No Strings Attached

~Brian's POV~
Jess and I sat in a comfortable silence on our drive to the hospital for our 3rd check up. But this wasn't a normal check up, this was the one where we would find out if we are having a boy or a girl.

Hopefully, I would really love to have a boy so that I could teach him to play different instruments. But if it's a girl, I'll treat her like a princess and make sure no one gets near her. Good god she will be beautiful. That means I will have to work extra hard to keep the guys away from her. If we are having a boy, I hope he is nothing like me because I'm such a horrible person.

"Right babe?" Jess said, snapping me out of my little bubble.

"I'm sorry Hun but I was thinking. I didn't hear you. Can you repeat that again?" I said sweetly to her.

Rolling her eyes, she said,"I like the name Jeremy. Don't think that would be cute?"

"Jeremy? Really? What about like Brian?" I smirked because I knew she hated it when I said that but I say just to annoy her.

"We have had the conversation countless times. I am not naming my son after you and your dad. God forbid he has your fucking attitude."

"Hey...my dad and I are fucking awesome. Everyone knows that and our son will be apart of our little crew my dad and I have."

"What crew? It's only you and your dad. Anyways, just drop it, what about a girl name?" I saw the way her eyes twinkled when she was talking about having a daughter.

Pulling into a parking space at a parking lot, I stopped the car and looked at her. The sun streaming through the window hit her face perfectly, giving her a honey glow. Her smile radiated so brightly, I could feel my heart swell with love and adoration.

"I love you Jessica. I love you so so much. Marry me." I said with a very serious tone.

"I love you too and soon Bri, soon." She kissed me so subtly, so sensually, I wanted more.

"We have to start planning the wedding."

"We should get married when your baby bump becomes bigger. That would be absolutely perfect." I said softly, picturing Jess walking down the aisle towards me with her baby bump more than obvious. God she would look beautiful.

"Bri...I would love to get married soon, but I want to get married after we have the baby that way my body can go back to normal and I'll fit into the dress of my dreams." Jess said.

"Anything for you. Whenever you're ready, I'll be right there down the aisle, waiting to call you Mrs. Haner. Now, let's go see if we are having a girl or a boy." I jumped out first then quickly made my way towards her side, helping her out and grabbing her hand tightly.

"Syn! Syn!" Screaming filled my ears, making me cringe. "Oh my god and he's with Jess! Jess you look so beautiful! Can we get an autograph and a picture?"

I looked over at Jess who was forcing a smile. I knew how she felt about keeping the pregnancy on the DL.

So I said," I'm sorry guys but not right now. Jess and I have somewhere to be. It's extremely urgent. But when I see you guys again, make sure to remind me to take a picture."

"Okay. Oh my gosh I love you guys." We waved to the small group of fans and quickly walked into the hospital.

~
"Jessica Dawn? The doctor is ready to see you." A nurse called to us. Jess exhaled and stood up. I could immediately tell that she was nervous and truthfully, so was I. Today is the day we find out the new addition to our families.

"Jimmy said he wants us to have a girl because he wants to spoil her." Jess whispered as I placed my hand on the small of her back, smiling to myself.

"He will spoil our child regardless the sex. He already bought toys." Jess smiled, thanking the nurse as she sat down on the table.

"I'm so excited, Love."
"Wow...can you believe we are gonna have a baby and get married? It's crazy." She shook her head with a huge smile on her face. "I couldn't be happier-"

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Come in." I said to who was probably Dr. Andrews.

"Good afternoon Brian and Jess. From looking at your chart, this is your 3rd check up and the last time you were here was about a month ago, correct?" We nodded. "And you're here to find out the sex?" We both nodded once more. "Okay. Well let's find out."

"Jess if you could please lay back and lift your shirt up, that would be great. Just like last time, this will be cold."

I nervously reached for Jess' hand, feeling her squeeze tightly. The air became very dry, making it hard to breathe and I was starting to break a sweat. The doctor squeezed the gel onto her baby bump and I could instantly hear the strong heartbeat of our child.

"Strong heart beat, growth is perfect. Now...would you like to know the sex of your baby?" He asked with a smile. We both nodded vigorously, tightening the grip on each others hand.

"Congrats Brian and Jessica, you will be bringing a beautiful girl into the world." He said with a smile.

"Oh my god. A baby girl. We are gonna have a girl." I did not hesitate to kiss her. My eyes stung with tears as I looked at the screen that showed our baby. A lump sat at the back of my throat as I realized how grateful I am to be apart of something so beautiful. "My dad is gonna be so happy he's having a grand daughter and the guys will be happy that they will have niece. Wow..."

"Brian...a girl. This is perfect." She snaked her arms around my neck and kissed my cheek as I felt her tears fall onto my shoulder. I tangled my fingers into her brown hair and hugged her, letting a few tears fall as well."

"Now, let's go tell Suzy and my dad." I helped her clean up and we left the hospital. My cheeks were staring to hurt from all the smiling I was doing but I didn't care. I was so ecstatic.

~30 minutes later Jess's POV~

Jessica! It's so nice to see you. You look gorgeous sweetheart." Brian Sr. said to me as he stood up from his chair and walked over to greet me with hug. Brian walked over to Suzy and Mac, giving them kisses on the cheek.

"Nice to see you too, Pops Gates." I smiled and walked over to Suzy and McKenna.

"Hey Suzy! It's great seeing you again. And Mac, you're so gorgeous. I missed you, you little munchkin. You know Brian is always telling me about how proud he is of you." I hugged her again them I finally sat down beside Brian, intertwining our fingers.

"So what's this about? I know this because I haven't seen you both in a while. Are you keeping my son in line? Because if he's getting out of hand, just tell me and I'll kick his ass."Brian Sr. laughed but stopped once he saw Suzy and Mac glaring at him.

"I'm doing my best but if he does, I'll be sure to tell you." Brian Sr. and I smirked at each other once Brian faked a pout.

"Actually dad, Suzy, and Mac, there's something really important we have to tell you guys." He paused to take my hand in his, "Jess is pregnant. And we are having a girl. We just came back from the hospital."

Suzy smiled and so did Mac. They got up and hugged us both. Suzy placed her hand on my stomach with tears running down her face. "Awwe congrats you guys!"

"Yeah! I'm going to be an auntie." McKenna smiled radiantly.

"Dad?" Brian asked once he noticed Brian Sr. didn't say or do anything. I felt my palms become sweaty and with every second that drew up, I became more and more nervous. Was he going to disapprove us being together? Was he going to scream and shout at us for being childish and not using protection? With what seemed like an eternity, he finally got up and walked towards Brian. I could defiantly tell Brian was nervous by the way his forehead creased and he bit his lip.

"Congrats son. I'm so happy for the both of you. I'm going to be a grandfather. Fuck. I'm getting old." He joked as he wiped a tear.

"Aww don;t cry." I hugged him and he hugged back.

"You know, I'm really happy that you and Brian met. I'm happy that you have finally shown him what true love is. I'm glad you found him and that he found you because truthfully, I don't see him with anyone else. I love you guys so much." We all hugged in the middle of the little restaurant.

I can't wait to have the baby. I can't wait for Brian and I to get married so that we can raise our daughter in a huge house. I can't wait to spend the rest of my days with the one I love. And that one is Brian Elwin Haner Jr.
