Danger Line (re-write)

'She'

Hannah
I was woken this morning by Jack licking my face, jumping off the bed and rushing over to the bedroom door, his indication that it was time for breakfast.

“Okay,” I yawned, sitting up on the bed. I realised that I’d fallen asleep in my silk robe on top of the covers as I covered myself with the robe again.

That’s weird, I can’t normally sleep unless I’m tucked away in bed or drunk out of my mind. Why am I wearing socks that are dirty on the bottom? What the fuck did I do last night?

It wasn’t until I lifted my arms to my head to fix my bedhead ponytail and was stopped by a burning pain in my right shoulder that it all came flooding back to me. Sam and Dean were supposed to kill me last night, Dean tackled me in an attempt to save his brother – although I wasn’t doing anything – and subsequently dislocated my shoulder, they took me to hospital and got my shoulder popped back into place, that’s the last thing I remember.

“Oh God,” I groaned as I walked out of the bedroom “Stupid, stupid, stupid,” I chanted over and over again as I made my way through my apartment and into the kitchen.

“Why are you stupid?” Erin asked from my kitchen table, making me jump and scream with freight.

“Fucking Hell,” I whispered “What are you doing here?” I asked.

“What happened to your arm?” She asked.

I looked down and realised that my arm was in a sling and tied around my neck, which was quickly removed and thrown on the table.

“I had a fall last night and I had to go to the hospital,” I admitted. Technically, it wasn’t a lie.

“Are you alright?” She asked worriedly, moving closer to me and gently touching my elbow with a concerned look on her face “Who took you?” She asked “You didn’t drive yourself, did you?”

“No,”

“And the one neighbour that you actually like is too big to get behind the wheel, Matt and all of the guys were in the house last night, so did your dad or Cooper come and get you?”

“No,” I repeated, pouring myself some coffee Erin had obviously made.

“Then who?” She asked “Hannah Grace, you tell me the truth right now,”

“I’ll tell you the truth on two conditions,” I bargained and she nodded quickly in agreement “Sam was here,”

“Sam?” She asked “As in Sam Winchester, the love of your life, the man you almost married?” I nodded “What did he do to you?” She asked.

“Not him…” I trailed off. She only looked confused for a second before the shocking look of realisation snapped onto her face.

“Dean?” Her voice was barely above a whisper, but I nodded slowly “Okay, what the fuck happened here last night?”

I refilled her mug with some more coffee and sat down at the table with her and told her everything that happened last night, from walking Jack in the park late at night to the awkward drive to the hospital. Erin didn’t say anything through the whole story, and by the end of it she was just staring at me blankly.

“Where are they staying?” She asked calmly.

“I don’t know,” I admitted “All I know is that they’re staying at some Motel, Dean said that their dad was waiting for them to get back,”

“Can’t be too hard to find them then,” She shrugged “There’s only three motels anywhere near here, we just go to them all and find any of their commonly used surnames, you know, the ones they use when they don’t want to use Winchester,” I nodded and sighed.

“I can’t do that today,” I told her, finishing off the contents of my mug “The movers are going to be here in two hours, that’s all the time I have to finish packing up my things, then it’s over to the house and I have to get ready for the photographer with Matt to have some pictures done for the engagement announcement before going over to Gary and Kim’s again for a family dinner and to tell everyone we’re getting married,”

“So I’m on my own then?” She asked, sounding slightly pissed, but more scared than anything else. I knew she wouldn’t want to face Dean alone any more than I’d wanted to see Sam alone.

We weren’t the only ones with history.

“Unless you hold it off until tomorrow so that I can come with you,” I suggested.

“Knowing them, they might not even be in town tomorrow,” She put her head in her hands and groaned loudly “I’ll go myself, surely it can’t be too bad,”

“Just don’t kill him,” I chuckled “So, what are you doing here anyway?”

“I was on my way back from my dad’s house,” She said sadly, looking down at the mug in her hands.

“How is she?” I asked sympathetically, reaching over and placing my hand on top of hers.

“She’s getting big,” She smiled with a small chuckle “She shouldn’t be stuck all the way out there though,”

“I know,” I told her “Soon though,”

After staying to chat with Hannah for a little while longer, I left her to finish her packing – there was no use in me offering to help, she’d only get annoyed at the way I was packing her things because it isn’t the way she does it – and headed off to the first motel on the list, mentally remembering all of the names that the Winchester men would use when out on a job.

I couldn’t believe they were about to do a hit on Hannah, but she claimed that they admitted to not knowing that it was her.

Silly boys, they’d decided to stay in the hotel closest to us and use their own name, making them very, very easy to find.

I stood outside their door, number seventeen and braced myself to knock, but as I raised my hand, the door opened before I could knock and Sam almost walked right into me.

“Erin?” He asked, a smile spreading across his face.

“Hey Moose,” I teased, dropping my hand back to my side.

“What are you doing here?” He asked “Is Hannah alright?”

“She’s fine,” I chuckled “And thank you for taking her to the hospital this morning,”

“It wasn’t any problem,” He leaned down and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a comfortable embrace “How’s…”

“Fine,” I smiled into his shoulder before pulling away “Your brother around?”

“Inside,” He stuck his thumb over his shoulder, gesturing to the door “He’s taking a shower and dad’s out, you can just go in and wait if you want,”

“Thanks,” I looked around before my eyes landed back on Sam “Where are you off to?” He asked.

“I’m going to meet my dad at some coffee shop on the pier and then go and visit Hannah, check up on her myself,”

“I wouldn’t do that last part,”

“Why not?” He asked, furrowing his eyebrows together.

“She’s moving out today,” He cocked his head to the side “She’s going to live with the fiancé,” I wanted to cringe at the word, and my chest hurt for him when I saw the look on his face at the mention of it.

“I noticed that,” He sighed “I should have guessed,”

“Don’t worry,” I whispered “I’ll make sure she gets in touch with you soon, okay?”

“Okay,” He nodded, reaching into his pocket before handing me a small white card with a number on it “Give her this, it’s my mobile number,”

Dean
I was singing my heart out – badly – to the song playing on the shower radio. This motel was one of the nicer ones we’ve stayed in.

Once I’d shampooed, conditioned, rinsed and repeated and shaved. I jumped out of the shower and wrapped the complimentary towel around my waist and left the bathroom, still humming the tune to the song I’d just finished singing.

I left the bathroom, confidently strutting my towel-clad stuff knowing fine well that I was here alone, before jumping, causing my towel to fall when someone cleared their throat.

“Hello Dean,” The most familiar voice to me came from the bed, I grabbed the towel from the floor and wrapped it back around me in one motion before turning to face her, seeing her lounging on the bed, smirking at me “Nice stuff,”

“Like you’ve never seen my ‘stuff’ before,” I shot back seductively. Damn, I always do that and it always gets me into trouble, especially with Erin.

“Oh, I’ve seen it plenty times, buddy.” She sat up “But we have to talk about a few things this
time,”

“I already know what this is going to be about…” I groaned inwardly “How is she?” I asked.

“Fine, getting big, but that doesn’t matter,”

“Then what does matter?”

“She’s coming home soon,” She smiled, more to herself than to me “And I think you should be here when I bring her back into town,”

It was early afternoon by the time all of my stuff was moved into the Avenged mansion and I’d turned in my apartment key, but there wasn’t any time to be sad, because as soon as I was in the house, Matt had two random women I’ve never seen before in my life whisk me off into the bedroom we would share from now on, so that they could do my hair and makeup perfectly – which they did – before they practically had to sew me into a pale pink dress that was satin with a layer of lace over the top, it was gorgeous, but come on, a girl has to breathe. Not that there was any time for that either, Matt and I spent the rest of the afternoon being ordered around by a photographer in the back yard under the gorgeous tree and being told ‘sit like this’ and ‘hold her like that’ or ‘look at him this way’ and let me tell you, with my foul mood today and everything going on in my life, looking at Matt like we were madly in love was not the easiest thing to do, given that I wanted to punch him in the jaw again.

I was in ‘our’ bedroom, standing in my underwear while sorting my hair so I didn’t look like a damn model and looked like a normal woman again when Matt came into the room and started stripping out of his clothes while laying out his next outfit at the same time.

“Get ready,” He ordered, making me stop what I was doing, turn around and look at him as if to say ‘really?’ “What?” He asked, noticing my look.

“What the fuck does it look like I’m doing?” I asked rhetorically, but the way he looked at me from head to toe, taking in everything from my bouncy curls to my tanned legs and the storm of lust that started in his eyes, I knew that he was going to answer me.

“Waiting for me to fuck you,” He growled, closing the distance between us, pressing our almost
completely naked bodies together. I make a sound of disgust and pushed his chest as hard as I could, making him move away from me slightly.

“You’re a pig,” I told him matter of factly, and then it hit me… “We’re going to have to… you know… eventually, aren’t we?”

“Uh huh,” He smirked at me in the mirror “And the sooner the better,”

Not only was it a great movie with amazing acting, it was very informative! God forbid something like that would happen to someone, but if it happened, i'd know how to alert someone that I was in the trunk! (:
