Matt’s POV

After our final statement at the police station was done Alicia and I went back to my home.
We were relieved that they really got the abductors and they would be arrested not only for the abduction, but for attempted rape, and bodily injury.
We had to describe each of the moments in detail again so the indictment would be correct.
It took us a few hours until we could finally leave but a weight was lifted off my shoulders.
I looked over at Alicia and she must be feeling the same, she smiled at me when we reached the car.

“I’m glad that we can close this chapter now.” I told her pulling her waist to me, kissing her lips.
“Me too.” She let her hands wander over my biceps and up to my neck.
“We need to get home… fast.” She smiled.
“Yes… there is still one task open for us.” I said and saw her frown then she nodded.
“You are right. The test…” She opened the passenger door and climbed inside.
“Would you be disappointed if it’s negative?” Alicia asked from the side.
I didn’t really know how to answer this one… “I don’t really know. I mean… I planned on having kids someday… with the woman I love…” I smiled at her.
“I guess.. there is no right time.. but I would be happy to raise my child with you, now or later…”
“Thank you.” Alicia laid her hand on top of mine.

We sat in the living room and Alicia pulled the pregnancy test out of her bag.
“I need to drink some more or… I can’t… you know.” She motioned to the test.
“Oh, yeah… Wait.” I grabbed a bottle of water and brought it to her.
She nearly drank all of it at once, then handed it to me and walked to the bathroom, I followed behind until she slammed the door shut in my face.
“You stay outside.” Alicia yelled.
“But…”
“I can’t if you are in here…” She yelled back.
“Fine..” I paced before the bathroom, waiting for her to come out again, my hands were sweaty and I didn’t know what to do with myself.
“AND?” I yelled not hearing anything from her.
That’s when the door opened and she walked out the test in her hand, she laid it on the table.
“5 minutes waiting.” She grabbed my hand and smiled.
The time seemed to stand still, how could 5 minutes be so long. Her phone beeped and she grabbed the test holding it for both of us to see.
“One line, means not pregnant.” Alicia confirmed.
“Oh…” I didn’t know how to feel, relieved… happy? Sad?
“I told you so.” Alicia said and I looked at her and she smiled a little. “Yeah, alright… I think I like the idea of having you a little more to myself before someone else wants more of your attention.” I agreed and Alicia nodded.
“I think I like the way you are thinking.” She grinned and pulled me in for a kiss.


A few weeks later


Alicia’s POV

We have been to the police again, I wanted to meet Sean… since he didn’t have any contact with the police before and my and Matt’s statements exonerate him he was released on a bail after a few weeks.
We met him on the day of his release and thanked him for his help and for warning us again.
He told us he would go away and we wouldn’t see him again, which was a little sad, but good for him, he needed to start over again and he needed distance.
We only heard afterwards that one of the other abductors was his brother, who had dragged him into this mess…

We wished him all the best and he wished us to never see him again and live a happy ever after…
We were counting on that.

Today we had another appointment at the doctor. Matt wasn’t completely convinced that the pregnancy test we made was correct so we made a blood sample and send it in…
Today we got the results…
Still negative…
Matt looked a little disappointed, I guess he was already closer to the thought of having kids then me.
I liked the idea, but he was right when he said, that we had time and that one day, I would be glad and being the Mommy for his children, but right now… I was just happy to spend my time with him and him alone…
Zack and I came along better, I could still see him sometimes looking a little sad, but time would heal all the wounds…
He even asked me to introduce him to one of my colleagues and I might actually do that.

Matt’s POV

Perfect… These last weeks had been more than perfect. Alicia and I spend as much time together as we could. We didn’t officially live together, but we spend most of the time in my home.
I loved to go to bed together with her and I loved to wake up with her in my arms.
I had a déjà-vu moment only a couple of days ago… when I had been in the situation I knew it was familiar but couldn’t really name it, but now… thinking about it… It literally was a dream comes true.

“Matt? Are you home?” I heard a Alicia’s voice that was so familiar for me.
“Yes, I am here.” I called back in reflex.
“Ahh perfect.” Alicia called.
“Where are you babe?”
“Come and find me!” She yelled back and I heard her footsteps hurrying away from me and up the stairs in my home.
I hurried after her and heard the bathroom door close.
“Babe, don’t run away from me. I missed you all day.”
“Then hurry, cause I missed you even more.”
I grinned, opened the bathroom door and saw Alicia only in a black bathrobe standing before me.
“You remember our first shower together?” She let the bathrobe drop to the floor and my mouth went dry.
“I.. yeah.. I” Was all I could say.
I drank in her body, her curves and tanned skin, she held one hand out to me and I moved forward to take it.
“Come on, we couldn’t finish what we started then.. but I wanna do it now.” She opened the door to my shower stall and moved inside, she turned on the water and her body was drenched in the streaming liquid, the water running down her face, shoulders and breasts and I tried to follow each of the drops and was wishing to be one of them…
