Carry On

I quietly knocked on Zacks bedroom door and entered without any welcome. I shyly sat next to him, and smiled at him asleep with his TV still on. I sighed to myself and gently stroked his jet black hair. My eyes flicked to the screen at the wrong time, and some dead child did a deathly scrram making me jump and scream myself.

"What?!" Zack shot up instantly, I guess I startled him to.

"I'm sorry! I came in to talk and you were asleep but then a dead girl came from nowhere"

"Ah, you worried me. Don't get so worked up about it, it's alright. What did you want to talk about?"

"I'll save it for tomorrow, no biggy" I shrugged leaving his warm bed.

"No, seriously just tell me. You've woken me up you may as well tell me" he winked pulling me back down. I fell onto Zacks chest, and just wouldn't move away. He stroked my hair and pressured me even more to speak to him.

"It's nothing important, it's just. I wanted to sleep in here tonight" I lied embarrassingly. I didn't really know why I wanted to talk, nor what I would say.

"You don't have to ask me Ray," he kissed my head and cuddled up sweetly with me.

"I missed out with you didn't I?" I joked.

"Too right" he nudged me and turned around resting on his elbows. "You're happy right? Not right now course, but married.."

"Don't get me wrong I'm happy! But, I could be a whole lot happier" I obviously aimed that at Zack. He nodded understandingly and rested his head on mine. "Can I, uh, try something?"

"Yeah," he sighed. I looked deeply in his eyes and ignored the promise I gave Brian. I gently kissed his plump lips and couldn't pull myself away. I just couldn't.
