Carry On

Renee sat in the car and immediately burst into loud tears, she cried in her shaky hands and just wouldn't stop. There was no point talking her right now as there is no way she would hear me.

"Let's get you home" I said anyway driving off.

"He did it again" she stuttered opening the window for air.

"Brian? What again?"

"H-he, my mom, I can't" she stopped herself before she returned to the nasty cries, but it was enough for me. "You get it"

"Fucking prick" I hissed under my breath, pulling the car over. "Look at me Ren," I insisted. "You're going to stay with me until you get things figured out"

"I don't think I should"

"Well, you are. Now go in the back and get some rest, I'll wake you when were home"

I was disgusted with Brian. How could he be so heartless? Whether it was a kiss, a one night stand or a full blown affair it was a harsh, nasty careless thing to do. Especially to Renee. She had a heart of gold, she'd never do such a thing to him.

When we got home, I asked Ren what she wanted to do.

"Drink"

"I don't think that's such a good idea Ray, I mean you--"

"I didn't think it was a good idea me staying here. Now can we just go to a bar far out, stay at a motel and not give a shit for once. Maybe I'll enjoy myself for once too"

"Fine. Want to have some fun?"

"Try me" she sighed sarcastically. I rummaged through her case until I found an elegant black dress. "I'm not wearing that to a run down bar, Zack"

"Who said anything about a run down bar?"
