gonna have some delicious food in your belly" I said to him. He let out a sigh and looked at me. "Fine, you win" he said to me. "Leigha, come on down, we're going to go shopping" I called out to her. I heard her run down the steps and she ran over to us. "Is Matt coming with us?" she asked me. "Of course he is! He has to drive!" I said to her. I picked her up and set her on the couch as I began to tie her shoes. Once I had them tied, I picked her up and carried her out the door, with Matt leading us toward his black SUV. I strapped Leigha in and got in the passenger side.

"Icky!" I called, chasing after my puppy that was running toward a group of five men. "Ichabod come back here!" I yelled. I finally caught up to him when he came to a stop. "Is this little troublemaker yours?" I heard the second tallest of the group ask. It took me a moment to recognize him. He was none other than M.Shadows. I had always thought of him as an Idol. "Y-yeah" I stuttered out quietly. "Sorry if he interrupted you guys" I said to them. I gently took Icky from his hands and he smiled. "It's no problem, a cute dog belonging to a cute girl. He clearly wanted you to come over here" he chuckled, causing my cheeks to turn a rose pink as I blushed .

So what's your name?" Zacky asked me, causing me to look up at him. "R-Rowan" I stuttered out. "Say, Rowan, would you like to come hang out with us tonight?" Matt asked me. I gave him a sweet smile. "Of course!" I said to him. "Awesome, what's your number?" he asked. I smiled and quickly gave it to him. "Alright, I'll call you around eight to come and pick you up alright?" He said to me. "Okay" I said softly. I watched as he typed his number into my phone, along with Zacky and they smiled at me. "See you tonight Rowan" Matt said, giving me one of his charming smiles before walking away with the rest of his friends, leaving me there to stand in shock that he just asked me to come hang out.

8:00 pm

I heard a knock on the door, causing me to jump up and run to it. Once I reached it I stood still and let out a long exhale before opening the door. "Hey" I said, giving Matt a sweet smile. "Hello Rowan, you ready to go?" he asked looking at me. "You look stunning by the way" he said "Thank you...I didn't know how I should have dressed, it's always better to be over dressed than underdressed" I said to him. He chuckled and held his hand out. "Shall we?" he said.


"Rowan, we're here" Matt said to me, pulling me from my thoughts and memories. I smiled lightly and got out of the car and helped Leigha out. I walked with Matt, holding Leigha's hand in one hand and Matt's hand in the other. I walked through the door and put Leigha in the cart, knowing that this was going to be a long trip, especially with how picky both of them were when it came to eating. It didn't occur to me that I should have married Matt and not Zack. It took me seven years of marrige to the wrong man for me to realize it.
