Hostage

Matt’s POV

When I woke up and found Alicia’s note on my bed I was a little disappointed that she was already gone.
Even if it would make things a lot easier for me, now I could get dressed and ready and drive over to Zack to have a talk with him.
I needed to talk to him, about everything I had to clean out my closet and tell him that I was stupid for not being honest with him. I should have told him right from the start that I had feelings for Alicia that I wanted to be with her, but that I would also back down if Alicia would still want to be with him.
And I needed to know what he told her, what made her cry so bad, that she didn’t want to tell me what he really said made me suspicious.

Still I wished I had the chance to snuggle closer to her and I even felt the need to lay my hand on her belly, maybe my child was growing there… maybe…
I shook my head, I shouldn’t be dreaming about this, we would be clearing this soon… until then I should concentrate on Zack on Zack and my stupid behavior.
I got into my car it was still early, but I hoped Zack would be awake, if not I would just come back later again.

I drove over there a smile on my face, why did I smile? I mean nothing was really cleared but still I had an amazing night, had the girl I loved in my arms, and if I just ignored the thought that this could be over way too soon, I would just enjoy the good mood I had.
I parked into Zack’s driveway and saw that the light in his living room was turned on.
I opened my door, when a car pulled up next to my car.
I got out and the door next to me opened, I didn’t know the car but when the passenger door was open and someone climbed out I smiled even wider and then frowned.
“Alicia?” What was she doing here?
“Matt, what are you doing here?” She looked confused and frowned.
“I wanted to talk to Zack.” I told her and closed my door walking closer to her, I felt the need to pull her into my arms, but I stopped two feet away.
“And you?” I asked but already knew the answer.
“I asked Caroline to bring me here, Zack told me he packed my things… I was here to get them and.. well… talk to him again if he lets me.” Alicia looked down and now I couldn’t help it, I walked up to her and pulled her into my arms.
She pulled away and looked up to me “Do you want to go first?”She motioned to the door.
“No, go ahead.” She had even more important things to talk to him and maybe I could hear what this was about…

I saw Alicia walking up to the door and rang the doorbell only a second later the door opened and Alicia was pulled inside and the door closed again.
Caroline looked at me, “Hey.”
“Hey.”
“What happened?” Caroline walked closer to me.
“I don’t really know. I was waiting for the explanation myself. Didn’t she say something to you?” I looked hopeful at Caroline and she sighed heavily.
“Of course she said something to me, but that doesn’t mean it made sense… you wanted to talk to Zacky? Why?” Caroline asked and looked me up and down.
“She didn’t want to say to me what happened with Zack, she just said he broke off. She was with me that last night and I… damn I… I just need to know what happened between her and Zack. I need to talk to Zack and then to her…” I looked at Caroline again and she frowned at me.
“Matt?” She made a step closer.
“Yes?” I frowned a little.
“Don’t hurt her. When you got her, don’t let her go, there won’t be any other chance…” With that Caroline turned away and walked up to Zacky’s front door knocking and then she also vanished and left me standing there alone.
What does all this mean?

Sean’s POV

I waited one day and didn’t hear anything from Will…. I told him 2 days… I knew I didn’t have two days.
Something would happen…
I had a bad feeling in my stomach, my heart was beating like crazy, but I knew this was right.
I tried one last time, calling my brother… He didn’t pick up, so I wrote him a message:

Call me within 2 hours, Sean

I drove to Matt’s home and didn’t find him there, his car was gone, no sign of him. I made a plan and I wanted to inform Matt and Alicia about what was going on and I wanted to let them know what I was planning.
Problem was I didn’t know where to look for them… I drove to Alicia’s home, her car was also not there and she didn’t open the door.
Damn it, where else?
I didn’t have that much time so I drove back to Matt’s home, pulled out a paper and a pen and thought about what I should write him.

Matt and Alicia,

I hoped we would never hear from each other again, because I knew if I would hear from you again it would only mean that something bad was about to happen.
I don’t want you to be scared but I have to inform you that the other two Abductors are planning some coup again.
I gave them an ultimatum until tomorrow to call of the plan they are having…
It’s one day left, but since you know you cannot trust these guys, I wanted you to know and to be careful no matter what happens…
Best is if you two won’t be alone anywhere so they don’t have a chance to get to you…
Especially you Matt!
I will give them 1 more hour, if I don’t hear from them I will go to the police and sell them out- sell us out.
You will be informed by the police, I guess you will have to do another statement and will have to confirm my story.
I never meant for you to get hurt and I hope that someday you can forgive me – us for what we have done to you.
I’m sorry for everything that you have to go through, I will try to make it right again.
If you don’t hear from me or the police within the next 2 days, call the number I noted on the back of this page.

I put the letter into an envelope wrote Matt and Alicia on top of it and walked up to Matt’s door.
I pushed it through the slit underneath the door and left without a second thought.
I walked back to my car, 1 more hour and then my way would bring me straight to the police, without any second thoughts.
