Hostage

Matt’s POV

“Val…” I sighed.
“But we have to keep the schedule.” Val complained.
“I know.. but you read it to me like the hundredth time. I can say it in my sleep now.” I told her and shook my head.
“I’m just worried.” Val said and looked at the plan again.
“I know, babe. But you are driving me insane.”
She sighed and finally put the list away and sat down next to me.
I laid my arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer, “I’m sorry.”
“I know.”
I kissed her temple and closed my eyes, a moment of silence.
“Yo Matt?”
Or not!
“What is it Johnny?” I opened my eyes again and saw Johnny standing in the door of the dressing room.
“Jimmy needs your help with something, told me to get you.”
“Ahh fuck man.” I took my arm away from Val and got up from the couch.
Sometimes I was just tired… and needed a break… yeah even a workaholic like me.
I walked out and went to Jimmy and his Drums.
He was trying to adjust his kit with the help of Jason one of our close friends and roadies.
“I got this idea.. listen.” When Jimmy was seated he started to play and I smiled at the sight of him.
Fully transformed into the beast behind the drums - sweating and playing this powerful beat…
I nodded my head to the rhythm, then he stopped suddenly and looked expectantly at me.
Genius at work, couldn’t say anything else about this guy, my best friend and band mate.
“Awesome. Need paper and pencil to write it down?”
“Yeah…” Jimmy nodded and I went back to the dressing room to get the things Jimmy needed and saw Val already studying the schedule and with the other hand on the phone.
She was like me… workaholic at its best… and sometimes this was just too much for me.

Alicia’s POV

“This would be your desk, if you need anything else just push this button then the -21 and I will be on the other line.” I nodded at the nice woman who introduced me to my new working place.
“Thank you.”
“No problem. Talk to you later.”
“Yes.”
She went away and I looked at my new office.
Nice, I was sitting alone, got a huge desk and everything was prepared.
I also had my documents for my log in account of my pc lying ahead of me so, ready to work.

“And is everything working or do you need some help?” My new boss John Hamilton asked and leaned against the doorframe of my office.
“No everything is fine. Thank you.” I replied with a smile.
“If you need something, just tell Nancy, she will take care of it.” He smiled friendly.
“Yes, she told me. But I think I am good for now, thank you Mr. Hamilton.”
“Alright, I have a meeting with some important clients at 4 and I want you to be there.” He told me and I got a little nervous.
“Yes, alright. I’ll be ready.”
“Perfect.”
He walked outside to his office next door and I sighed in relief. I always felt this pressure when beginning a new job and wanted to do everything right.
When I would get home I would grab my bag and head over to the gym to get rid of the tension.
I haven’t been to the gym as often as I planned to but I think that’s what I needed.
Finally I felt like I had something new and something good ahead of me…
Forget everything in the past and start a new…

Wiliam’s POV

“How much did we get this time?”
I looked into the bag and showed the maybe 200 hundred dollar to Carl.
“That’s fucking nothing…” he nearly yelled.
“Shut the fuck up! Or do you want all to know?!” I closed the bag and moved quickly to the car.
Carl got in the passenger seat and me behind the wheel.
“Shit, I just thought it would be more.” Carl slammed his fist against the side window.
“It’s just a small shop, what did you think that the old man got thousands of dollars lying around there?” I started the engine and we drove off.
“No, but listen Will, we gotta plan the next coup better, we need to find something big. Maybe a supermarket next… or a bank!” He sounded excited at the idea.
I looked at him shocked.
Carl always had been a little over the top but this was even for him out of the league.
