The news of my pregnancy came as quite the shock. I had not intended to tell George’s family so soon, we all were still in mourn for him. I could tell by the looks on their faces that they understood my heartbreak.

After a few hours, of sitting in the living room and talking to my sister in laws and my mother in law, well writing to them and Brian did most of the talking. The rest of the guys were nice enough to give us all some privacy and went to the kids play room with them. My MIL seemed to be a little skeptical about me living in my house that I shared with my late husband, now with my older brother and his four adult male friends. I tried to explain to her that they all were my friends as well. But I also was not out to get her approval.

The time had come that the three of them decided to leave. It was night, and the playroom had become very quiet.

Walking a few steps to the room, I peeked inside. Not only were Lexi and Jeremy asleep, but so were Jimmy, Johnny, Zacky and Shadows as well. All spread out in different parts of the room on the floor, except Lexi she was asleep on on Jimmy’s back.

After all the sleepers were woken, minus the kids, and packed up in the vehicles I decided at the last minute for a family gathering. I had missed them all.

“When would you like to do it?” Lynn asked kinda weary about it.

“Are you sure you are ready for it?” Marie knew I was still heartbroken, but they all knew that
George loved having the family over.

Nodding my head to them, I wrote down that that coming Saturday if they all were available.

“We will be here.”

“Is there anything you want us to bring? That is a lot of cooking to do.” MIL asked me, shaking my head no I motioned to the house indicating the guys could help me.

“I will make sure to bring Tyler. He has been asking for you since he last saw you. He is so sad without you.” Lynn spoke.

“So is Wade. We all have missed you, especially the kids.” Hugging all the ladies good buy I made my way back in the house. Tyler was Lynn’s youngest boy. He was small for his age, but had a big heart and a lot of love. Wade was Maria’s oldest son, same age as Tyler but Tyler was older by 6 months but a good foot taller. I had been around these boys since they were 2 years old. They both were close to turning 9. The oldest of all the nephews was Chris. He was turning 15 in just a few months.

I hadn't felt the tears fall down my cheeks until I was comforted by a sleepy Zacky. Wiping my cheeks dry he pulled me into a hug, rubbing my back.

“Is she okay?” The voice of Shadows was behind me, I didn’t hear a reply I only assumed he shook his head.

Pulling away I smiled softly at him and pecked his cheek in a thank you manner.

“Ivy, is everything okay?”

Turning to see all the guys were not awake, I wrote down what I had told the girls.
They all seemed to Agree and seemed excited about it. Maybe Jimmy and Johnny more than the others. I could not wait to see all the kids again. The guys hadn’t seen some of them for a few years.

It was late now but I was not tired, feeling like watching a movie I grabbed a box of popcorn and threw it at Bryan, walking to the TV I grabbed a few DVD cases and proceeded to insert Clash of the Titans.

“MOVIE NIGHT!!” Jimmy screamed, and picked up Johnny and slung him on the couch.
Then ran off to the bathroom because one of my dogs proceeded to chase him.

This could be a long night, but it felt okay. It felt right. To be here, with my guys and able to see my family soon.
