Zacky,

Thank you for respecting my wishes and not coming to find me. I know I haven’t talked to you or anyone else in three months but I feel better now. I’ve spent the past few months traveling along the Italian coast and enjoying the sights. In one village I stopped in they taught me how to make wine and had to mash the grapes with my feet! I saw in the local paper in Vienna that the tour will come here and travel Europe. I’m proud of you guys for continuing your music. I will write you again soon.

You know how hard it was to not come after you but I love you and when you love someone you respect their wishes. I am so happy to hear from you after all these longs months and you’ve missed so much! Brian and Michelle have announced a date for their wedding! You should be getting an invitation in the mail now that we have your address. I really hope you attend. If you want to come to any of the shows in Europe your name will be on the backstage pass list. I love you always.

I received the invitation days before I got your last letter. Let them know I will attend. However this is my last letter for a while, I’ll be traveling and even though this is my permanent address here I have no way to get the mail. Stay safe and have fun on tour.

The Nightmare tour in Europe lasted for months until a week before Brian and Michelle’s wedding. Diana arrived back to her place in Rome to a plethora of letters from everyone not only Zacky. Diana arrived however the day before she had to leave for the wedding. She packed lightly and went to bed since the flight was actually at one in the morning. Once she boarded the flight she slept again and when she woke up she was back in California. She caught a cab to her house, the same house that had been unoccupied in almost a year.

Walking in she could smell the dust and the old memories rushed over her. The couches and furniture were covered in white sheets. She took her bags and headed up the stairs and dropped them at her bedroom door and turned on the light. She looked around the room and started taking sheets off the bed and lamps. She went to the closet and grabbed new linens and covered the bed and sat down pulling out her phone. She knew she could call anyone in the group and they would be there in a second or she could keep up her distance and just do what she came to do, attend a wedding then leave.

Diana dropped her phone on the bed and went to her closet. She didn’t shop in Italy, which would have been fashionably smart, so she was stuck with her old wardrobe. She shuffled the dresses around until she found one zipped up. She pulled it off the shelf and laid it on the bed and unzipped it. She realized when the white poked through after unzipping it a little that it was her wedding dress and Momo must have put it in her house once she left. Momo was probably the one that got her car from the airport and covered her house in sheets. Diana quickly tucked the dress away in the closet and settled on a light blue dress she bought but never wore before.

The wedding was small and elegant like Michelle. Diana drove herself to the location that she was told about previously and walked in as everyone was settling down. She quickly found a chair on the back row and sat. It was only a matter of minutes before the ceremony began. First Brian walked down the aisle to the alter where the priest already stood. Next the Maid of Honor, Valarie, walked down with Matt, the best man. She noticed that Johnny and Zacky were already seated in the front row next to her parents. When Michelle walked down the aisle and stood at the alter Diana couldn’t remember the last time Brian looks so happy and Michelle looked even more gorgeous than she remembered and she didn’t know if it was because she hadn’t seen any of them in months or if it was because they were getting married and it was a glow.

When the ceremony was over and everyone stood to clap as they walked down the aisle it was the first time that anyone noticed her and when Brian did she saw him light up more if that was even possible. Diana gave him a smile as he walked by and the wedding party started to file out and towards the room they were going to hold the reception in. Diana was one of the last people to file out which meant she was in the back of the crowd for the first dance and the toast which made Diana start to cry when Brian started talking about Jimmy.

As soon as drinks and food was coming out and being served Diana saw it as her chance to leave. As quietly as she had come in she started to walk down a back hall but she heard her name being shouted and stopped to turn around. Brian quickly grabbed her and embraced her in the deepest hug he had ever given her.

“Thank you for coming.”

“Michelle would have killed me if I had missed it.”

“I know she would have but please, stay.”

“You know I can’t do that.”

“Yes you can. Am I the only one that knows you’re here?”

“Yeah and I need you to be the only one that knows until I leave again. If everyone knows I’m here they won’t let me leave.” Diana rested her hand on Brian’s cheek.

“Congratulations Brian.” She let her hand slide off his face and turned around to leave again. He didn’t stop her but he didn’t leave his spot as she walked down the hall and out the backdoor. By the same time the next night she was back in Italy staring out of her balcony window over the sleepy city as it settled but her heart was filled once again with sadness.

Hello everyone guess who's back! This summer has been crazy and non stop and my plans to write while gone went right out the window. I want this story to be longer than the first one so the chapter may be short or long, depending on the week, and will update some time on Friday. If anyone has any ideas they want to leave in the comments they are welcome since I haven't written any of the other chapters. Happy reading!
